One reporter from Spain asked the boyband if a lot of footage of "groupies in the hotel doing bad things" had been deleted from the film, to which Harry replied: "This is a family press conference, by the way."

Does it physically pull apart both of them? Let's get this straight (pun not intended). Harry is famously known as the one member of One Direction who's affected by public opinion largely, and he 'doesn't care about' Larry. Yet he's never denied it in simple terms like he has dating Nick Grimshaw in the past.
Louis, on the other hand, is supposed to be in a relationship with Eleanor that's strong enough to last three years with all kinds of difficulties and it's just absurd that he denies being engaged to her so quickly ('No, no, no.') but takes ages and beats around the bush all he likes when he's asked about Larry. He also says really confusing things like, 'Frankly, we just started off saying that we're really good friends' instead of 'We're just really good friends' and 'People genuinely, seriously think we're in a relationship' (to which Liam replied, 'You are though, aren't you?') instead of 'We are not in a relationship'. Which straight guy who's so affected by rumors about himself flirts with married men like James Corden on Twitter?
If Modest! knows anything about how to make bank, they should realize that actually even if Larry wasn't real (and I firmly believe it is), Modest would be earning a lot more views and support if they let the reins loose on the Larry interaction and let them sit next to each other, speak to each other, enjoy each other like they used to.
There were far more offensive rumors than Larry - about Harry breaking a marriage, about Louis being on drugs, about Zayn cheating, etc. Why don't they address those instead of going on about Larry (and never even denying it) as if being gay is offensive?

Wow, Louis looks so pissed off when the Brazilian guy talks about Larry. Between 19:35 and 20:20. Harry just quietly smirks but Louis looks like he wants to pummel someone. I'm surprised he only used one swear word in his response. When asked about the obsession of Larry fans, Louis says: "It's best to just ignore s*** like that. And it's easy for us to do, so...." He tries to make light of it but any talk of Larry clearly angers him.
The question wasn't just about Larry, it was about over-obsessed fans hence the other boys' answers about their own documentary that shows fans in general in a better light (when the doc came out fans were really upset bc it made us all look crazy and some of the boys and their families spoke about it). So when he said "It's better to just ignore shit like that. We do.", that was his advice to the fans upset by their portrayal in the Channel 4 doc not about Larry (which wasn't even the focus of the question).

here's my theory for why niall is simon's favorite memeber of 1D: he is annoyed that harry and louis (maybe, definitely, sorry I had to bring thisd up but i am a dedicated larry and even if its false, it sll seems this way) that they are in love with each other and he has to separate them to preserve their image and make them more "available" to the fanbase of obsessive teenage girls. There has been a lot of word that liam has talked about how simon and management did not let him be himself and he was labeled the repsponsible on ewhen all he wanted to do was have fun with the rest of the boys, and when they didnt let him dye his hair, he just full on shaved it off, so trhat must have annoyed simon, and finally, (im really not sure about thids one) but zayn has often expressed his dissatisfaction with 1D and management so simon was probably already dealing with zayn just wanting to be himself while he was still in the band.
