Great review! This fragrance utilizes one of my favorite notes of star anise so well. It dances with the ginger and vanilla in a spicy, intoxicating way but never veers into gourmand territory. The result is clean, masculine, assertive yet mysterious. A gem of a perfume that transcends time: classic smelling, but still so wearable in modern times. Nothing in my collection smells like this ♥️
My favorite fragrance! I love it so much, nothing else comes close to it. The vintage formulations are definitely better than the current one but it's still great!
@@jerridpowley2709 Ok. So your bottle is actually from 2016. It has the L'Oreal batch code and the N stands for 2016. I have a bottle from 2006 (batch 6GAA), which I think is the 2nd formulation. By then YSL was owned by Gucci (1999-2007). I own a bottle from 2017 as well so I can compare, and the 2006 version is even more potent than the one you reviewing! If I would live a little closer I'd send you a decant...
i have a 1995, 1997, 2016 and 2023 and they get progressively worse, the earlier ones definitely didn't have a hint of 'pissy' to them, they came with a blackcurrant/aniseed bomb. such an amazing smell. @@tobiasnagel2767

Fantastic scent ❤️ but again reformulated & watered down 👇 such a pity😮 cheers mate 🥂😀
Still decent though.
@@jerridpowley2709 yeah a kind of! But I had the edp & that was amazing 😍
2nd most favorite of mine. My all time favorite is L'Homme Ideal EDP Guerlain.
Both great scents. Thanks for watching.
I Really like opium pour homme edt. I wish i could try edp
Both are fantastic. Happy New Year!!!
is the modern version still the same?
Not really, I have both. The current one is still great, but the vintage is richer, smells more similar to the EDP.
I would say the original has more depth and is more animalic. Both are great.
no, not at all really. the dry down is close, but the Sanofi and Gucci era versions are just amazing.
Thanks for the comment.
Hello, where can i order? The Market is full of Fake
That is the hard part. It is always risky.
