Hit the nail on the head my friend , I'll be 62 this fall been welding and fabricating for about 35 of these 61 years. I love what I do still to this day and always trying to get better, improve and learn new things and family is number one. We must count our blessings and be thankful everyday. One thing that is important for happiness is to not step out of your calling, for money. I believe we all have something that’s special to us and is what we should be doing with our lives. I’ve spent a long span of my life chasing money outside of welding and never have felt satisfied. Money won’t satisfy you. God, family, and doing high quality work is what makes me happy. When you do good in those areas, the money always seems to take care of itself.
Jake, I really enjoy your words of wisdom and how you love being a part of other's lives. But hearing you say you LOVE money kind of set me back with you a bit. I know your a good hard working man and have been Blessed with your family. One thing I want you to know and like you said,, "money isn't everything".. Loving GOD FIRST and foremost is what is the most important thing that should be in our lives. Being a retired welder myself I had a life of craziness and with drinking, drug use, and chasing MY happiness. I made good money and would work my butt off trying for more. When I was forced retired in 2014 my wife of 38 years died from cancer. My life came to a different point and I was alone without my mate. . I turned to the only place I could think of and that was our Heavenly Father. He came to me after I invited him, and he showed me a NEW life.. a life with GOD at the top of my ladder and then my wife, my children, my other family members, my church friends, and my life long friends. I was single for almost two years and then God blessed me with my amazing Christian wife. We now have this Love of the Lord and an amazing Spiritual connection that I have never had with another human being in my life, till now.. I found myself making the least amount of money I have ever made in my life, but YET I was the happiest I ever was. I pray for the day you won't LOVE money and will just love life and the blessings God gives you. Be Blessed Jake... I know guys will read this and think oh man another born again Christian,, preaching... I proudly admit I AM a Born Again Christian and ministering is how I connect.. .take care bro..
