@@alistairdiren5790 nah the concept was around for as long as we’ve existed. Herbivores are seen as the “good” guys or protagonists in a sense because they’re calm plant eaters who don’t eat other animals and carnivores are the often seen in a bad light because they kill to survive and sometimes come into competition with humans because of it. I think with dinosaurs the stereotype got even more exaggerated because meat eating dinosaurs were/are viewed as monstrous fantasy-like creatures.

I remember I was a deino and I draged a 75% stego and drowned it and the funny thing is that he thought he was big enough to not get draged.

I swear, Pesky's hatred for Stegosaurus will grow to the point it will overpower the hatred for Magyarosaurus.
People moan about mix packing but a Carno pair and Utahs converging to take down a big meal makes sense. Take it down together then fight over the scraps.
I agree, IMO stego should not have been added into the game until a larger predator was added as well, like a giga. Because carnos are not meant for fighting full grown stegos, tentontos would make mroe sense

I do my part as a ptera to swoop in, piss off stegos, and then get my bites on them. I grow up fast, and kamakazi annoy them. I think I got one 1/2 hp, and made a giant blood mess all over til the carnos arrived.

I'm guessing because what other people are saying abt you need numbers with stegos, or else you cant do anything else especially when there are now 2 stegos. Carno and utahs(idk abt denios) seem to maybe have to have more than 2 or even 4 players to even take down 1 stego and what pesky said that these aren't even full grown ones.(At least the stego with the mud one isn't idk abt the other one that joined in) I mean animals do work together, but they don't always share the food with each other. When the hunt is done, animals may or may not fight eachother for food(in realistic terms) Also the mud stego that they were hunting for most of the time didn't seem to show really any bleed or even die when they hit it em on the head many times.(Also pesky and his friend was talking abt how the stego withstand 3 Utah pounces)

Players: Why is Stego so strong? It shouldn’t be so strong, Carno should kill it fasterr.
Carno: A mid chain Cretaceous Carnivore, without a powerful skull nor highly equipped for fighting like other well equipped dinosaurs.
Stegos: The apex herbivores of the Jurassic, Fending themselves against even more battle equipped and larger dinosaurs like Allosaurus and Torvosaurus.
Tbh stego is just fine just how it is. The only dinosaurs that should be able to kill it any faster than the stego can kill them, is another Apex, meanwhile lower tier should obviously struggle against it and rely on numbers.
The only mistake was releasing an apex like stego when the game has no Apex land carnivores so far.
Carno should had been realeased with a mid tier ceratopsian like Diabloceratops or Pachyrhinosaurus.
Ceratosaurus and Dilophosaurus with Camptosaurus and magy.
While Stego should had been released later with Allosaurus and maybe a larger sauropod like Diplodocus🦕 so that when the Cretaceous apexes start appearing it’s not just the triceratops and stegosaurus on the menu (bout the only dinosaurs a rex/giga could catch up to) but also diplodocus.
I still feel like ramming a stego in the head as a cArNo should break its neck
In reality if 2 or 3 carnos went at a stego they'd kill it. A few bites on the body/neck area and it'd bleed out. Their jaws were more than powerful enough to get through the flesh as they run by and realistically they'd never survive 10 bites. By all means the stego is more than capable of killing 1 alone or even in groups if they aren't careful. But to pretend carnos shouldn't be capable of killing them if they can avoid getting hit, especially in groups, would be ridiculous.

You can't play as the strong thing because everyone will try and kill you because everyone who plays as the strongest creature are "the bad guys"
Its honestly really annoying when you just mind your own business trotting along and then a group of carnivores come along and kill you for basically no good reason and was 5 hours of your time that you can never get back

Having to work with other species to even take 1 stego down. and 3. Can't even kill it on your own. Stego is really strong and I guess is an apex herbivore. There isn't really a apex carnivore in the game out yet to even out with the stego and stegosaurus are also bodyguards for the other herbivores if they decide to do that. Like yah I was to confused why he was mixpacking, but oh wait! Stegos are hella strong if you don't got numbers!(Also for some reason 1 time I got killed by a stego for just existing as a Petra, nothing to the point of my statement over here, just wanted to add it in)

I have personally exclusively had problems with carnos in this game. Stegos are just bots that eat and drink, they cant kill you but they cant kill you either unless you fight.
On the contrary, Carno can kill you even if you dont fight it. If you are a solo mid or low tier spotted by a carno (except for teno, in which case it would be a group of carnos) then you are literally guaranteed to die unless you successfully hide… Scent system… or you outnumber them. It breaks the major rule of the isle “things that can kill other things cannot catch them” and suffers no penalties for it. Make turning and stam worse.

Once the Stego's main Predators arrived like the Lion of the Jurassic Allosaurus, Tarvosaurus and if possible the Sauraphaganax *Giant Allosaurus*, Stegosaurus will be put in its place as these Theropods did hunt and kill Stegos for food.
Gotta aim for the toes to eat those bodies sometimes, stego knocks the hitbox outta them I guess

It is not as if we wanna solo a stego, but it sure as hell is hard to even do a carno group limit with 5 stegos that can two shot you. Like what is it doing so early in game, why would an apex herbivore be in a game with no apex carnivore, that is just begging to have an abundance of apex herbivores

man... the old Carno 3 call was so much better to me.
Not being able to walk while eating a chunk of meat is the biggest BS. But what else is new, it's The Isle. Also stegos are too fucking strong for the current roster. There's no reason that whole packs of carnos, or utahs or deinos should just be wiped out because "stego tanky".
The other day 2 adult deinos and I for a total of THREE ADULTS got the jump on a stego, got all head bites, and we all continued to surround it. We got double the hits the stego did, most being headshots, and we all died. 24 tons of Deino, 1500 bite force combined, and it wasn't enough. It's absolutely ridiculous that stegos are just invincible gods where even a pack of the biggest Apex in the game can't kill them with multiple headshot alt-bites.
