I think this is a very simplified statement. Overall the crime rate in Sweden is amongst the lowest in the world. Yes, Sweden is becoming a more multicultural society and this of course can also come with a certain set of issues. For example in Malmö about 40% of the population have a migrational background. But I would consider the city as very safe.
