Installed tein street basis on my sister celica(stock height) because it's much cheaper then buying a stock (4)shocks, 2yrs later the ride still feels comfortable 👍🏽
Just wanted to add that when using the Flex A/Z , you can also use the Tein EDFC system . I run the Flex series on my TSX and I highly recommend the EDFC for ease of adjustability with dampening
been pleasantly surprised by all tein products. the cheap tein street basis for 350z are comfortable and plenty firm for street. Really love the setup. You must stay within the recommended ride height as described in the instructions.
3:10 this is a touchdown without oscillation. Myself using streetflex'es on my accord, and they behave perfectly, have them almost 7 years on car. Respect to TEIN!
I've been waiting for so long to hear someone describe a set of coilovers the way you described the Flex A, thank you lol I know what set I'm getting B)
Hell yeah! That is awesome to hear you found our video helpful! We would love to see some pictures of your ride on those coilovers sometime! bit.ly/2obqAZQ
I just bought tein flex Z for my 99 honda prelude first time havent put it in yet but soon,10 years ago I ran tein super street on same car and they work perfect but they no long sell super street,I heard to made it into tein flex z so that's why I went with the tein flex Z plus DEFC
I have Tein Street Basis Z coilovers on my 2010 Subaru Impreza. I installed them with a friend about two years ago from this moment. They still perform super well for only taking $430 out of my wallet. They aren't rusty, don't ride any differently than when first installed and they're actually really tolerable. They will wake your car up and feel planted. Another huge plus, they're actually comfortable enough non car people don't have an issue riding along in the car. Only downside is I didn't buy the Teins that have adjustable top hats for camber. Great product, probably the BEST modification I've done yet.
How has it been with using the oem tophats? That's the only thing kinda putting me off about tein's entry level coilovers. With my car being FWD, I was thinking of going with some CC bolts up front and camber arms in the rear. If not, godspeed's mono rs/ss have my interest that include adjustable tophats, but those are a mono tube design and I'm not sure of their quality. Any advice? Was getting ur camber within reason easy?
Matthew McLean The tophats were too big of a deal. Just be safe when removing them from your OEM struts. As for camber, I bought camber bolts for up front and am on the way to buying rear lower control arms. I've been in a Subaru Outback with godspeed coilovers and the ride was honestly too stiff for daily driving. It was most likely how he had it set up but personally, our opinion was Tein > GodSpeed. Tein just felt more perfected out of the box.
This is partly why FI is so good "Hey this thing on my car is a bit of a right pickle to figure out, why not make a video of it" Helping people out instead of going how dare you pollute with your cars even tho we sell car stuff like Gillette would 😂😂
You should do a comparison between the most affordable suspension and their reputation/reliability/long-term quality. And the ones that offer value for the money.
Tell us about all of the sets! I am loving it! What's best for hauling lots of gear and big hits on gravel roads. Trying to build several rally style toyota cars right now that extra spare tires and tools are hauled with.
I'm currently rocking a set of Tein S Tech Lowering Springs, on my 2010 Corolla, but I'm switching to BC Racing Coilovers Extreme drop, when winter is finally over, because my OEM Struts are bad right now, and I don't want to replace them. I rather get Coilovers and be lower to the ground plus I can adjust the Ride height down to a 2.8 inch 1/2 Drop at the Front and a 2.5 inch 1/2 Drop at the Rear
alan connelly Basically just now I hit some snow that was plowed at the side of the road and it started making a loud noise I thought I broke something but I pulled over got out to check and seen snow between my wheel well and tire
Hey I have a Honda cr z and I’m ordering the street basis z kit for my car which requires you to use stock mounting for the tops do you think the stock parts will hold up okay or should I look into aftermarket options? Thanks you for the content and the car has around 130,000 miles so the stock stuff is pretty worn out
Ordered a set of Flex Zs for my 99 Lexus GS, along with a set of Megan Racing sway bars. I am also redoing the front suspension with OEM parts. Do I need to think of adding a Roll Center Adjuster? I am planning on a mild drop, No more than a 2" drop. If I do need a RCA how do I know how to choose?
I know you guys focus mostly on coilovers, but what about their spring line? Lots of folks don't know what S. Tech and H. Tech mean and the difference.
this is a very informative vid, sorry I did not see this before I bought the enduro pro plus for my wrx sti, now I think they are mashed up just over 2 years of being in use😞😞
Looking for reviews on their pricier products, circuit master super racing for example. Would suck if I dump $3K on a coilover and some sub $2K coilover outperforms.
Which Tein coilovers is best on a Infiniti Q50s that has DDS/DAS system? Do I get the one that can adjust height only since the DDS system can do the damper ride adjustment.
@@maxxas5067 I've seen a lot of people run racelands and getting rid of them after a year because they blown up. The fact that lots of people use something, doesn't make that thing any good.
For my daily driver obviously I want it to be comfortable but I do plan on lowering a little and driving hard sometimes. Should I go with the flex A or flex Z? I have to drive on some bad roads too, I don't want to bounce all over rhe place.
im using flex zs on my rx8 and i love them but sometimes its making a bang on the back coilovers at bigger bumps or slightly higher load - i know u stated that A is more for comfort but usually i dont ride with passengers and still getting the coilover hitting the limiter and i was wondering if increasing the preload would help reducing or removing it - id prefer to ask before i try it on my own since its winter here and i cant check it on the road

i keep calling it Tien too to make it even better

That's why I'm hesitating,
I don't want comfortable ride, I want it to be quite stiff. Are the basis Z stiff?
@@mohammedsalimahmed5230 new basis z have a stiffer spring rate because there were come complaints about them being too soft

Wow thank You very much for the diff between the types of coilovers tein offers . Was wondering about top mounts and such now I know thanks!

Lot's of IS300 owners run Yonaka coilovers. Y'all should do a vid on that.
Definitely explain the higher performance and more expensive parts of their line up too! Especially with godspeed if you do them
the more expensive are only for racing...................the flex z is the most popular option there for street use...
I've got the Circuit Master coilovers on my BRZ and love them.
Are they good on the road?
I needed this
