I can’t believe people thought her lord of the rings theme was lame! I literally think that’s the coolest thing ever! I hope she sees this and knows how much we love her theme
I’m not a fan of Lord or the Rings myself cause it’s not my style but if the wedding couple wants that as a theme for their wedding then who am I to object? I’ve seen all kinds of themes for weddings, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Marvel, Fantasy, heck even Camouflage.
My wedding last year was ‘Wed like Elves, Eat like Hobbits, Drink like Dwarves. Got married I the woods on my Grandpas property, and we had the most BEAUTIFUL LOTR music and fairy themed music! It was so fun feeling like a stunning elf that day! ❤ and trust me a LOT of my family didn’t agree with the theme but I didn’t give two fuzzy rat butts! My husband and me were very happy with it 😊
We had a Lord of the Rings wedding too. Our people loved it and tons of the guests dressed up including our vendors even though we didn’t ask them to 😂
THAT is wicked awesome!!! I'm so happy to hear!! Made even more fun by the vendors participating, too!! Heck yes!!! It's WILD to me that the entire family would ever participate like that. It's disgusting, bullying behavior. Shame. On. Them. ALL!!! Anyway, best wishes to you and yours!! I genuinely love this for you. I think we would be friends!!!😂💖🙏💖🫶
We had a LOTR birthday party for my mom 😂😂😂😂 . Everyone came with at the very least. Fantasy style dressings 😂 We had Elves of all kinds Dwarves of all kinds Uh I think we had a random Witcher 😆
That last story enrages me so much. That wasn't "seduction". That wasn't "cheating". That was an attempted SA, and that woman needs to be locked the hell up.
That second story reminds me of the saying, “Tradition is just peer pressure from dead people.” These young people won the day! And their whole lives, by the sound of it.
I was about to stay I love traditions by in reality when my father tried to assign me a partner on my liter 18th birthday. Nothing made me more mad lol. I guess I love traditions as long as everyone can consent. I don’t enjoy the stigma that every middle eastern woman is force to live a life a certain way. Or there’s more than one wife. A lot of stereotypes. While where I’m from. Women basically now have just as much power as American women thanks to trump. Edit: not to be political. Just base on laws they are wanting. Seems to be the same. Even middle eastern I still think when should have choices lol. Just wanna say that because that’s another stereotype that we’re very traditional
@@layladavis02I just moved back to the US from the UAE. You're not wrong. At least in the UAE the law wouldn't let the potential life of a fetus outweigh my own actual life. There is a lot people misunderstand about other cultures, but really it all comes down to the family involved. There are messed up families no matter where you live.
It’s pretty funny, because all things considered, LOTR Elvish wedding and Bridgerton wedding are extremely similar, where themed weddings are concerned. It’s not like it was Beetlejuice vs Bridgerton. 😂
😂😂 I loved your last line “beauty fades but cu*ts are forever!” 😂😂 that cracked me up! It’s so true too! My sister went after every BF and even my husband that I had. She did it with my possessions too. Even one Christmas when we were younger we both got big tape deck players. She whinged, cried and carried on because she thought mine was better than hers. The Department of Child Safety removed her three boys from her care. I ended up raising my nephew and to this day I get accused of stealing them! Yeah right, like I had that power! I’m 57 years old and she still wants what I have which isn’t a lot. 😛
My son had a themed wedding of all the “nerdy” things they liked (Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, D &D and etc). Each table had a different theme. It was this December and they had Christmas trees of different sizes everywhere with just lights on them. It looked really pretty and a mix of fairy garden. During the ceremony they did a hand wrapping similar to the unbreakable vow. It was very representative of both of them and their interests. The decor on all of the tables were in the same color scheme and looked really nice. I wish I could post pictures of it. When my children get married I never insert myself into their plans. I just ask what they want me to wear and do and do it. They are already feeling anxious and I don’t want to make it worse.
@ it really was. The centerpieces were all 3-4” tall pieces of a log. They had the cake and other stuff on them. It was woodsy/fairy garden/themed characters. It’s hard to describe how fun it was lol.
8:34 easy fix. "I need all the beautiful women in white out front to take a group pic" then once they are all out there shut the doors and lock them out 😂😂
Honestly honestly I would’ve just taken a picture, not kicked them out, and then once all of the photos are ready after the wedding mail it out as greeting card.
For my own wedding it was Legend of Zelda/Starwars themed. My husband was Link and I dressed half Zelda, half Padme with a lightsaber bouquet. We had it the day before Halloween so it was a costume wedding. It was soooo much fun and I wouldn't change it for the world. Lucky for me, I had no one who questioned my theme, which is a blessing.🥰
With the elvish ceremony, op said she didn't tell her husband because she knew how he would respond and she didn't want that. He found out at the reception and thankfully followed ops lead to not make a big deal about it. The way she handled that was the chef's kiss! She showed some serious class! They did not get the results they wanted. Lol!
For the last one, I am the daughter of a narcissistic mother. She sees me and my sister as her competition. She is rarely happy for our accomplishments, and when she is, she makes it about her. Example: My sister finally was able to buy a house in her 30s. She moved with my grandparents when she was 13 and moved on her own at 18. Yet, my mom came in and immediately talked about how small it was, what work was needed to make it better, and how overpriced it was. A few weeks later, I heard her say how proud she was that my sister was able to buy her own home thanks to her. This is how people with NPD think. Everything must be about them, or they will make it about them.
I'm so sorry, I have a narcissistic mother as well, and a narcissistic sister. I've gone total NC, these people tried to get me arrested, tried to have my children removed from my care, turned every single member of my family against me. Having narcissistic family members is awful, I hope you're taking care of yourself and have a loving supportive network of people
I have a narcissistic mother as well and she also happens to act like a child who doesn’t know how to do anything without help and if you don’t help her she will guilt trip you and cry or throw a tantrum and insult you and try to ruin your life and do anything to make your life miserable. I went no contact with her for two years and we started talking again during Christmas a couple of years ago but the last couple of months she has been up to her old tricks again and going right back to how she acted before and so I’ve been going low contact with her and I am at my point where I’m ready to just go no contact again the problem is I feel so guilty because she’s my mom and I do love her and I’m all she has left my brother just recently went no contact with her (for the same reasons and her constantly calling him asking him for money or to buy things or to do this do that I need help with this every single day) and my grandma (her mom) is in a memory care facility for dementia doesn’t even know who she is anymore (or who any of us are for that matter) but my grandma also is mostly the reason my mom is the way that she is for coddling her and spoiling her all the way through adulthood. But my grandma was always more of my mother than my own mother was. Anyway, yeah I’m all she has left everyone else has cut her off or isn’t around anymore. And she doesn’t have anyone to help her financially and she is also disabled and 66 years old has a hard time seeing, hearing and walking she in my opinion needs some sort of assisted living or to be in a facility but I honestly don’t know what to do here because I want to go no contact again so badly but I feel obligated to her 😔
My mother as well. She lied about having found out that I didn't qualify for financial aid in order to prevent me from going to the college of my choice (Georgetown). It worked, and I didn't figure it out until years later. The way they lie about things no normal person would think of lying about makes them believe they are smart.
I had a LOTR wood elf themed wedding last year and I have 0 regrets, at least as far as the theme goes lol. I designed my own invites using the LOTR font, got an Elvish crown, silver dress, braided my hair half up like an elf, and walked the aisle to Feast of Starlight. Everything was green/fall forest colors, and the bouquets were native plants and flowers. My mom and aunt made an amazing arch backdrop for the ceremony out of sticks and moss and plants they got from the woods, it looked really cool. We’re all nerds, my husband’s family included, so no one made me feel weird about it fortunately. It’s a 10/10 theme, I’m so sorry for the person who had to go through that 😢
As a massive Lord of the Rings fan, I am both appalled by the behavior of the first OP's MIL and low-key jealous because a Lord of the Rings-themed wedding sounds beautiful and magical.
Charlotte dropping the c bomb! many of us Brits drop that word like punctuation (casual c*nting) BUT I thought it was charlotte's accent "She can't possibly be saying THAT word, she's Canadian!' ...I laughed so hard! Great work Charlotte!
Our wedding Harry Potter wedding theme was like an Easter egg hunt, if you knew the lore you would be super excited, if you didn't it was a beautiful wedding... literally IYKYK 😂
I've decided I want to do an all black wedding because A) we are planning on having it on Hallow's Eve so it'll just look cool asf, B) Black looks great on everyone and C) if anyone wears white they will stick out so badly because not even the bride will be wearing it xD
I had my wedding party in all black, I picked clothes out of their own closets. However, my mother-in-law said she was attending a funeral with everyone in black! It made me even happier knowing it was annoying her! Best wishes for the wedding of your dreams! ❤
When my future SIL got married, was thrilled not to be asked to be a bridesmaid. When she showed me a dress she bought for me and my sister to reflect her culture, I thought of it as an honour that she found a special way to include us. I was bummed that my sister wouldn’t wear the one chosen for her. My thought was, it’s her day and if this makes her happy, I’m in. It was a beautiful wedding
Omg, I have to share a story about a bachelorette party I was part of! The theme was that guests were supposed to wear silver or black, and the bride would obviously wear white. In the group chat, I mentioned that black works great for me since it’s my favorite color. Of course, once I said that, everyone suddenly wanted to wear black too. After some back-and-forth, the bride suggested we mix things up and wear silver as well. She even shared a website where we could order silver dresses. I went ahead and ordered a dress from that website and posted it in the group chat, just like a few of the other girls who shared their outfits. They all commented that they liked it, so I thought everything was fine. But then, two days later, the bride suddenly said, ‘Let’s not order from that site - the dresses look cheap,’ and suggested other websites instead. At that point, I just said I’d stick to my black dress that I already owned. Honestly, it felt unfair since I went out of my way to follow her suggestion and order a silver dress. Then, to make things even more complicated, they decided we all needed matching activewear looks for another day.... Each of us had to pick a different color, and we weren’t supposed to choose a color someone else already claimed. There were just so many requirements! I guess it was all to make the photos look coordinated, but it started feeling a bit over the top with all these outfit demands.
Do you happen to know when (and WHY) these complicated, coordinated ideas started appearing with weddings? I got married in 1997, and knew that some people asked their wedding party to have matching outfits for the ceremony. (I didn't.) And I knew that some people had bachelorette parties. (I didn't.)
@@missnaomi613 Maybe it’s a Western thing. I’m from South East Asia and got married in 2009. We just had color schemes for the bridal party. The ladies’ dresses were custom made according to the design they want. Wedding themes are not really a thing here as far as I know. Recently though, wedding invites state the colors that you could wear to the wedding, but that’s about it. No Harry Potter, LOTR, or anime themed weddings lol we’re very boring
Story 1: definitely talk to your fiancé about things. Their behavior doesn’t reflect the OP, but the fiancé needed to step in and address his own family. Even if he gets overwhelmed, they needed to work through it together.
I find it funny when people call you up and ask you to give up your dream theme wedding so someone else can make their dream come true. It’s amazing that people would actually condone this behavior.
Right! I can't stand people "trying" to control other people's lives! It irks me so bad bc I run my life not you I get to make the decision and I get the last word for our wedding. I'm glad she stuck up for herself and he stuck up for her when he found out.
I hate the ones where you can't even hear the tiktok well or understand the person. Sometimes it's hard to even get what is going on.. I don't mind but I agree..reddit is my favorite.
My in-laws ate our entire wedding cake before my husband and I had any. They also ate all the chocolate cupcakes that were for the wedding. They knew chocolate was my favorite. They left the vanilla cupcakes alone. Then I got called dramatic when I cried about it
Oh hell no, I'd be so furious, chocolate is also my fav. too and I don't really like any other flavors for cakes or cupcakes. I'm so sorry that happened, I hope he stood up for you 💜
The aussie in me didn't even realise you used the c word until I saw a comment saying you'd said it twice 😂😂😂. I am so used to using and hearing this word in everyday conversation that my ears didn't even think twice when they heard it.
So I'm engaged and a nerd, and we would love a lord of the ring themed wedding but the first story is giving me anxiety 😬. Hopefully for now every people we told either found it fun and were excited or were neutral, and we don't have any psychos in our families, futur MIL is very sweet. let's hope it stay's this way !
In my opinion, if no one's wanting to start drama, I think this would be more than easy for guests and everyone to partake and get outfits! You should definitely go ahead, it's your wedding! The guests could get like a normal, somewhat flowy dress or a dress with flowy sleeves that you could get at a normal dress store and be fine for the theme. And if they want to be more on brand, most bridal stores will have something they could put in their hair like a head chain/band or like clips with dangly bits and they could also ask if they have any capes or some larger shawls. Good luck, it sounds like a lot of fun!
If a wedding party has a bunch of SCA/Ren Faire buddies, wouldn't be the most awesome thing ever to imagine? A Monster-in-Law (or other cray-cray relative) who tries to upstage the bride or steal the groom, and the wedding party all draw swords, axes and bows at the interloper? Nobody gets hurt (most people would 💩 themselves or RUN😅) but they held the line. What a lovely little daydream~☺🥰🤣🤣
I’ve never seen lord of the rings but if my best friend/ relative told me this was there wedding theme , I would want to go all out and make her happy for trying to dress the way she intended her guest too, if anyone has a problem with it that’s a red flag and they should be uninvited, it’s your day not theirs !
I had to rewind and turn the closed captions on for the first C-bomb! I wondered if it was left in as an editing error… until I heard the second one! 😂😂 Somehow it sounds both hilarious and ladylike when Charlotte says it!
😂😂😂 lmao the image I got in my head when OP said that he was being chased around by her while topless I just imagine this aging but stereotypical pretty woman with saggy boobs flopping around while she chases the groom around a room and he’s behind a couch while she’s treating to heard him into a corner all while her dress is hanging off of her 😂😂😂😂 poor guy I really wonder how it lead up to that like what happened before she started chasing him around what did she say to him or did she just go in there lock the door and immediately start undressing and chasing him without saying anything? Lmao 🤣
Honestly, it's actually a really disturbing story. She wasn't trying to seduce him, she was attempting to sexually assault him and then locked him in a closet to do so.
I am Australian and as I am sure many of you would be aware, this is a common word here. Finally hearing Char say it without the edit and trying to read her lips was fantastic. It’s just a word. I find other words offensive, ones that are racist etc. These however are four letters perfectly placed that describes that particular type of person exactly. Thank you Charlotte, don’t change gorgeous, 😘😘😘😘.
Maybe it is my age (79), but I still find the word offensive. BUT, years ago I had a short-lived-boyfriend who liked to use that word to make a woman mad and was very confused why I never got mad. I simply told him “I am not a c*** therefore I know you aren’t talking to me”. Totally confused him. AND he stopped using that word .
An Lord of the Rings elf theme would be far prettier than bridgerton. Mother in law just wanted to plan her own wedding. Nope. They should have gotten kicked out...actually it sounds like they were uncomfortable and wanted to leave..😂 The white dresses are the ones that don't have a backbone.. I'm sure it was figured out😂
As an introvert I was social distancing before during and after the pandemic. When others were grumbling about the new way their lives were going I was happily living my life as usual but without the pressure to go out and mingle.
Where John covered the bill for Cara…that’s how my great-grandparents met as well. They met at a soda fountain in the 1920’s and great-grandpa asked the soda jerk (the guy pouring the drinks and making the ice cream sundaes) what drinks “that pretty girl in the yellow dress and her friends were drinking”. It was Coke. So he bought them more Cokes and sent them over. Great/Grandma immediately went over to see him and that was that.
That's so sweet. My grandma was very poor and my grandpa was the son of the only doctor in a large, rural area. He used to bring extra lunch to school to make sure she'd get something to eat even when they were younger. He won her over by taking her to the drug store in town for a Coke when they were older. Your story about the soda jerk made me think of her telling me about that.
On the switched brides story at 13:05, there is actually a bollywood movie called Mubarakan on a similar concept Charlotte. Two identical twin grooms who got engaged (arranged by their parents) to the each others girlfriends, scared to tell their families and eventually switched roles on the day of the wedding :)
@@NasiaKilljoyy1 its the wedding ones for me, I am an old duck now, but I am mortified at the epidemic of entitlement and greed & the fact these brides or in laws don’t seem to feel ashamed of their behaviour at all !!!😂
Cara's mom in the last story reminded me of Blanche from "The Golden Girls". There was an episode where in one scene Blanche comes out in.form fitting red dress with a matching fascinator ( the small hats women wear on the side of their heads @ royal weddings). The difference between Blanche and mommy not so dearest is while Blanche was vain and trying to always to seem in the pursuit of recapturing her youth, she was also accepting of the fact that she was a mature woman of a certain age and did so gracefully with a bit of Southern Belle charm and sass that made her vampiness endearing. Cara's mom on the other hand, needed to take several seats and got exactly what she deserved
I love that my 26 yr old son had to pop out of his room and say that the first bride handled the situation perfectly. He has heard me listening to Charlotte for a long time and has become invested-lol
Right? THat'd be a BEAUTIFUL theme for a wedding! Even the music is perfect! And so much you could do with it! Especially with the Ring Bearer 😉So much better than Bridgerton (which isn't even historically accurate in terms of clothing)
For real, like bridgerton is cool too, and all, not trying to put other themes down, but what can be bad about an elvish themed wedding? That sounds SO AMAZING Also such a great aesthetic
"Beauty fades, but cvnts are forever." - Charlotte Dobre. Will definitely be adding this to my repitore of clever and witty sayings going forward. Love our petty queen! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
First story. OMG Sister and I had the same idea with the super soaker. 😂😂😂😂 I would have warned them before saying this is part of the wedding, so if you don't want to get soaked you can leave
My mil and her sister wanted us to have a pastor officiate at our wedding, they were pretty rabid about it. We were both meh about it but agreed. The joke was on them because the officiate was/is a friend of ours, who was/is an ordained Wiccan pastor who is also gay. The wedding was in our backyard and our son was the ring bearer, which made his sister fume because she wanted her son to do it. That was a whole different drama and she didn't attend. Honestly, her skipping it just made the day better. 😂😂
She might also be trying to spin it that it was his idea, to try and cause a breakup because her daughter doesn't "deserve" him. But still, NO means NO, Karen!
We had a Lord of the Rings theme 😂 Every table was a different race; elves, dwarves etc. We had mead instead of wine, all decor was homemade. Everyone loved it, but then again we are massive nerds (even named our son Olorin which is Gandalf's original name). Have the wedding you want ❤
Re: jealous women - story time! When my Mum was in her 20s she was dating this man. She had a friend, who was also a hairdresser, that my Mum went to regularly. It turns out man was cheating on my Mum WITH HER FRIEND and she didn't know. Friend was super jealous of my Mum because Mum was the GF, and friend with the secret other woman. Anyways, Mum goes to hairdresser friend, as she does, to get her hair done. Friend convinces my Mum (who has beautiful long blonde hair) to get a perm (as was trendy at the time). She then proceeds to leave the perm on WAY to long and destroys my Mum's hair. It was damaged so badly, there are parts that have not grown back properly TO THIS DAY -- she damaged to root of my mother's hair. 💀 Woman then confronted Mum about the man 😑. Obviously Mum broke it off with him AND the friend, but holy crap I cannot imagine the audacity to permanently ruin someone's hair because you're jealous. 🤡 But it worked out for Mum in the long run because she met my father 😊🥰 who was an amazing man, and they were such a loving couple (my father passed in 2015). Mum is such a kind, caring, and gentle woman who takes care of everyone. I absolutely adore her. It hurts me when I learn about stories like this, but despite ppl doing horrific things to her she's never let it damper her generous spirit. 💖
I just efffin love you ! for reelz! You always manage to put a smile on my face and lift my mood whenever I am having a bad day , which is almost everday! lol thank you for being so natural and authentic let alone not being afraid to take the piss at yourelf! that speaks volumes for your confidence! ALL THE SUPPORT FROM MY LITTLE QUEER HEART IN LEBANON!
In the arranged marriage story the OP refers to “bride’s mates”. Whether it’s a typo or autocorrect, I fucking love this and hope it catches on. Bridesmaids implies some sort of servant to the bride and as we’ve seen in these videos a hell of a lot of brides take full advantage.
Lord of the Rings theme wedding is also my dream! I would LOVE that. I want to be friends with the first bride. Sucks she didn't tell the groom beforehand, but I'm happy to see he supported her when he did see what was happening. 😊
If a bride says that her wedding is colour themed for like, green and purple, you don't wear a red dress. If you REALLY can't do the colours, you go for a coordinating neutral colour like sage or peach. Smart and classy and FADE INTO THE BACKGROUND.
18:25 so true Char…my Xbestie was so narcissistic that when she graduated business valedictorian 2yrs early from Catholic HS she became a “dancer” named Vanity. She would flirt/date with multiple guys(even after she was proposed to).She wasn’t even happy enough with what she’d do that she even did this to guys I liked or we’re dating. She showed these colors from a very young age. She was also searching for that compliment/validation of “OMG you’re so beautiful”
My wedding was also Lord of the Rings inspired. My ex-bestie and matron of honor FORGOT the custom jewelry I got for her to wear during the ceremony. She declared that she would just run to WALMART and pick something up. Absolutely NOT! All of my wonderful bridesmaids had their jewelry that I got them, and they looked beautiful!!
I specialize in decor for “theme” weddings. You can style the theme in a way that is beautiful and elegant, without looking like a Halloween party. I am very good at what I do. When you said “Elvish” I immediately got ideas! I think I could also do a Bridgerton theme. I gotta find some brides!
Here doing my assignment, while your video plays in the background, I'm addicted so it takes 2 hrs to do a 30 min assignment. I love your videos. Thank you 😂
I'm planning for a nerdy wedding myself and i swear to the seven, my bestie is primed and ready with a super soaker of the finest arbor red after i introduced her to Charlotte's channel 😂 (exciting if anyone else also enjoys the fandom)
5:33 That's when you tell your fiance / brand new spouse what's up. If the spouse was behind her for the theme, he'll defend her when she's hurt. Since it's his family, you don't want to damage the relationship, perhaps permanently, without giving the spouse a heads up first.
17:09 this story reminded me of a time I went to lunch with some friends. The waiter asked if it would be on one ticket and our oldest friend (82) said “one ticket and that guy over there will pay it” obviously joking as he gestured toward some other patron in the small restaurant. Wouldn’t you know, that guy actually paid it!! He just wanted to see the shocked face of our friend. 😂 I saw it and it was priceless!!
It was my 22nd birthday a group of guys found out and bought me a drink They sat me an a stool and sang "You lost that loving feeling " it is one of most favourite memories and yed I ended going out with one of them , we only lasted a year , but we today are still friends I'm almost 60 .🥰
The way I see the white dresses to weddings is to think what would YOU think if someone did it to to YOUR wedding - if you'd be mad, then you can expect _them_ to be mad also, expect red wine to be thrown all over your dress - if nobody else is willing to do it, I certainly will (even though I don't drink wine) 🤣
Oh my gosh, the LOTR Elvish theme idea is much more beautiful than Bridgerton. All the offense, because it's true, not sorry. But no matter the wedding YOU NEVER WEAR WHITE TO A WEDDING! Exactly, there is no excuse!!
I also find it kind of funny that (even though the show got this wrong) the brides on the show are in white or off white when white only became a popular color 30 or so years later.
I generally don't need a reason to dress up, but a lord of the rings themed wedding! I probably would've had a stroke from excitement. Like the freaking costume options would all require a gown. I'd have love this.
Here is an idea for any bride getting pushback from anyone about the theme of the wedding - Be very enthusiastic about how they have such an awesome idea and if you hadn’t already planned so much of your original theme, you would love having their suggested theme for your wedding… then tell them that their suggested theme would make an awesome rehearsal dinner, and although you don’t have the budget to do 2 themed events, if they wanted to plan & pay for their chosen theme for the rehearsal dinner, you’d love it. That should either shut them up or keep them distracted (squirrel!) while you plan/enjoy your dream wedding. Might not work, or it might just do the trick. 🤷🏼♀️
7:25 YES! The Creami is so worth it for the protein ice cream in itself. Total game change for those that have issues with late night snacking. That protein ice cream is so perfect!
9:41 I think I would’ve secretly sent out somebody to the nearest dollar store or paint store and get a bunch of those like liquid paint and then brought them out and called them up on stage or something lined them all up the white dresses and then tell the rest of the people I had them wear white dresses so that we could all colour them ourselves and it will be a memory from the wedding and then everybody whips paint at them LMAO. Is that too much

Edit: not to be political. Just base on laws they are wanting. Seems to be the same. Even middle eastern I still think when should have choices lol. Just wanna say that because that’s another stereotype that we’re very traditional

There is a lot people misunderstand about other cultures, but really it all comes down to the family involved. There are messed up families no matter where you live.
For people who desperately wanted a Bridgerton theme, you'd think they'd be more conscious of manners and etiquette
Well they got the petty gossiping and backstabbing accurate.
They probably skipped that lesson on the show

Good lord, the theme for the first person’s wedding would be my dream! So sad that horrible people tried to ruin it for her.
Yes very sad
Yes! Finally een elvish outfit. Every girls dream. If I ever get married again....
It’s pretty funny, because all things considered, LOTR Elvish wedding and Bridgerton wedding are extremely similar, where themed weddings are concerned. It’s not like it was Beetlejuice vs Bridgerton. 😂
I think you mean "good Lord of the rings! 😊
I have my Elf ears ready in hope someone does this lol
Yes. This line made me laugh so hard! 😂😂
Sad that some people are never happy with what they have and can't be happy for others. I'm sure you did a great job raising your nephew. ❤
Not my brain casually playing the Benny Hill theme song to the mom chasing the son-in-law around the room 🤣
😂
🤣🤣
Me too!!!!! 😂
I would love to have seen pictures too, it sounds magical ❤
@ it really was. The centerpieces were all 3-4” tall pieces of a log. They had the cake and other stuff on them. It was woodsy/fairy garden/themed characters. It’s hard to describe how fun it was lol.
That sounds like an awesome wedding!!!
That's amazing! My fiance and I are doing the same exact theme in October! ❤

My husband loves Legend of Zelda in every way shape and form that our youngest daughters name is Zelda Hylia.
Your wedding sounds amazing!

It’s a 10/10 theme, I’m so sorry for the person who had to go through that 😢
Gorgeous!
5:11 the type of sister every girl needs. Love the energy.
As a massive Lord of the Rings fan, I am both appalled by the behavior of the first OP's MIL and low-key jealous because a Lord of the Rings-themed wedding sounds beautiful and magical.
Wife and I had imperial march playing for our walk 😆 everyone loved it but we didn't go all in we stopped ourselves lol😂
That was ominous 😂😂😂
Haha I’m not into Star Wars but I let my “flower girl” (a fully grown man), dance down the aisle and sit on people 😂
Husband and I had a lightsaber duel when we were going into the dinner. It was so much fun. And cantina song when we were leaving the wedding venue.
We also did the imperial March March our walk. There were a few other star wars touches too, but it wasn't all out.
So did my daughter and now husband! Everybody laughed when it started playing. Recessional was of course the Star Wars theme. 😅

I've decided I want to do an all black wedding because A) we are planning on having it on Hallow's Eve so it'll just look cool asf, B) Black looks great on everyone and C) if anyone wears white they will stick out so badly because not even the bride will be wearing it xD
I want an invite because this was what I was thinking
My cousin and his wife’s wedding colors were black and blue and his wife wore a black dress. It works 😊
I had my wedding party in all black, I picked clothes out of their own closets. However, my mother-in-law said she was attending a funeral with everyone in black! It made me even happier knowing it was annoying her! Best wishes for the wedding of your dreams! ❤
Gorgeous!! Blessed be! 🤌🏽💋
Sounds fun
Tell me how this story ends!! I need the bride to get her comeuppance!!!😂
@ Everyone stuck to the bride's vision, wore what she wanted, and covered their own costs, but overall, nothing particularly exciting happened…
I've never been to any, but isn't it the point of a bachelor/bachelorette party to be fun?
Charlotte just deadpan dropping the c-bomb. Brilliant.

Congratulations 🎉❤
I would love to attend one. I think it’d be fun! Also, congratulations and do what makes you happy.

Maybe it is my age (79), but I still find the word offensive. BUT, years ago I had a short-lived-boyfriend who liked to use that word to make a woman mad and was very confused why I never got mad.

It was her wedding dress. It was a FU to her mother in law who hated her.
I love that my 26 yr old son had to pop out of his room and say that the first bride handled the situation perfectly. He has heard me listening to Charlotte for a long time and has become invested-lol

If a bride says that her wedding is colour themed for like, green and purple, you don't wear a red dress. If you REALLY can't do the colours, you go for a coordinating neutral colour like sage or peach. Smart and classy and FADE INTO THE BACKGROUND.
6:39 Charlotte you are now an honorary Australian for the see you next Thursday bomb 😂
I am going through it today and can't stop crying but this helped a lot. Thanks for being a real one, Charlotte.
Sending you virtual hugs🤍🫂
Hope your day gets better
Here's a hug❤
Hugs xx
I specialize in decor for “theme” weddings. You can style the theme in a way that is beautiful and elegant, without looking like a Halloween party. I am very good at what I do. When you said “Elvish” I immediately got ideas! I think I could also do a Bridgerton theme. I gotta find some brides!
THE HOBBITT and LOTR ARE EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Girlllllll I'm invested...
I see a fellow connoisseur of the seven kingdoms; i expect you’ll skip the bedding ceremony lol
@@ArtemisMoon12 by the old gods and the new.... We'll probably keep that part to ourselves 🤣
5:33 That's when you tell your fiance / brand new spouse what's up. If the spouse was behind her for the theme, he'll defend her when she's hurt. Since it's his family, you don't want to damage the relationship, perhaps permanently, without giving the spouse a heads up first.
LOTR theme wedding sounds so amazing tho. D: that's elegant as hell
LOTR wedding fun, elegant and whimsical complete with the MIL acting in the role of Gollum. 😂
Tolkien nerd I don't thought Lobeblia Sackville Baggins from the Hobbit
The way I see the white dresses to weddings is to think what would YOU think if someone did it to to YOUR wedding - if you'd be mad, then you can expect _them_ to be mad
also, expect red wine to be thrown all over your dress - if nobody else is willing to do it, I certainly will (even though I don't drink wine) 🤣
I did but I was a bridesmaid ❤
I know like that was wild be so magical
MIL tried to ruin her own son’s wedding because she’s obsessed with a tv show. I wonder if she even considered her son in all of this.
Omg Charlotte! First time I’ve heard a swear word not blocked out and you very clearly said the C word at 6:30 🤭🤭🤭
AHHHHH so WE'RE ALL FREAKING OUT OVER THIS 😭😭😭 My flabbers were gasted to hear that I had to replay! Period lmaoooo 🎉
@ I had to rewind to make sure I wasn’t hearing things!!!! 😅😅😅😅
Lol I watched it and it didn’t even register until I saw people talking about it in the comments, so I appreciate the time stamp on this one 🤣
Is that too much
My Move in the shadows t-shirt has been despatched to Australia!!! So excited!!!🎉
