Everyone knows Jake E Lee and Bob Daisley wrote essentially all of Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin and the Osbourne's f'd them over. They're better gentlemen than I would be, I hope they do get paid.
Maybe Daisley is? It doesn't appear as though Jake is being paid for much, unfortunately.
Get an iron clad contract before doing anything with anyone because people are greedy.
Jake E Lee said he was fucked by the Osbournes on Bark at the Moon, songwriting credits and such. For TUS, he had a contract in place so as to not repeat it. Seems like he got his due; 4 plus million units sold and the tour salary, he probably was set up. And he got a large upfront bonus for Badlands. He never seemed like a dumb guy; just had to learn from the school of hard knocks. Daisley; that man MADE Ozzy's CAREER!! He deserves 1000% of any profits!! For ALL of the work!!
Sharon fkd them over. Just as she is doing to ozzy
@@jiverdude2775100% 👍
Correction. Bob Daisley released his 4th solo album and had ozzy as lead singer. There, fixed it for you
No, Randy Rhoads did not help write those first two albums with those mammoth riffs?
This is would not be Bob Daisley, the argument is it is a band called Blizzard of ozz.
Bob was instrumental, but where is bob if Randy Rhoads is not brought into the equation.
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle Bob worked with Richie Blackmore. You seem to be saying that randy did all the work? Daisley taught him a lot. Just listen to his work with QR. It sucks!
@@elinino5275 No, that is not what I am saying, we know what Bob did with the arrangements and lyrics. I have his book Bob was in a few bands before BOO.
Bob actually did not teach him much, interesting there is a guy who is allegedly friends with Bob who posts on the RR groups, and he says BOb did not have to teach or show Randy anything, he said Randy was very driven the only thing he showed Randy was on the business side.
it does not suck on any level, but you know Randy did not drive the direction of that band right? listen to the solos, there you can hear it, The fact people base anyone on those two albums for a 20 year old kid who was told what to write by the label is comical. To say they suck is ignorant. Many of the riffs on the first BOO album came out of those albums, Randy brought a couple of songs that were virtually completed to Bob including Crazy train, Bob helped him work out bridges.
@@elinino5275Truth
no bs it ain't fixed,we are talking about a helluva lot of money,JAKE IS A GENIUS,and BOB,RIGHT BESIDE HIM,they deserve it all,we live but once,we shine brightly but once, they need oz and his witch to publicly say that JAKE AND BOB carried his life and wife and the band, man it is not just rock n roll, its a fricken business
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have screwed more musicians than a concert stadium full of groupies!!!
Ozzy is an amazing display of the true grace of God he hates God he's never strayed or canceled his contempt and he's always had the best guitarists in the world but his body is still breathing air and every body loves him when he meets God he will be stripped of all and he will not be a prince in hell he will just be forever destroyed but not consumed by the fire
and your probably listening to the songs now , now write a thank you letter to Sharon now
@@jimjohnson2190 No one goes to God but thru Jesus Christ John 14:6.Repent and be born again cause once you die there is no second chance and the forever misery is unimaginable.
Fuck you these people were lucky to ever be in the same room as OZZY ,THEY WOULD BE NOTHING WITH OUT HIM.
More comparable to the amount of girls Gene Simmons was with.
ozzy nominated as a solo artist in the rrhof without Jake and bob is criminal
Best music channel on you tube
Yeah, RRHofF is such an ass kissing organization, it's pathetic. That's why you always hear bands say that it doesn't matter to them, but they want it for the fans. They truly don't care because the criteria is such bullsh*t.
Ozzy nominated as a solo artist alone is criminal. What has he ever done solo wise that has any lasting value? The only reference that exists for him is Black Sabbath hence reuniting in the 90s when his trendy 80s anthems sounded passe
Blizzard Of Ozz and Diary Of A Madman. Stupid fucking question.

If you read the lyrics to the song 'The Ultimate Sin', it's a dis-track aimed at Ozzy written to be sung by Ozzy, next level meta.

The Osbourne family has had a strange dark cloud of bad things happen to them. Now Ozzy is facing a horrible time in retirement after that accident and botched surgery. It makes you wonder if all that bad energy and greed came back to bite them in the ass.
some might say karma has kicked in
Karma
I don't believe in Karma......atleast not in this lifetime...
A lot of one eye imagery throughout the cover art and music videos convinces me that some dark cabal or dark forces watching over them. Probably the ones throwing out all the vow of silence and Eye of Horus imagery in virtually all media these days, outside of what the public create on UA-cam, for example.

That's my personal favorite album of Ozzy's. Those songs were fantastic so Jake and the rest who made the album, should make their own.
they were but they are inferior to the first two albums let's be real

Ultimate Sin is such a great album! It brings me back to summertime when I was 12 and my older brother got the vinyl the day it came out.
As far as Jake and Bob not getting any credit, that’s all Sharon. Ozzy was so messed up there’s no way he’s making any business or marketing decisions?!!
No way, Sharon is a monster!!!
I don’t care, I loved the album when it came out and I love it now! It’s a great record regardless of what Ozzy thinks of it.
it is really good, it has aged semi well
One of the commenters on this video pointed out that the lyrics to The Ultimate Sin are all about the back stabbing that Ozzy did. It's a great album, but I look at it differently now.
@@Davivd2 I have said that for years about the song title, though we know it is about Nuclear War.
But It is amusing how it can be used to describe what Sharon and ozzy have done
Damn straight brother, I still have my original cassette, maybe I'll dig out the old player and see if still works!!! \m/
Ultimate Sin was one of the first CDs I bought!
Great album. Still listen to it a lot
MONSTER record that still holds up very strong here in 2024.
My favourite Ozzy album
The album was FANTASTIC... my senior yr in HS.. wore that cassette out!! Jake severely underrated guitar player.. Ozzy was notoriously hard to work with...
For real. Thats the only album in my Ozzy collection where all songs are on the phone.

@@Weshopwizard That's an easy fix.
Bob Daisley and Randy Rhoads were the perfect compliment to Ozzy's voice and persona.
And Ozzy F'd Randy harder than Sharon did 😒
Jake E Lee is one of my all time guitar idols. His work in Badlands first 2 albums is some of the the greatest blues rock/metal I have ever heard. The entire bands performance and writing on Voodoo Highway, the production...such a great album.
Jake is an A leaguer and awesome...Badlands underappreciated
Couldn’t agree more with everything you said!
Until he is too drunk to stay on stage...Chicago,86',Pavilion.3 songs played, then splat...loser.
I spoke to George Lynch approx ten years ago. One of the very few questions I asked him was his involvement with ozzy and his band. George was VERY interested in joining his band, but was being lowballed when it came to money. George said the Ozzy camp has ALWAYS treated the "hired help" like shit... including Randy Rhoads. Ozzy has enjoyed the spoils, the help never has. All the while, the "help" were doing almost all the work.
Randy was treated differently because he had a long term deal and Sharon knew she had to keep him so she went to him with a management fee offer, which he allegedly turned down because he did not think he should make more than anyone else in the band next to Ozzy. Would they have screwed over Randy at some point....we can only speculate. but probably is my bet./
Ozzy has had years to do the right thing and give Jake credit for BATM which is the only think Jake has ever asked for,, not even payment
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle I understood Randy's tenure in Ozzys band was coming to an end after the Diary of a Madman tour... Randy wasn't too keen on the idea of recording a live two-album of strictly old Black Sabbath songs. Randy could have ended up like Vito Bratta, he could have disappeared from the rock scene entirely. It's tough to say. Nonetheless, Randy probably wouldn't have gotten the money he deserved.
Utter garbage
@@stanky9875Negative. Randy was under contract and couldn't leave until he did what became "Speak of the Devil," plus one more studio record and tour. The soonest he could've left would've probably been in mid to late 1983.
I agree. However, Randy was NEVER going to record a Sabbath live album. It was planned as a “Diary” live album. His death in march of ‘82 made that almost impossible. They were on the hook for a live album contractually. The actual “live album” came out in April, 1987. At this point, Ozzy had met his commitment to Jet Records (and Don Arden) for the “Sabbath” live album (Speak of the Devil) with Brad Gillis. And THEN, finally capitalized on Randy’s death with Tribute… and a much better pay day with Sony/CBS.
While an asset to the world of music, Ozzy was a greedy bastard.
blame Mrs Munster for that.
When you head butt a base player right in the face to get rid of him , you pretty much know he is right there with her and has Gained Scumbag status.
I love Ultimate Sin from the opening title track with that bad ass drums and bass and then Jake comes in. The whole album kicks ass finishing up with Shot in the Dark. I still remember cruising in my IROC Z T Tops out Cranking Ultimate sin. Then in 1999 I bought WS6 silver trans am and put in my Ultimate Sin CD and cruised the shoreline cranking it.
I did that too..ours was white
Ozzys kids have wasted more $ at Starbucks than they paid the guitarist that actually made the music. F’n sad. I get the big picture, but hell they could have ave them a piece.
Hired guns... including randy.
I got to see Jake with Ozzy a few times back in the day.. Jake was an awesome guitar player and should have been treated better..
I get the feeling that Jake basically received the Jason Newstead treatment.
I never got to see Ozzy with Jake or Metallica with Cliff. But I got to see Badlands w/Jake and Pantera twice w/ Dime and Vinnie.
@@WilliamClark-uj1uo Same!
@@WilliamClark-uj1uo And you are a very lucky man! I didn't appreciate Dime or Cliff until it was too late to see them live. I did see Jake on the Bark tour (Motley Crue opened, lol). Awesome show, Jake OWNED the stage. Man, those were the days. \m/
Viv Campbell says the same about Dio.....But to be fair, BOTH Jake and Viv became overnight guitar heroes, got Guitar Player Magazine Covers. endorsements and a platform to do there own thing. Life was not totally terrible.
MILLIONS of shredders around the world would have gladly switched places.....Viv continued on and to this day tours stadiums with Def Leppard.....Jake took over a decade off and quit playing completely.....I guess it depends on what you do with your opportunities?
11:10 I love that Metallica made Sharon look like an idiot with her ridiculous "you can't dress like the crowd" mantra; then Metallica comes out and looks more like the crowd than the actual crowd, and STILL brings the house down before Ozzy can even get on stage. Metallica steamrolled everybody they ever opened for, and he was no exception.
except Metallica got schooled on the Ultimate sin tour, I witnessed it first hand, they got booed by old school metalheads, arenas half empty, pelted by hairbrushes..they learned a lot
@ight_The_Rock_Oracle Regionally, you're correct to an extent. Did you happen to see them in the midwest? I heard the flyover states were none-too thrilled for their abrasive look and sound. A friend of mine saw them in OK that tour and said the crowd were pretty pissed 90% of the show but by the end of the gig they won them over and all was well.
Everyone calls out Sharon Osbourne for the way she treated those around at the time, and rightly so, but far too many people give Ozzy a pass for letting his bandmates get ripped off. Fuck him. I love what he did with Sabbath, but he's almost as bad as her for not at the very least retrospectively giving them their due money and credit wise, never mind not saying something at the time.
100% he should not get a free pass, he is a liar, backstabber and a POS. he tried to kill her, he used to hit her.....
I was so happy I got to see that tour!!! I was only 13 but it changed my life! I was in love with Jake back then, he was so Badass and also gorgeous, one of my first metal crushes!!😂 the album was awesome! I listened to every day after school until I memorized the whole thing! And had any of us known that was Cliff's last tour....I have bragging rights to this day!! RIP Cliff!!! We all loved you more than you could ever know!!!!

Horrid opinion but you're entitled to it
Along with Diary imo.
I said that a few years ago and have been a mega Randy fan since the beginning. Maybe its because I am burnt out on the first 3 albums. I had the albums, the cassettes, and recently replaced the CDs and they just dont have the same magic. When I put in the Ultimate Sin CD and that pounding bass and drum start and Jake comes in ya cant help but stomp your foot or do a fist pump.
The first 2 are epic the 2 with Jake are good after that it went to hell

I've lost respect for him over the years
@ 2:00 Ozzy saying it shouldve been called The Oz and Jake album from Jake putting in so much work......yet Sharon screws Jake from getting paid plus extorted him to sign over his royalties.
Thieves
Right , the irony that Ozzy decides to give jake credit after knowingly screwing him over for BATM and Bob Daisley, And if he were going to have it named after the guys who did the most work, his name would not be on it or would be last. Blizzard of ozz, Jake- Bob ....Ozzy.
Of course it was Sharon. Likely it wasn't really only about money but protecting Ozzy from being criticized by the press or devalued by the labels for not writing anything but humming melodies. If they got privy to that too much, they might have not let Sharon and Ozzy put the bands together, and stocked him as just a vocalist and nothing else. Regardless of what strategic excuses they may have secretly had, it was theft. The majority of superstars are successful bullies and thieves. Intimidation rules showbiz. I know, It's a shame because Blizzard changed my taste in heavy music and there wasn't anything that sounded like that out there back then. Very influential stuff!
If you can't separate an artists personality from their work you are not really a music fan. Ginger Baker was a surly prick but I love his drumming. John Bonham was a drunken maniac who was abusive to some people, but he was an incredible drummer . Ritchie Blackmore is difficult to get along with but he's a brilliant guitar player. Aside from my own career not going as far as I had planned I actually took great offense and sadness to the fact that Jake never even came close to the level of success and stardom that he should've had coming to him. Not only is Jake truly one of the most original and awesome guitar players, but he is definitely one of the nicest people one could ever hope to meet !!!
music busines is unfair, why is Taylor Swift playing stadiums and Why is Jake living in vegas struggling...
Jake is very candid, a straight shooter.
Oddly, The Ultimate Sin is my favorite Ozzy album. Since reading all of the recent negativity about the album, I've relistened intently. I don't really hear the "poppy" production as discussed. I still think it's an excellent album. For example, the drums and bass in Never sound really good to me. Jake's guitar is great on this album.
I feel the same. It is my Favorite Ozzy record.
Jake's guitar work on the Ultimate Sin is astonishing! An incredible player.
Ozzy and Sharon are thieves. Ozzy should want to prove to everyone that he "wrote" the music. Pick up a guitar. Pick up a bass. Get behind a drum kit. Show us. Prove it. Just like The Rhoads-Daisley Band, and The Jake E Lee -Daisley Band, Ozzy didn't write shit!
yes they are lowlifes.
Blizzard of ozz all legal documents substantiate that
If memory serves, this was Ozzy's most successful record as far as chart position and sales.
Nicely done, brought back a lot of memories, Ozzy lauded Jake for the work he put in, and jokingly calling it an Ozzy - Jake album is ironic. He couldn't give Jake writing credit on BATM. And if he were naming it after who put in the most work, wouldn't it be a Bob and Jake album.
That's why band members should have a voice recorder to tape Sharon and Ozzy voice to press charges later. A good lawyer could sue Ozzy. I dont know if there were good voice recorders in the 80s avaible to the public, but making proof of robbery of lyrics would be helpfull
There were, but there's two sides to every story and you can believe the contacts didn't favor the musicians that signed them.
first off. Bob and lee had a lawsuit against the Osbournes in the early 2000s which was viewed as a slam dunk. Steve Machat the Jet records lawyer who ended Blizzard of ozz essentially by signing Ozzy to CBS as a solo artist, found Bob and Lee lawyers who were doing it on contingency basis. They had Don Arden lined up to testify that it was a band and how Sharon and ozzy set up a shell company and were diverting payments to that shell company. Sharon got to her dad and had him perjure himself saying Bob offered him money to lie.....
The rest is history but the Osbourne's empire were teetering on collapse if Don did not lie as Sharon blackmailed him with threats of not seeng his grandkids ever again......
It is truly disgusting then Ozzy and Sharon decided they wanted to make sure Bob and lee got no payments ever and had the first two albums re-recorded
@@solomonsanchez1897 there are 3 and two of them point to the Osbournes as liars.
You know Jake never had a contract? and you know the Osbournes set up a shell company to have payments diverted to them after going behind Bob's and Lee's backs to buy out Ozzy's publishing from Jet and control the masters.

Ozzy was, but no longer is fortunately, his own worst enemy, which Sharon contributed and encoraged. Out of this beautiful mess, a few of the greatest hard rock albums were created and released to us as fans; Daisley, Aldridge, Lee and Kerslake were the collateral damage.
Looking back, Daisley and Lee should have started their own band. Ozzy's entire career is riding the coattails of the first four albums. No one goes to an Ozzy concert to hear "Perry Mason".
Along with Kerslake. I've always wondered who they would have brought in as a singer....

The first Badlands album was a masterpiece.
2:00 Ozzy himself said it's the Ozzy / Jake album! I've never seen this before, thank you!!
that's funny because he never went back and gave Jake credit for BATM and if he wanted to slap the brand on the album based om who worked harder and more, Ozzy's name would be last or not appear at all
Interesting how the album captured the hard rock sound of L.A. & Izzy embraced the style. After being screwed over & kicked out out after the release of Dairy of a Madman, I can't understand why Bob daisley kept going back to Ozzy
He had nothing else going on?
Money
I love The Ultimate Sin from start to finish.
From what I understand, it wasn't really Ozzy who was the one screwing his bandmates over... it was Sharon. Ozzy was a mess & difficult to work with at times, but she was the evil & greedy one.
Sharon learned it all from her father Don Ardon who was Black Sabbath's manager at one point.
That’s bullshit. He’s not the bumbling idiot he portrays himself to be. It’s the classic good cop, bad cop routine. They both laugh and sleep in piles of money. Don’t fool yourself.
without Jake; rhoads, Bob daisley. ozzy wouldn't be anything. he didn't contribute to anything to be on that hall of fame bullshit
The worst part is Sharon acts like he achieved all his solo artist success .. on his own ! And screwing Bob Daisley , while she has lived in countless mansions , and a lifestyle which he helped give her husband's solo career . She would have done the same to Randy also if he had lived . She hasn't given 1 person who was a writer in Ozzy's hits , the pay they deserve . You know because they are not wealthy and she and Ozzy are .
Don't forget Lee Kerslake and his monster drumsticks...on the original working tapes of the album diary of a madman, it's Lee singing and working out the lyrics with Bob Daisley. Great voice!.. Would love to hear those original working recordings that Bob has ..
Ozzy only contributed his vocals, name, act and persona. But the band I'm sure could've done without that 😵💫
Love this, and we will be coming up on the 40th Anniversary in 2026 for The Ultimate Sin. Let’s hope the remix and re-release see’s the light of day. Also, with Ozzy sharing the adventure with Jake. He should start doing it now verses anything else.
What did Ozzy do to justify his nomination for RNRHOF as a solo artist? Has he ever contributed more than vocal melodies and recording? Unlike Billy Joel (for example) Ozzy is nothing without his band members.
It’s a name recognition contest. Jane’s addiction, the dolls, mc5 will never get in while celebrities with reality shows will be voted in every time.
Excellent point - if they induct Ozzy, they should induct Randy, Jake, Zakk, Daisley, Tommy, Rudy and Lee Kerslake as members,
@@jeremygunther9403You're damn right. Lee Kerslake was on his deathbed before he got his platinum records awards for Blizzard and Diary.
More than Vocal melodies????.....That is an incredibly significant thing. Despite several line up changes, (including Bob Daisley) Ozzy has remained Ozzy. With an ear for Vocal melodies, a distinctive voice, and a killer instinct to recognise a killer riff. (some guitarists even struggle with that).....If that skill set was to be taken lightly, it would be Bob Daisley that could have easily left with his supposed superior songwriting ability and found a much better singer than Ozzy....Bob didn't, and he couldn't.
Super album, right up there with the rest. ❤ it.
it's good......
Ozzy/Sharon scuumbaggs
Yup
I find it amusing how many people are ripping the Osbournes...it is good to see
Yep.
The lyrics to Mr Tinkertrain hasn’t aged too well either..
Keep on bringing great information 👍
This is why I've never liked Ozzy and Sharon as people. They had little to nothing to do with the music and they screwed over the people that actually worked on it.
They screwed George Lynch too.
Wasn't Wendy Dio shitty as well?
Jake E Lee is soooo underated and he wrote Bark at the Moon. Fact: Ozzy doesnt write songs, lyrics (ask Geezer Butler), orchestrations, etc.
Im a huuuge Ozzy fan. But here's someone else again telling Ozzy "Dont do that, dont give credit, it will cost us money"
unless Ozzy invented AI , Bark at the moon is a scam ...
Ozzy could have said no we need to do the right thing
Thank you for this brother.
Definitely a GREAT album!
sounds to me like everyone else around Ozzy is what kept him afloat. did he even write any lyrics at all. I just cant see Ozzy with a notebook writing lyrics down. It was def. Sharon who kept this man going and all the professional musicians he was lucky to of had doing things for him. makes me wonder how many songs Ozzy wrote by himself. I bet none. not a single one.
Ozzy is a fraud on many levels but he did help with the melodies to those songs
I will Never believe that doped up, drunk Ozzy wrote a damn thing. All hail the Mighty Bob Daisley.
I might be in the minority, but IMO, Ultimate Sin is one of the best! Bark at the Moon a close second. (I'm sorry, but I got introduced to Ozzy a bit late. I was a teen in the 80s. LOL)
those are really good albums but obviously inferior to the Blizzard of ozz albums
I think if Sharon wasnt such a terrible person Jake and Ozzy could have been a good team.
Not very likely. Ozzy and Jake merely tolerated each other at best. They were not friends.
Great video... informative and put well together ! 👍🏻
Thank you, Philip! 👍
This album was absolutely amazing
Way underrated
it is good not underrated
Damn, I hate it when you find out certain musicians didn’t get along, even while recording songs you loved as a kid. I’d sell my soul to relive my life, from around 1984. The Summer of 86 was AWESOME! Just got my driver’s license, and I had made major progress with guitar playing and drums. Great times!
God damn, this is the most conclusive reporting I've heard on this album/time period. Top shelf, as always!
it was well done and he went deep it was like a flashback to reading articles and hearing stuff. I did not know Jake had recorded 12 songs and had them mostly finished.
Did not really recall Bob was critical of the rhythm section on the album, and the production probably had a lot to do with it. Phil is not Bob. and they tried to screw Bob over.
It is pathetic how Ozzy is not going to bat for Bob after he had done.
Thank you for the comment, Lance. It's always great to hear from an old school subscriber!
Ultimate Sin is Ozzys best album and is greatly under rated.
might be his best solo album but clearly not the best albums he sung on, the two Blizzard of ozz albums are obviously superior.
Well that's a flash back to my HS years! Fun days!
Damn I love this channel I was in junior high when ultimate sin dropped I actually liked more of the obscured songs on the album like thank God for the bomb its a ripper🤘
you thank god for the bong.....
Really. I love the production on the ultimate sin album. It has arena rock written all over it. I love it
100% 🤘🤘
I absolutely love this album
Man, I love your voice! Great video !
My favorite Ozzy album 🤘
The mix is still better than Blizzard.
only the mix
I liked the Ultimate Sin a lot
I remember practicing and playing guitar like a fiend back then with my bands. Hoping someday maybe I’d get a shot to play for dio, or ozzy etc.
after hearing from these guitarists about getting screwed I’ve just lost respect for their sorry , greedy singer behinds. 😂
Jake did some ground breaking, never done before stuff on that album. He was composeing beyond what he did before. It had a big, full orchestral sound. He made incredible music trying to make it easy for Ozzy to return to the team, yet flexable for changes directed by his boss. I am glad Jake got Badlands after that. Ozzy didnt really have the energetic, ninja like vocals that are needed more SUITABLE for the talent of Jake.
no he did not. That's absurd. Jake is an awesome player, he did nothing groundbreaking.
Well, Jake didn't get screwed even nearly as bad by Ozz and Sharon as he did by the low-life Ray Gillen, who single-handedly destroyed Jake's career.
@@poulwinther Ray did not destroy his career. yes he cannot earn money from those albums because they cannot reissue them...
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle Oh, you mean like his major band 'Wicked Alliance' which couldn't even complete a deal on an obscure Japanese label? 'Red Dragon Cartel' on Frontiers Records was two decades later. If that's not a destroyed career I don't know what is.
I loved The Ultimate Sin. It was my first record I got with my own money. I was seven and had saved up my allowance to get a Twisted Sister album but, when I saw that album cover. I was hooked
JAKE E. LEE imo was Ozzys best guitarist. That's just my opinion. RR is obviously a legend and a beast of a player but his tone was so thin mid "rangey"
then you're wrong Jake would tell you otherwise. jake was not the natural born guitar genius Randy was....
Listen to those bootlegs, he had incredible live tone.
Also Randy got the tone he wanted to map to Ozzy's voice and the vibe. There is a reason he is listed as producer on the two albums, there is a story there people are not aware of. Jake's tone was always thin on the studio albums. He sounds good during the fan participation part of Paranoid, but he did not have a strong tone either.
And there is more to guitar than tone, I know how Ed views it, but Randy was writing compositions, other guys wrote songs.
@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_Oracle its not really about being wrong here. It's just my opinion.
@@michaelmyers7425 no it is being wrong , no one who knows guitar thinks Jake is better than Randy.
have you listened to the Randy Rhoads bootlegs all over youtube?> no one can listen to those walk away and think Randy was better, Jake would tell you Randy was a notch above him with his knowledge in theory an ability to simplify stuff.
He flat out said Randy saved Ozzy's career and he was the perfect guy, no one else could have given Ozzy that kind of credibility.
George Lynch who is big fan of Jake';s has said Randy's two albums are just another dimenstion others guys cannot get to
So in fact you are wrong, you can like Jake better, but no one who has any common sense thinks Jake was Ozzy's best guitarist, do not be that guy
@@Dave_Wight_The_Rock_OracleJake was a flashier and technically better player. Randy was a better composer. Tone wise, Randy sounded better in the studio, but Jake sounded better live. Most of the RR songs sound better with Jake playing them despite the fact he didn’t write them.
@@sackson2025 No he was not technically better, Jake is on video saying how Randy's technical abilities were on a level that actually intimidated Jake. Not sure what people think technical is, but Randy had perfect form when playing, and he could do it all. Jake was sloppier and he even admitted that. Randy was an all time great composer, Ed van halen was not there at Randy's level when he died.
Though, if people hear the Ultimate Sin demos the idea of composer would be applied to Jake, it is too bad of the hack job they did on the production.
No they do not sound better that is nonsense, how many Rhoads live bootlegs have you heard because who saw Randy live say his live tone was unmatched
