There's actually a patch for this rom someone made that greatly improves this, both visually and gameplay-wise, including fixing the bizarre movement physics.

My mom used to work there and she would bring home the contest forms and my brother stay up and fill them out all night! Well I won and picked the SNES! She made us wait until Christmas to play it! Best Christmas ever! But this is crazy how they made this work on NES!

I’m 14 and my first gaming console was a Super Nintendo, my aunt handed it down to me since her and my dad used to play the games with each other. I mainly played Super Mario Kart which was fun and sometimes they would play with me too, we would take turns. I remember having to always blow the bottom of the game so it would process through the console. I wish it would still work. 🙂
I'm also 14 (though you may be 15 by now), and my first game consoles were the XBOX 360 and the Wii. I still love both of them, and they're probably my favorite era of gaming.

I understand the annoyance of how Yoshi WAS possible on the nes, which is annoying for me too, but I bet their original idea for Yoshi was impossible. Also I played the Mario World on NES and Yoshi just doesn't work properly.

Super Mario World was a launch title. There are tons of other games that wouldn't run on a NES.
Demakes are actually awesome. Seeing people attempt to recreate games in a style or for hardware that is limiting can show now creative people can get
Problem is this was made by a Chinese bootleg company (Hummer Team; also made Somari) and was sold illegally. Great demake, though.
