Professor, can I know the natural or reverse turn is 90 degree or 135 degree? I just started to learn waltz, so this my be a stupid question. I saw ppl turn 135 and not sure what is the name of the 135 degree turn.
Thanks Lucy for your reasonable question. In Natural Turn we do 3/8 of turn to Right (135 degrees) in each bar. In Reverse we turn 3/8 to Left. When we turn just 1/4 or 90 degrees it becomes Box. Hope this is helpful.
Mr. Egils Smagris I have been asking a lot of questions from people in Korea watching videos. Thanks for the good video. I will send it to you when my video production is finished.
Hey man, you might remember me from a comment in one of your other videos about a month ago, i would have commented on that video again but I couldn’t find it, anyway I’m the guy who said that I had just started, and I had been put straight into silver level because my partner was quite advanced because she had been dancing for 5 years before I started, and I told you that I had my first competition coming up and you wished me good luck and hoped I did well, anyway, I came first for Latin in that competition and 3rd in ballroom, and I have had another competition since then and I came 1st in Latin again and this time second in ballroom, so now I’m in gold level for Latin and I’m half way through silver for ballroom and I’ve got another competition coming up on the sixth of August, thanks for the videos, some of them are very helpful, I hope to see many more in the future.
Thanks Callum for appreciating our dance videos! Really glad you did well in latin and ballroom competitions. Wish you every success in August dance comps!
