Happy for Giovinazzi, seeing him being dropped from F1 to winning Le Mans is just amazing
@@JzelMoniK
Giovinazzi wasn't the only driver in this race. However Giovinazzi in formula one is a sheep. This means that the 499 p is a monsters' car. Me too i could win with a car like this.
@@FrancescoOrano-dv1kx by saying that you spit in the face of all the teams that competed as well as their drivers, because you play down the work they all put in to this race. If you can't just tell by watching what they go through to finish a race like this then let me tell you it is one of the hardest sports on the planet
Can I just say thank you to Eurosport for the excellent service bringing us this event , from the commentary team to the camera guys and all your team you have done an incredible job so thank you so much .. from race fans all across the world
f'''' k eurosport....... copiright... nothink on youtube cause of that....... when it s 24h of nurburing, free live on youtube, free live on the 8 first cars and pit stop for 24h
Which service the paid so I found Eurosport this time was the most ridiculous thing that was broadcast because it has nothing to do with Le Mans live broadcast but the important moments only for money and in between every 10 minutes advertising well service sees definitely different
I'm sick of being yelled at by commentary idiots.
Nobody told me this was on.
Car racing is a dead sport in Australia.
Watching young idiots in other countries gets really boring, really fast.
We don't accept drivers cutting corners.
That's childish behaviour.
If you find yourself cutting corners, do the right thing.
Stay off the track until all the competition has passed you, then enter the race at the last place.
Your car IS good enough to over take every car on the race track.
Eurosport are money hungry thugs. This entire event should have been streamed on YT for free for all countries.
I’m actually surprised Cadillac did so good. Nice job representing 🇺🇸
@John Barber Cadillac will win many races when they stop pushing so hard and their car has one of the best-sounding engines
The Caddys were a really smoothly running an well oiled machine. I think they had 0 reliability issues, and 0 driver mistakes for the #2 and #3. That will get you a good result at LeMans, even if the pace was not quite the same as the Toyota and the Ferrari (and at times the Porsche, but Porsche was the opposite, and they had everything else go wrong).
Incredibly happy for Giovinazzi. It didn't quite work out for him in F1 or F-E, but he seems like a lovely bloke & a talented guy - so I am glad he got to celebrate!
One of the best motorsport races ever! And Ferrari designing this MAGNIFICENT 499P in both looks and performance Hypercar... just awesome!

Car makers should compete in this kind of competitions today, dropping Formula 1.
Congrats to Ferrari with the aid of BOP sorry Toyota they didn’t want a non European winning their Centennial year its too obvious..

@@rahmadgerpol Probably something electrical with the starter, they had the exact same problem a few hours earlier, just before the clip where they retake the lead from the #8. Seems like they just needed an off/on cycle to fix it.
There is a new number today - and that number is "51" well done all - brilliant coverage too
Slightly dulled the win for us by the fact toyota were given extra weight
Grande Ferrari, bravissimi tutti. 51 - 50 THE BEST
Come on Eurosport, it was not the 100th Le Mans 24 Hours, but the 91st..... and 100th anniversary race!!!!
so proud of my two favorite teams ferrari and Cadillac and congrates to the garage 56 entry for going the distance
My faves as well. Tifoso from as long as I can remember, and a fan of Cadillac since their ALMS run about 20 years ago, and also owned an XLR for a while. Stoked to see Cadillac back at Le Mans, would love to see them win one eventually and dedicate it to the memory of Briggs Cunningham.
best le mans i've been a part of in the last 11 years (I started at the lmp1 hybrid era). this has made me truly recognize it as the race of all time!!
Forza Ferrari!!!!
This win is so great I can oven overlook Diffey's shouting!
As a big Antonio Giovinazzi fan for years this really is something. Well done Ferrari ❤
Such a great race and a great way to being Le Mans back to the top. All the Hyper cars were competitive and fighting each other. And Ferrari getting pole and the race win first time back, at the 100th running of the iconic race. It is mad to think that Ferrari might not win another race this year and that car will still go down as legendary. Way to being Le Mans back to life.
Honestly I wise I was there.
Legendary! Epic and historical win for Ferrari! Grande Forza Congratulations to the whole team
To win in Formula 1 is to be the best.
Winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans is becoming a legend.
You have all taken part in this mythical race, Mechanics, car manufacturers, drivers, you are LE MANS.
Ferrari also won the 24h of Nürburgring in the GT3 class with their 296 GT3. Ferrari has a good year uns Motorsports 👍😊
@@arftrooper44 they always bounce back in F1. The tricky part is to control the potical game, as F1 is much more than what you see during the race weekends.
Agree with you bro, this is like winning the world cup ⚽️ of endurance is amazing and was perfect for ferrari because porsche toyota didn't do good this time. 🙂🇮🇹👍
Beautiful race..especially @night when La Sarthe becomes a special and magical place for motorsport enthusiasts. Alé Ferrari.
If I could forget that WEC is decided by BoP I would be very happy. Alas, I can't.
ikr? You dont need to be a Toyota faboy to feel short changed, WE WANT TO SEE THE BEST CAR WIN NOT THE CAR WITH THE LEAST HANDICAPS FFS! Toyota basically got punished by the governing body for "being too good" before the race. Organisers can issue BOP(BALANCE OF PERFORMANCE) to handicap the fastest car which was the Toyota to keep racing close and hit them with a ridiculous 37kg ballast to slow them down right before lemans started.
This killed Toyota for a 24h race because as they are already the the heaviest hypercar due of previous BOP every kg is going to have a huge impact on brakes, acceleration reliability etc. tl:dr Ferrari ONLY won because of politics as Toyota was nerfed to the moon
This was not the 100th Le Mans 24 hour. It's been 100 years since the first start but this was only the 91st edition
The balance of power weight penalty is the most unfair n discouraging measure.
Love this Aussie commentator, please have him do everything!

There was no dominance. Toyota had run alone in the class for years. Then, competitors back.
Last pitstop for Ferrari made my hart race 😂. What a result, awesome
It's not the 100th Le Mans 24 Hours. It's 100 years Le Mans 24 Hours.
The participation of the Ferrari Hypercar in the WEC and its victory at the 24h of Le Mans has raised the level of the competition. The championship will still be called Endurance but they will go flat out from start to finish......This championship will become a threat to the popularity of F1.
The director of Toyota’s endurance team has questioned the timing of changes to the Balance of Performance (BoP) system used at Le Mans, which slapped its GR010 with a 37kg weight penalty just nine days before the start of the centenary edition of the race.
3:57 Moment when Hirakawa gave the Ferrari their maiden victory 😂
Crazy thing in the end is that if that crash doesn't happen, the starter problem in the last pitstop would have cost Ferrari the race. Of course Toyota couldn't know that, so they had to tell Hirakawa to push as hard as possible and risk it.
I know, that the hypercars class is the new hyped and fastest class - but there was no information about the other classes for approximately 23hours and 50 minutes. Most time, I did not know, what was going on in the other classes. And the Nascar was seen max 5 minutes.
My wish for the next race: Main focus still on the hypercars - but a little more focus on the other classes. That would be great.
always have been like that tho... and nascar? i mean nice for them to participate but who cares? they "raced" with a car that was far more powerful than GTE AM (Not gt3, are different things) and they didn't have to follow any regulation? so eh
I know many US fans wanted to see the Camaro, but let's be real. It had been accepted as an "oddity", and didn't compete in any class. The only interest was in seeing if it would have lasted all the race.
@@alessandromazzini7026 read again, what I've written. I don't want the main focus on the other classes. But close fights and some impressions belong to a good broadcast.
BTW: The Nascar was a very hyped car with thousands of people who liked the magnificent sound of that car. One or two laps onboard - and half the people would have gotten goosebumps.
I’m not surprised the hypercar is becoming the greatest sportscar class ever assembled.
Yea, they did that safety car procedure so there is "more racing" in other classes and then they neglect other classes most of the time. :(
Its funny to me how the garage 56 Nascar was outrunning the entire GT field and keeping up with some of the LMP2s on the straights before it ran into mechanical issues
They gotta bring that car to more races its too cool to just be left alone after 1 race.
Grazie ragazzi❤
ABSOLUTELY LOVED LEIGH DIFFEY! And Alex Jacques, Alex Brundle and Co too!!
Funny - you failed to notice that in category LMP2 the first place went to the first ever Polish Team (InterEuropol) and WRT #41 with Robert Kubica and sponsored by a Polish Orlen took second.
A memorable edition of the Le Mans 25 hours!! Congratulations to Ferrari for this amazing victory!! Its shameful though that eurosport has treated this event like a side show attraction, starting and finishing the race on eurosport 2, when not everyone has access to that channel.
It's 24 hours, not 25... and don't complain about the broadcasting, in the US it wasn't shown at all.

As a long standing Ferrari racing fan, I believe this race would have had another result in the absence of the las minute BoP weight increase for Toyota of 37 kilos (4% of the car total weight).
LE: Actually Ferrari got a 24 kilos BoP penalty as well. The others much much less, Peugeot none. The info was quite hard to find online.

When watching F1, I underestimated Antonio Giovinnazzi because of his lackluster spot at Alfa Romeo. Never again; that was a podium he helped earn. A world-class act.
It's really easy to think the "lesser" F1 are well, less. However they are part of a select group that got into F1 and are very fast. Yes they might not be at the same level as Max, Lewis, Schumacher, Prost etc are/where but they are briljant drivers.
