    CORRECTION: The body is basswood with an ash top. Not alder. That's what happens when you don't do your homework.
    Also I'm extra mumbly here I was riddled with cold at the time of filming.

    The pick-ups are the Roswell HAF, same as on the Fusion Pro models. They're quite good.

    This guitar sells for 139€ new. Fretwork is not perfect at that price level and I had to file down a fret or two on several Harley Benton I have, then they could be set-up very nicely with action around 1.5 mm at the octave or lower. No need to have it done by a "professional". Roswell pick-ups never need replacing. The unbranded ones on the lower priced models are a different story. Tuners are according to price level. Some of the SC models come with excellent Grovers. Nuts are usually well cut and need no correction or replacing. Plastic is perfectly fine.

      I'm very impressed with the instrument, definitely not shitting on them at all. Tuners are expected at this price point. I bought this second hand so couldn't really "review" it as new.

      @@nonrevnosnibormetalbeerrev6251 you're welcome. The guitar plays well and sounds good the main problem is the tuners.

    nice review mate! can I ask? I would like to order this guitar for home playing only, but I am not sure if the basswood body will give me good palm mutes for my style. what do you think?

    • @DaveViner
      @DaveViner  4 роки тому +1

      I would not be concerned about heavy palm muting, can definitely handle that sort of thing very nicely!

      @@DaveViner thanks mate! I really appreciate for your quick reply. I would like to put an EMGs in it, but I am not sure what will happen. I never had a basswood body and I wanted to have som cheap guitar for home practising. I decided to buy this one.

    Is that the j&d vintage on the wall?

      Nope, Squier Bullet Strat on the left, a Partscaster in the middle (video of that one being built is on the channel if you're interested!) and an LTD Eclipse on the right.
