I am a super senior and have seen during my school days poor Carnatic musicians struggling to get a thattu with couple of thenga mudis after a couple of hours or more of reasonably good performances. Their main income was through tuitions.
What a refreshing change to day with so many young talents making Carnatic music for what It is today.
We must be very proud of such wonderful talents.
A wonderful concert. Pure music with bhava..Veenas sound is so good that one does not want stop listening. Thanks to Ramana..Wish all good luck.
@ Natanam Iyer. I believe the credit for what you truthfully describe goes to the adherents of Vaidika Dharmmam in the southern states of India who courageously held on to their cultural treasures during the times when foreigners -- invaders, looters, trader-colonists, etc.-- tried their best to destroy BhaArata-vaRsha's cultural treasures by trying to make us believe that we are inferior to them. Long live those south Indians who are true conservatives when it comes to preserving cultural identity expressed through GAndhaRva VEda and other arts and sciences. Without those conservatives we would have been culturally utterly destitute humans!
