I really love that you guys disguise unfinished and/or areas you're not certain of what to put there as construction sites with minimal part usage but still make it look really good.
Have you considered making the lighter gray part of the curve rounded against the darker grey by using another set of the same curved 3D printed parts? I think it would make the lighter grey section of the curve look a lot more polished and less angled!
Lego needs to fix the issue since they were the ones who introduced road plates. Official perfect pieces, because any great City constructions needs a good train ! Unless the unofficial pieces make it better completely. Things looking good 😀
Don’t sweat the differences in the curve vs the ground (street) surface color. In real-world instances they’d also just cut a straight line as it requires less work to excavate and replace the roadway on either side of the track
The light grey is quite realistic for the curved crossing as it could resemble the track being in concrete while the road is ash-felt! It would probably look even better on a tramway where the tracks are completely within concrete! :)
instead of using electrical tape, you can put 2×2 flat round pieces with manhole cover print on them. it would look more natural. or you can put 2×2 jumper plate under it so it wouldn't look odd.
I do wonder how you can get to that other route, I mean, what if instead of going towards the bridge, you need to go the other direction? I'm missing a part of the cross-road, here. So what is actually planned, here? I can see the train using the stop-lights, though, in order to stop the cars & trucks. Clarify this intersection it's working idea, please.
I wouldn’t even attempt to connect the stop bar. Just pull it back a bit. IRL there is no way a stop bar would be that close. And also, add a railroad crossing gate!
Instead of white electrical tape, you can use an X-Acto knife to cut up the excess sticker, from official lego sticker sheets. Great way to reuse your sticker sheets instead of just throwing them away 👍🏻
I Think the train Tracks looks amazing, but I think it would be more realistic with warnings when the roads crosses the train so the minifigs doesn’t get crushed by the train. Love your videos btw👍
Hey AFOL you know Cities Have suburban Trains right?, Like the one in Sydney, that Train Track you are building should be part of your Lego Suburban train line
3d printed lego compatibles like that honestly are the ONLY feasible way to make them. what you have is an incredibly niche product and making a 20k injection mould to sell maybe a 2 to 3 hundred sets of those just isnt economically feasible. this is the best you will get. their models certainly could use a lil teaking to be more snug on the studs but the product overall is great. them being 3d printed isnt a drawback in the slightest.
It always disappoints me that Lego never produces pieces to fix issues like these. It's like their large train tracks are always designed to be placed on top of everything else, and never sunken flush in this way, outside of street crossings but those are always expected to be above ground like a glorified speed bump anyways. It's also always this lack of attention to integration that has always made me feel like the train themes are a bit lacking. I know asking for a solution for each possible road-track offset is a bit much, but Lego could at least provide some official way to integrate tracks like this.

Make a Crossing light

Haha appreciate it!
Starting to look like a real city. The roads look really good.
Thank you!
Love the brick bending technique for the median divider
You brilliantly turned a bend in these tracks on a dual carriageway. Very inspiring to build complex, large intersections. Regards;
Thank you, glad you like it - we love complex intersections, makes the city come to life and feel more realistic

I think the 7938 city passenger train might fit the city really well! Especially because it's more of a light-rail train!
My favourite LEGO train set, brilliant choice!
I have that one! :D
Looks awesome! Might need to try out those trix bricks!

Good point!
If you want the curve pieces to adhere to the bricks better, try using blutack, it's extremely cheap.
the city looks so good!
Have you considered running the train track as a streetcar? Would look amazing across the seafront, could add a station or 2 if you have space!
Don’t sweat the differences in the curve vs the ground (street) surface color. In real-world instances they’d also just cut a straight line as it requires less work to excavate and replace the roadway on either side of the track
Ah good point, will definitely keep this in mind, thanks!
You should add functioning railroad crossings with the 9 volt lights and crossing bars but make it look modern
I love the curve and thank you for showing how to do it!

Im loving so much this serie
Awesome, glad to hear!
It is beautiful
So he doesn't sell the curve in the same color as the road?
you should put a semi truck peterbelt

what cargo train set was that green train?
Love the transitional section between the road and train track area, so clever!!
Thank you very much!
Fantastic work I love the new layout

Many urban cities have one-way streets, and there are a ton near where we live... it's basically a modified t-section
Nice looking city 👌🏼
Could always do vinyl transfers as well
Perfect.

I recently got this and the parts adhered to the pieces just fine, i do live in the eu. So it could be because of the shipping.
Do you know the website were you bought the rail track cover ?
How do you keep everything clean?
hay i was wondering if you can make a train crash? thanks
nice video
Some details look very nice! But for me there are too many streets in this city.

You don’t need throw them away, there probably are people out there that are willing to buy them.
@@sempervelox He means the leftover plain white or clear sticker that surrounds the -actual- stickers.
@@frostedbutts4340 you got it. It was hard to explain haha
Great idea!!
Can you make a cargo plane for the airport
Good 👍

We're working on some crossing arms :)
Nice!
Will there be airport?
Yes :) ua-cam.com/video/SvGSv54CPcg/v-deo.html
This is soooo cool😎👍
Thank you!
@@AFOLTV your wellcome

Yes - we are looking to repurpose our city tram, or design a new one
@@AFOLTV it appears you changed the thumbnail
As always, each new update looks great and better than before. Just wonderful how you are building your city. Keep on bricking it up 👍👍
Wassup BB. Lol
Thanks man, really appreciate it!
Why not spray paint the train curve pieces? Or just paint them for that matter
We need a 15 minute long video about the „LEGO butter knife“…
😂
Goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
If that trix brix curve is the best on the market then they need to fix their 3D printing before somebody else does better

Due to how expensive LEGO costs, I'll assume this all costs 2500$??
Just the curve? Or the city?
@@AFOLTV The whole masterpiece.
More than that 🙃

A little too many roads for my feeling
SPIFFY
Hew this sounds illegal lego construction
