I was a member but not longer, it's all about making money and paying very large salaries. It used to be for the people who use it but now they go out of their road to inconvenience you. I stopped by one on my way driving south showed my membership card and asked if I could draw some fresh water, no you need to book in advance if you want to do that and you would be charged for an overnight stop. How stupid are these people. The small independent sites are more friendly and cheaper with good facilities.
I am a member but I will think carefully before renewing. I have found that I don’t book cacc sites because the app isn’t as easy as others: - you can’t search for availability filtered by date - many of the CS sites need you to call to confirm prices and availability Compare this to many other apps (PitchUp, S4S, CAMC, etc) and there’s no contest. We can easily choose a site and book it online using these other apps; often the passenger does this when we’re driving. It’s a pity the cacc app doesn’t have this.
Was a member but didn't renew this time. The membership is exceptionally bad value for money. The sites are monochrome templated council estates for unadventurous people, and the offers are poor value. I found last year that I saved a lot of money by not using club sites, offers, and insurance. Most importantly, there are far better sites in far better locations all over the country for much lower prices.
I live on Isle of Wight so the annual fee suits us as we save 50% on ferry costs for our motor home. But we don’t always use CACC sites as some of the privately owned ones are good!
So. The question asked is, “Is club membership worth it?” Tell me where in that video was that question answered!? “Value for money” was mentioned several times. Comparisons made with the cost of staying in a hotel was made. The fact of the matter is that most independent sites are about the same price if not cheaper than any CCC site and are just as well located for local attractions! The difference being that they don’t ask you to pay a membership fee! Yes there’s discounts with other organisations, but whatever is discounted can be bought for the same price if not cheaper elsewhere. If you ask the question then you need to answer it objectively.

After being a member of both clubs for years I have to say they are becoming to much money oriented.

The video is clearly marked as a “Paid Promotion” … wonder what they will conclude 🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Its hardly an objective analysis and doesn’t take long to realise
