@AnimeMaakuo The original OVA came out ages ago, if we want to see the original then we can go get ourselves one of those old dubbed vhs (lol). The point of this new remaster is to release it for the new generation of anime lovers and those who would like something "new". Being a fan, I am hyped for this rerelease.
@AoiKageNoChikara To me, good or bad, the filler has become part of its own "animated version canon", even stated by Toriyama. Personally, I find a lot of the early filler, in the Saiyan arc, really helps to build Gohan as a character and some of the later non-canon scenes gives the story some room to breathe and grow. Yes, it goes way too far at times, but Kai does the opposite. I think that there's a certain necessity to let manga adaptations to breathe a little in their anime adaptations.
@AoiKageNoChikara That's YOUR opinion. Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z are the animated version of this material as created by Toei. That's the decided animated version, flaws and all. You don't have to like it's flaws, but they are part of the experience. This is one of the reasons I can't accept Kai as a "replacement" for Z, because as closer as it is to the manga, it's for one not created to supplant Z with a more manga-accurate version, it's a cut up version of the already existing version.

Those are "MY" childhood memories, as "Kai" is "THEIR" childhood memories. They'll just have to figure it out, it's whatever.

They are virtually impossible to get a hold of, and the only best quality remaster you can find is from the original Dragon Boxes. This new remaster looks terrible, fitting a whole special into 30 minutes and only on a game seems to be thrown way out of proportion.
I think that DragonBall2118 has a good point. I don't think the Animation in the "Original" is "crap." They're two separate things. However, I think that this new Animation is a cheap gimmick. If you think a lot of Dragon Ball Z is "crap" Animation, why do you watch it? If It was an 8 y/o drawing it, you'd probably not go near it!

Everybody has there own opinion and don't understand people that hated Kai because the art style is not original. Kai didn't 100% re-drew the show. It's just the OP, Eyecathes, and the ED that has been re-drew. The episode still using their art from the old Z.

@rocketpedrono20 Vegeta never reached Super Saiyajin 3. This game is not official, it's not made by Akira Toriyama, it's just a cash crop to bring people in because of the new "form." As a "fanboy" I won't buy it.. However, I'm not saying that you can't buy it, and buying it still makes you a "fanboy," so don't get me wrong here. But from experience, I know this is a giant cash crop, my opinion on the matter.. Don't buy it.
This looks awful, I'm glad I own the "ORIGINAL" film of this on the Japanese Dragon Boxes. This is nothing like the "ORIGINAL" T.V special that was seen, they took the film and basically cut it into a 30 minute, re-drew everything, and to honest .. It looks horrible. I'm saying this as a rant, because you're missing the true "Original" story that happened in the actual animation, not this re-drawn crap. Their hair isn't even "Original" like the regular animation. Fans are truly missing out.
