@dieseldavetrains8988 this brings back many memories. As for the racecourse the ground is contaminated with many chemicals and toxic substances from the oil refinery and surrounding buildings. The developers should purchase Canterbury Racecourse instead of Rosehill. Canterbury Racecourse is surrounded by housing so it makes sense to purchase this racecourse rather than Rosehill. It is also near Canterbury railway station.
