No Aaron Donald is such a lazy take. As if Donald was the reason, after the offense got healthy, the Rams won 7 of their last 8, only loss was OT vs. Ravens while averaging 28 points a game during that stretch. The Rams made the playoffs in spite of their 19th ranked defense. They improved the secondary, the Oline, the RB room and have 2 standout 2nd year players in Young and Turner, Verse and Fiske on the front 7 to collectively spell the loss of Donald. Not saying they can't pick Detroit to win but no Aaron Donald is just lazy like I said.
With Detroit having gotten better than last year and not losing any key players, it is tough that the biggest threat on defense for the Rams is gone. It will take a toll on them because teams would spend the whole week trying to just figure out how to stop Donald. This will open up a lot of opportunity for teams to attack that d-line

Now, if you were the Steelers for example, a defensive team, and Watt was gone, you could use him as THE factor as to why they will lose. No Donald is just lazy analysis, especially since the Rams improved the secondary which was their biggest weakness and added multiple players to fill his void on the DL

Lions not having Josh Reynolds will be bigger than people realize. Their offense did not get better and relying on Williams who has been inconsisten at best is HUGE risk.
The Lions don't need a better offense, they're already a top 5 offense. Their problem last year was their pass d. They've revamped their whole secondary. Hopefully it's much better this year.
Jamo has definitely gotten more consistent and better, we have Leaf still and IW is pretty decent for a WR4. With Tim Patrick and that other guy joining the team we will have a great X receiver there too. We don’t need a ton of WRs tho with the best RB duo in the league, easily a top 3 soon to be top 2 maybe even #1 TE in LaPorta and the best offensive line in the league. Our weakness was our defense and we upgraded our d-line and our secondary. Offense stayed the same and defense improved
williams is a risk but his upside is pretty legit top 8 WR imo. he’s got real speed and good feet, doesn’t mind some contact but injuries and the suspension are undeniable. i hope he balls out for you guys (if you’re a Lions fan)
