Great review, I love leather jackets and I've been wanting to get my hands on a real Schott Perfecto. It's great to see someone with my height and build make a video on these pieces.
I was gonna suggest Lewis Leathers, but I see from the comments you already know of them. I have a 618 Schott, which is very form fitting for a size 42, and a 118 which is a little roomier because of the different cut, and it is also a size 42. I'll have to agree with you on the quality of Perfectos: very expensive, but well worth it.
I agree. Schott makes quality leather jackets. I own 2 613 perfectos. However, your sleeves are way too long brotha. You should get the sleeves altered. You should've tried it on at the store then bought it online. On the website you can give them preferred measurements before purchase. Costs $100 or so more but totally worth every penny for a custom fit. I got both of mine shorten 2 inches. Makes the bunching on the sleeves disappear. World of a difference

I don't like how there is not a visible grain. The leather used for this jacket is too smooth for my tastes. I like a visible grain and the texture. Looks more natural. I have some beautiful jackets in this style for a fraction of the price of Schott jackets and they have patina'd beautifully over the years/decades and would last generations with care. I think with brands like Schott, you do pay a premium simply for the name. There are comparable quality garments out there for a fraction of the price. Just takes some shopping around and trying on to find them.

@@NesPhan agreed. The biker jacket length should be no longer than your belt. When riding a motorcycle you do not want that jacket pushed up around your neck it should fit the same standing as it does when your sitting.

It's a pain to buy schott jacket in Australia. Took me a while to decide. Schott company has a great costumer service, as in excellent!!! I am 5'3, weight 76 kilos and was advised to get small size slim fit for 519. I paid $1347.00 AUD total of $900 USD that's with the shipping to Australia. Then paid another $280 AUD for custom to release my item in Australia. As soon as I got the Jacket 519 S slim fit.. it looks Georgeous!!! But tight on my shoulder also I was unable to zip it. If i was to send it back it's gonna cost me lots again, meaning ill pay shipping then when they ship the right size i have to shoulder the cost. I gave up! I really with Schott would have branch in AU Lol.
The Schott 118 is perfect on you...like it was made for you ! And your knowledge of its history is great. Some of the designer’s versions are more expensive and not as well made, especially if they are sweatshop made...stick with the original Made in the USA Schott Perfecto...it’s classic NYC !!! 🤜🏼🤛🏼

There are so many brands that made extremely extremely high quality items with very reasonable pricing. much better than all the "Fashion" brand owned by Private equity firms to maximize profit like LVMH, richemont etc.

If you ride a motorcycle, the longer sleeves would automatically make this a perfect fit! If wearing for fashion/casual, the long sleeves are okay.

The 25'' sleeves are too long on you. Their leather is also chrome tanned, not vegetable tanned which is way better. But if you like it, that's great.
