Thank you for your review! Planning a trip around the USA to visit national parks. After going on your trip anything you wish was different? Went with the larger OVS Nomadic that spans all the way to the front fender? Passenger over the drivers side? Noticed you had your fridge in the passenger driver side, as I do as well. Can’t decide for my long bed pickup truck (doesn’t have a swing out). Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again.

The primary reason I got the drivers side version is is my tent unfolds to the passenger side, so the awning can only work on the drivers side. I cook from the back of the truck and my tent has an annex, so the fridge in its location was the most convenient option.

What kind of Chevrolet Silverado do you have ? Is it a 6.6 2500HD Gas or diesel?

At the time it was a 6.0 gas. I no longer have that truck.

How does it work when you have your tent open on top and the awning open. Is there any interference? Any pics or videos showing that all setup at camp?

I do have some pics but no specific video. So the short answer no there’s no interference. However, the L brackets can be mounted up/or down. And the brackets have an upper and lower set of holes. Currently mine is mounted up, and on the upper set of holes. The brass rods for the rain fly on the tent on the drivers side do touch the top of the 270 backing cover (not the 270 itself), but not bad, or damage causing. If I dropped the 270 awning to the lower holes (1” difference) they wouldn’t touch at all which I need to do. I’m 6’1 and the truck you saw in the video I no longer have. I had it mounted that way so I could walk upright under the awning. I now have a 1-ton Denali which is much taller so I can now lower the 270 awning a bit to eliminate the minor touching there was. So again, mounted correctly, they work very well together no interference
