About support shortage: I think that simply displaying the damage you have increased from each attack of your team when the buffed player attacks the enemy would be more than enough to make support something fun and give the impression of usefulness, kinda of a in-game DPS meter. i. e.: 100k attack hits 120k with your buff, it will show 20k in another color then yellow or white for the support when your ally hits the enemy.
Idk if a bunch of single digit millions cluttering your screen is gonna make people like support tbh. Plus it is still just a percentage of what whoever you play with deals, which can fluctuate massively per party.
that's an horrible idea... you would see nothing in raid, imagine akkan g3 lol, you barely see the boss with some class at the end, now think x4 the amount of numbers, it would be insane 😂
That's when support will stop the raid mid fight and start writing an essay about why some player sucks ass because the support can actually see that he is doing 0 dps
I really hope they release like new support classes and support combat engravings. for sure that will encourage more support in my opinion because they wont be stuck at playing just 3 classes unlike dps who has all the choices of their lives
Perhaps the support shortage might also come from the fact that KR hasnt seen a honing buff in what, over a year? That push to 1620 is insanely expensive with still 0 assistance and NM is pointless. At the same time pushing supports feels like complete ass. I'd imagine it's a mix of all of these issues.
They should add a dps meter for supports that shows brand and buff uptime. It feels so unrewarding to play because you don't actually get to see what your skills are doing. Dps get to see numbers so support should see more percentages of skill usage. And the mvp screen for supports is really bad. If you just have good brand and buff uptime you get radiant. If you suck but you have the strongest dps in 8 man in your party you still get radiant. If you play perfectly but the other party is stronger you don't even show up on the mvp screen. I'm assuming it also feels really bad for dps players when they can't mvp because a support got most stagger or counter and gets main mvp. They should just add a personalized feedback that's just visible to the support that tells them exactly if they contributed a lot of dmg to the raid or not. Also elixirs and transcendence is bad for supports. They can't actually feel anything from it except maybe extra meter gain or mana regen from elixir effect. Would be way more fun if they add something like "if you shield someone during critical damage or if you supported a big damage burts (ignition for example) your identity gain is +10% for the next 10 seconds/buff gets stronger by 5% in the next 20 seconds" something like that that actually makes support want to put effort into their play.

Like DI SH is known to have smoge dps but its one of the easiest classes to pilot so if the meter was allowed, players would actually see oh its doing quite well compared to DB strike that has high theoretical DPS but ain't hitting anywhere near those numbers in actual raids coz its hard 2 land all ur shit on the back consistently etc...
Male warriors get the worst skins ever. 5 anniversaries in and it's still bad. Paladin might be the only exception. Sucks maining zerk and destroyer to have terrible skins. The weapons are decent, but the armor skins are awful.
one of my issues with supports is that there are way too few of em i have 15 SLOTS FIFTEEN and i dont have all dps characters i would have to buy 7 more 22 in total, if someone solely wanted to play support and have all 6 free slots they would have to play that character 2 times a week cause there are only fucking 3 make at least 2 more supps or 3 even cause i know there are people who would have full roster but why have a roster with multiple of the same class thats fucking insane and boring, there are 7 dps characters for 1 support character in the game yet we need 2 for a raid of 8 people
If amazon didnt have their vpn bans i would still love to play LA. As an aus player without our own server they completely killed all interest from us. Fair enough we dont have enough players but they gave us one for new world. Lost Ark regardless of its problems at its core has devs that clearly give a shit. Cant say the same for blizz and d4 😂
