    Hi, This is the first time that I've come across one of your videos, great viewing and very informative. I've watched quite a few other videos from other people and all you see is catching fish. Great looking fishery. The lack of trees and obstructions around the lochs is a real bonus, as you can get a decent cast. Thanks for the video.

      Thanks very much Bob. Its always good to get feedback like that. Chatton is a superb fishery. The perfect balance of scenery, comfortable fishing and choice of spots. It doesn’t get much better. If you like the videos, give us a subscribe. Theres plenty more coming, including one this weekend. Thanks again, Stu.

    If you have a tapered leader say 3 mtrs 9 ft do you take this as part of your measured leader that your mentioning at the beginning. So only a 2 mtr or 6 ft of 7llb fluoro to a point fly. Or do you add the fluoro at 15 ft to end of taper.?

  • @williamgrant6647
    @williamgrant6647 11 місяців тому +1

    Stuart what would you recommend the 9foot 9 rod 8wt or the 10ft 8wt rod as my fishing is 80percent boat fishing 20 percent bank fishing although my bank fishing is probably increased quite a bit this year cheers Willie grant

    • @StuI-kl5xt
      @StuI-kl5xt 11 місяців тому

      Hi Willie,
      Go for the 10ft if you’re doing so much boat fishing as it’ll be better for controlling the droppers on lift off. It’s a cracking bank rod as well.
      The reason I rave on about the 9ft 9in is for sinking line work mainly.
      But the 10ft will do that job too, but 2% worse than the 9ft 9in.
      If you are doing a lot of floating line stuff, the 10ft will edge it as you will pick the line up off the water better on the strike.
      In summary, both rods are brilliant all rounders and neither is a bad choice.
      It definitely sounds like the 10ft would be better for you, especially if its main job is floating lines from boats.
      Hope that’s ok?
      Cheers
      Stu

      @@CadenceFlyFishing I would without a doubt try the following, Ladyatt ( home of the Megas ) just outside dundee, then further north it has to be loch Insch and Lochtar both close to Aberdeen, but to be honest as you travel up there is Kinross, Kinggennie the list goes on. If you heading north and making a video give me a shout as I would love to meet up. Cheers Charlie

      Hi Neil,
      Its a fishpond Switchback Pro. The key point being the bags on a slide rail. Which means you don’t have to pull the whole belt around when you need something. Got sick of waistcoats getting overloaded and pulling around the neck. Not regretted buying this for one second - apart from the few funny looks it got on its first trips 🙂Cheers Stu
