- How to remove CB750K analog gauges in preparation for installing new aftermarket tachometer and speedometer. PLUS, the return of SUBSCRIBER RIDES!
It's the return of my 1974 CB750K brat project! In this episode we remove the factory (or are they?) CB750 instrument panels in preparation for a new set of smaller diameter, lower profile gauges.
The old gauges were in somewhat rough shape. Instead of trying to repair them, I decided to try out a set of small aftermarket gauges.
These are the gauges that I'm trying out:

So... who thinks these gauges will last more than one riding season? Who wants to see more videos on a more regular basis???👍
Any update on the gauges? Did they last?
Hey bud. On my girlfriends phone here. You have helped me out a lot personally but I wanted to throw this out to the audience. EBAY is the best place to figure out what goes where. Especially if your like me and bought a bike completely disassembled in boxes in the back of a truck. Looking for new parts on ebay and I kept telling myself “ oh shit I have one of those so that’s where it goes “
Now I know how to attach those instruments, that black piece with the hard to reach bolts has been detached from both gauges already. Thanks I just keep peicing it together. I’ll be a small engine mechanic by the time I’m thru.
Sorry I found your channel in 2020, but by far this is my favorite. Thanks mike.
Great videos Mike, keep them coming!
Thanks! Giving it a whirl.
Love the videos, and of course we want to see more! Cheers!
I'm going to start with one every 2 weeks. They may not always be specifically bike related but you never know
Any video is a good video mate :)
More videos more often would be excellent!
For $30 worth trying out, but would be surprised if you get long life out of them. Keep posting, your vids are informative and entertaining.
Thanks Brice! I'm thinking the same, but even if they die on me I'll have the extra work already done to run a legit setup. 😀
That's great to hear Alex! It gives me a bit of hope. 😃
Top notch my man!
Thanks Midwest!
hello! great video on the tach jumper cable, worked perfectly on my CL360, just a question, what did you did with the tach cable? cant seem to find a plug for the tach gear.
I used a hacked up old cable to block it temporarily. 4into1 sells a tach block off plug for the Cb750 (and cb400 I thiiiink) so that was going to be my long term solution.
@@Mike_Barker found it! perfect, thanks :)
You are American Colinfuze!! Nice video.
But I'm actually Canadian!
@@Mike_Barker Yes I noticed that later LOL
Like the look of the gauges! Does it bother you that they are in kph and not mph?
Not at all! We use km/h here in the great white north 😉
So, have the gauges worked? My gauge cluster is looking nasty and faded, I think I need to invest on something but Koso is waayyy overpriced.
