Hello, I have a 2010 Fiat Punto Evo and I followed everything you said - I was able to update my Blue & Me system but it’s still not working. UPDATE: My Blue&Me system still didn’t work after the update. I had to buy an AUX lead, remove my radio and replace the Blue&Me wiring with my AUX adaptor. I had to download white noise onto a USB stick and plug it in the USB port. When the AUX lead is plugged into my phone, it works - you can find loads of videos on UA-cam explaining this process! I hope this helps someone :)
The blue and me system from Fiat is very temperamental and many people are finding as they get older the systems just stop working or a new phone won’t work with the set up, this seems to vary from one car to the other with no specific reasons. My car has a later “blue and me 2” system and is a top spec ex dealer demo car so it got everything including the usb and an aux input, however if you don’t have this I’m not sure it’s something you can add. It however does work for playing music from a phone or MP3 player.
Posting just to show some love to your Punto EVO! I'm also owner of a 2011 Sport one externally almost exactly like yours, metallic blue with black optional rims, only difference is that I ordered it with the Skydome roof, and painted the small roof metal section remaining and the boot spoiler in black to keep all roofline in the same colour. I think I've seen less than 5 other Sport Evos like ours during this years with our same external configuration. I still totally in love today with its blue colour, when it's clean is gorgeous :_)
@@PuntoHowto totally get it, actually mine it's in the paint shop at the moment to repaint the roof parts I mentioned as they were starting to peel off at some points. Also had problems with paint since I bought it, Fiat's paint seems to be made of butter and got a ton of small scratches and dents just with looking at it, seems that their coating is extremely thin. One of my friends have a Bravo with almost the same age and has the same problems with paint on his, seems to be a common issue with the brand.
Is this update for any fiat android radio , i have fiat punto 2012, because i have a radio that looks different then yours, i have 2 wires coming out with USB port
great video, can confirm this works with a grande punto tjet 59 plate. but sadly doesnt seem to be able to use spotify / youtube,myphone maybe to new, but it does allow my phone to work via bliuetooth for calls and text
May depend on your phone and the cars version of blue and me etc etc, also I have no idea If or how Spotify is supposed to work? Amazon music works on my 2011 with blue and me 2 so but if you have blue and me 1 then it might not work?
I tried playing music on Spotify but the stereo doesn’t recognise it. This after updating blue&me to the latest version. Any idea why this happens? Also noticed that if the song is playing on the phone and if I pick up a call and cut it, the song plays on the car stereo for a second and then stops (it shows media player on the display too) . Can you please help me as this is driving me nuts.
Have some updating problems with my Fiat Punto Evo 1.3 2011. I followed all the steps (Car saw the files in Step one). But in Step two I get the message: “CONFIG.FOUT” (Config Error). I tried like 3 UBS (1GB, 4GB, 8GB) the 8GB my car can't see that and the 1GB (that I'm using for step 1, gets the same message). Also the same message on the 4GB version. Is there something else I can do? I hve the problem that when I push the Windows button (for connecting my mobile for the first time) my radio freezes and I have to detach the battery.

@@McAuley2442 I actually found a solution. Change date on your PC to a date in 2020 and as long as you already have flash installed, it will let you access the website. Otherwise you'll have to download flash from a third party which is what I did. Don't download the latest, instead download the version that is still operational

Difficult to answer as by 2017 blue and me was no longer being used in puntos but it’s still possible you have bluetooth, I would have a look in the hand book for the audio system and see what it says about bluetooth. Do you have any buttons on the steering wheel that look like a telephone ?
Just treated myself to one of those phone holders, but it doesn't point high enough for me. Seems Fiat only thought of the 500's 68R port that is flat to the dash, and not on an angle like in the Punto's. Such a shame. Im looking at replacing the entire air vent unit for one with the large storage area instead of the 68R port as its just obsolete, even the TomTom 2 is out dated as an option and incredibly expensive to buy and renew maps when we have free apps like Waze. Hope your Punto is still keeping you happy!
Keep an eye out online ebay and Facebook for sale pages. If the chance comes up to buy a cheap tomtom mount for the 68r port this has more adjustment than the phone holder, however what you can do is take both apart and put the tomtom parts onto the phone holder giving you much more adjustment. I did this and it cost me about £5 from a Facebook ad.

@@levotheconqueror1540 if you've updated to the lastest version of windows they have completely removed Flash from it, but no there is no standard file that anyone can just send you, you need to be able to put a memory stick in the car the website then reads that memory stick to decide what version of the software update you need and that update is taylored to work in your car.
I cant find the Blue & me update for the Gen 1 Fiat Punto evo 2010, the Blue & Me 10.0 update i had found online is only for the cars 2010+ but Gen 2 :(
you can go to the Fiat Forum site and there are some downloads on their for updating the Blue and me system, however if yours is an older Gen 1 car then I don't believe you can update past version 5.5.
Hey sir Imdoing right the last step putting the pen in the car for the final update putting the new updated files in the car it appears a message saying updating after a few moments it disappear but it didn't say update complete do you think its done and Ican remove it r should i wait more?
@@PuntoHowto it did thank you but the main issue that I have and the one i want the most which is use media player (usb cable plug on the phone) and switch songs on the buttons on the steering wheel which I cant with the aux cable :( either it says nothing is connected in usb or it work 1 time it appear the song on the radio but it wasnt giving any sound. xMixer blue and me is very fussy from one car to another I’m very lucky that mine works and connects with my phone, many people find that the a phone which works fine on one blue and me system won’t work on another. Sadly there may be nothing you can do about it
I thought I had done everything right, I plug the USB in the car for the second time but it says update error, check content on usb. Comes up with usb error code 20. Any thoughts or ideas on what could be happening or how to fix? Thanks.
Check some of the other video comments, one subscriber reported having to update to an older version first before being able to update to the newest version.
You should be able to get the older versions from the same website, I’m not 100% on how you do it, but I seem to remember there is a way to select an older version

later model puntos had a veery different set up to the blue and me in my punto you may be able to get a aux input off ebay, it might be worth a gamble for about £10

Have you tried other USB sticks, also have you made sure to do a full format on the stick and make sure it only has update files on it? Then you need to see what the actual error is. I can only provide limited help and suggestions there are so many different cars with blue and me and the system has so many quirks
I just bought a 2015 punto twinair. It doesn't have the whisows logo and nowhere blue and me is mentioned. But there is a option for the ecodrive mode in the menus. And can use my phone and steam music so I'm guessing it's there.. I tried to run the update because sometimes my radio and the steering wheel controle is terribly slow. Literally responds seconds after the input. When I plug in the USB the only message that shows up is no music. Any ideah of this radio is too "new" to update?
I’m not sure your 2015 Punto has anything like the same thing as blue and me. Newer cars don’t have blue and me and your Punto sits in a bit of a grey area between blue and me and the newer Uconnect system, I’m not really sure what to suggest.
I was afraid this is the case. Maybe I could contact fiat not doing off other forums that won't work either. I probaby live with with the slow radio for a while (wich if it works has all the functions) and then get a new one with navigation. Thanks anyway, the punto is a great car
@RubenRC94 how did you get the music to work? I just bought 2015 punto twinair. Since it is 2024, it is a 9 years old car now, so the driving characteristics and a low budget were the most important things, Bluetooth was an afterthought.

İ have a bravo and i cant get my car’s info into usb . I insert it and turn on the ignition and i wait for a time but car never reads usb . And my usb was able to charge my phone . After i tried to update , it started to not charging my phone , what is it that i am missing
I’m not sure I can help much, my advice is to use the smallest usb stick you have and to try again making sure you are using the latest version of the update
I figured it out by actually turning the engine on , i suggest to everyone to try the exact steps explained in the video . But if it doesnt work as it did not for me , try to run the engine and it will start the update . Enjoy your cars everyone
Unfortunately, the update did not work in my 2014 Bravo (I live in Brazil). During the last step (after identifying the version and downloading the specified update - there is no way to download older or newer versions), error 10 is shown and update did not complete.
How many times have you tried to update it. Many people have said to me that it worked after trying it a few times, the main problem here is Fiat not supporting Blue and Me anymore, the site works on Flash and as of this Month even Flash is no longer supported. So there are some problems with the way the site and the updates work which I do not see fiat will fix any time soon.
@@PuntoHowto I tried three times (the last step). Then I restarted the whole process again, and tried the last step two more times. I tried to update past november just because the end of flash support. But I think I still have the files on my computer, and I'll try a few more times. Thanks!

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, you need a USB key that is reading information off your car, to then tell the Blue and Me website exactly what specific files and update your car needs.
I tried going to the Blue&Me site to download the update but given that Flash is no longer supported I can't download the update. Do you have it stored anywhere on a USB drive you could upload or know of anywhere it is?
Sadly it doesn’t work like that, there is a whole process of the website working out the blue and me system you have and the version of the software you have to get the right update, at the moment there are a few ways to get the website to work but they are very complicated, because of the complexity at the moment I’m not going to do a video about it because it can open you up to being hacked

Phone holder is pretty much a fiat dealer only item, a fiat dealer near me used to sell them on eBay but they stopped when covid kicked in. I don’t think fiat make them any more so prices are getting silly now, about £70 last time I looked

It is hit and miss, my car with my iPhone 11 works fine but I know other people with almost identical setup that doesn’t work. If it’s not going to work there is not a lot you can do to fix it
I honestly can’t help, there are many different things you could do or could have done and without knowing all the variables I can’t help. Fiat blue and me is a terrible system at the best of times and even when working as it was designed it can still cause all sorts of glitches and problems

There are lots of different reasons you might get an error, usually it gives you some sort of code (which to be honest doesn’t help) it may be you just need to try again. If however your car has not been updated for a long time, it may be so behind it can’t have the newest software added so you’d need to update it to a half way point
do you think i could exchange the (only) usb-port with an usb-aux-port? i made the update (v10) but i didn‘t get it to work with my phone... how do you start the media player?
Press the media button to cycle though other sources of audio input, chances are if you have a very new phone it won’t work with the old blue and me. I can’t say if buying a cable/socket with the aux input would work
You need to find an older web browser that will still work with flash. Fiat have not updated the blue and me site in years, it’s unlikely they will do so any time soon
First step worked perfectly but when I put in the stick for the second update just nothing happens. Tried from start again and now the first step is not working either. As my phone was able to connect via USB but often lost the connection I start to believe that this isn't due to an outdated software but more due to an broken USB-port...
That’s quite possible, the USB port in my car gets a lot of crud in it, and I can imagine if yours, like mine is right next to the cup holder it’s a prime target for having drinks spilled on it
@@PuntoHowto I can't remember ever havign a drink spileld (in fact I almost NEVER use it to put a dring but to store other stuff like change and sunglasses ;) ) but there was some dirt in there - removed everything but didn't work either. Next day after some driving I retried and it finally updated (I hope it finished, received no 'success-info') but still the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting - probably some lose cable but too much work to get to change it.
lupo1185 you could see if you can get a cheap replacement USB port off ebay see if that helps, depending on the phone some of them do get into a weird cycle of connecting and disconnecting if they draw too much power from the socket, if this is the case then anything you do might not help

It can’t offer anything that blue and me was never designed to do, what it does is to ensure minimal problems with the running of the system, for example a lot of people get problems with their phones not connecting at all
İf your car cant play music through usb connection like mine . Updating blue&me will make your car able to play music through usb connection . I updated mine and now i can connect my phone through usb and play music . But playing music on bluetooth is NOT available even after the update

Could be the port itself which is and expensive replacement, also could be the wires or the blue and me system from comments on the internet it’s not really possible to say what’s going on
Hi, I just bought my 2013 Fiat Punto Easy. it has come to my attention that the blue and me feature doesnt seem to work at all, the windows button on the steering wheel and the phone button show no response either. no sign of blue and me working at all. On the update website im not sure what to put as my model of car as its not a punto evo nor is it a grande punto or abarth. i tried to extract the punto evo files onto a usb stick then into the car with no luck, same with the grande punto files. thanks in advance
There are known problems with the blue and me system going wrong, as it’s not essential to the car people will simply remove the blue and me computer, this maybe your problem. You’ll need to make sure the computer is present, which is above the glove box, if present you’d need to remove it to see if it’s been disconnected
This is a genuine fiat part and can be obtained from your local fiat dealership, however since I got mine a couple of years ago the price has gone up massively especially during the Covid lockdown and here in the uk they are being sold at £70 by dealers !!!!! Which is insane. You may find it cheaper where you are but can’t say for sure. At the moment the people who usually sell them on eBay are shut down and not selling anything sadly
Hi, I have an Alfa Romeo Mito that share the same Blue&Me of the Fiat Punto. I'm having some issues when connecting my iPhone to the USB port. At first everything works fine, I'm able to listen to Spotify and all the information of the song appears on the radio. But after few minutes it's like my iPhone disconnects from the car, and the FM radio turns on even though I didn't touch anything. After several minutes the car shows "Blue&Me Media Player" and my music starts again. I'm wondering if that's a USB physical problem or a software issue. If you have any advice or do you know how to fix this, it would be great! :)
It’s quite possible a software issue, I was having a very similar issue when making phone calls and blue & me would connect and disconnect repeatedly as you describe. Have you done the blue and me update?
@@NicolaArisi have you tried a different USB stick. Don't remove it till you are 100% sure its finished the update and make sure to format the stick every time you put the software back on it.

ALSO, I noticed that when the music goes off the phone stops charging, and then after few seconds it starts again along with the music. Is that maybe a hardware issue? (P.S. I know for sure that the cable I'm using it's ok)
I tried this, but i couldn't even get past the first stage where it reads the initial process from the usb key. Key was formatted as FAT32 and I can confirm the data was readable on the usb key after unzipping. I know the usb port in the car works as it already alllows music playback from iphone via a cable plugged into the car.
What sizes usb stick did you use, obviously the cars are getting older and were never designed to read huge capacity usb drives so I advise trying with the smallest drive you can get away with 1 -2 gb is best if you have one
Sort of... you could get a cheap Bluetooth receiver and put that into the aux port, that way you could get in the car and the phone would hopefully just connect to the Bluetooth
Fiat have taken the Blue and Me website down. There is now no official way to update anything. There are some people trying to hack the old update files that can be obtained from places online but I wouldn't recommend this as if you get it wrong you could brick your Blue and Me module.
Hi Hamza, i'm not sure how to help you. I'm assuming from what you say you have a 2014 punto with blue and me, but I don't understand what you mean buy it doesn't show on the device? are you trying to pair bluetooth with a phone? are you trying to plug something in to play music and its not showing on the car radio. you'll need to give more of a description of the problem and explain what devices you're using, what you've tried.
I’d just retry the update, you might need to follow the process a few times before it works, how did you get the update given that the site no longer works ?

I’m really sorry it’s not something I can help with Please take this up with fiat, if people actually started complaining to fiat they might update the website! There are some web browsers non of which I’d recommend or are safe, you’ll likely end up with a computer full of malware but at least flash still works on them, but as they are not safe to use I can’t recommend them
I have an abarth punto evo and it only lists a v 5.6 update whereas you have a v10 update. My update is so outdated that it hasnt changed anything and i still cannot connect my phone to the level that i can listen to my music. Any advise?
Does it have the blue and me 2 system or the older and original blue and me? Realistically if you can’t get it working it may be far more cost effective to completely replace the radio
PuntoHowto its not that it doesnt work its that on the website used to update it the most recent for my model is 5.6 whereas yours is a 10.0 version i was confused as to why my car which is 2011 hasnt had any further updates or support

Sadly true, There are ways to still access the website but they all leave your computer open to being hacked so i'm not going to be covering them on my channel. Try searching youtube for ways to still use flash websites.

99 times out of 100 it’s because of the battery, the only fix is usually a new battery which is usually fine for use in any other car, it’s just the fiat stop start system is overly sensitive to the battery condition
The reason flash player has stopped working is because of security issues. There are some browsers which will allow flash to work but bare in mind they all have those security problems which could compromise your PC

Sadly if this happens it’s an indication that the blue and me computer has failed, you would either need to get it repaired, replace it with another computer or have it removed from the other electronics in the car to stop the flashing. Refuses what connection? There is a limit on how many Bluetooth devices that can be paired, so you may need to clear out the devices that have previously been paired, in order to add anymore
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have a Fiat 500 from 2007 with the Blue and Me system. I bought it recently (it’s a second hand car). I guess the previous owner never updated the system, therefore the USB plug doesn’t detect my iPhone X. Also, when I want to try to use Bluetooth and connect my phone it’s asking me for a code I can’t seem to find anywhere. Would doing the exact same thing from the video work for my car? Is a 2007 car too old for that? Also I have a MacBook and an iPhone, and I’m ensure the website will work on my MacBook 😅😅 If anyone can send any requests, it would be great!
When connecting Bluetooth you should see a code come up on the dash in the middle of the speedo, put this code into your phone for pairing. You can try updating the Bluetooth, you will still need a windows fat32 formatted usb drive. But I think you can use the website from a Mac, the thing is fiat blue and me is a windows designed system so works best with other Microsoft products.
Thank you for your answer. I was able to do the update with an USB key. Therefore, since the update was done, my car detects my iPhone by Bluetooth but still doesn’t detect it in the USB sector for it to charge... Also I am still unable to listen to my phone music on the car stereo even when connected with Bluetooth. I don’t really understand why. Also when doing the update, the latest version I could get was 5.6... Which is far from being the most recent one. I don’t understand why I can’t do more. 😭 I really would like to be able to plug my phone in the USB sector for it to charge and also to be able to listen to my own music without buying an extra adapter. I really don’t know what to do..😅

I have a 2010 model and I’ve paired my phone to my car but when I call someone they can’t hear me, do you have any idea why? My phone is a iPhone 5c and I’ve scanned the settings looking for a microphone to turn on.
The car has a microphone in the interior light, when paired the microphone in the car is what picks up you speaking. If this microphone is broken then the person you’re calling simply won’t hear you
The microphone is part of the interior light, I have a video changing the interior light which should help, if you waited for me to get a chance to make a video it could be months even years

Exactly, does it give me the ability to play my Android phone audio (Spotify for example)? Cause if not, I don't get any benefit out of the update. I have Fiat Punto Twinair 2015 and I can connect my phone via Bluetooth to make calls and make the assistant read SMS texts, but I cannot play music.
I'm am afraid it never worked like this. You had to prepare the USB stick first by putting some information about the car onto the stick so that the website would know exactly what files to then upload to the memory stick. when you put the stick back in the car, the blue and me system checked that original information to make sure that the car still matched. So If I had the files for my car still they would not work in your car.
You cannot stream music over Bluetooth, to the radio in cars with blue and me, fiat never had the option for audio streaming over Bluetooth only telephone hands free calls

Short answer you can’t, Long answer there are some web browsers that work but non are safe to use, likely would fill your computer with malware and viruses

You can/could only get this phone holder from fiat and it was stupid expensive, I paid £50 for it from my fiat dealer about 4 years back, but now if they ever do appear for sale they’re nearer £70+ which is just too much. Also mine was a custom hybrid of the phone holder and the old Punto satnav holder
Hi @tomical sorry but it’s not as easy as just having a file, the website put a file on the memory stick which would analyse the car and when you connected that back to the website the website would work out what update file your car needed. Look up on UA-cam how to view flash files, I believe one way you can do it from another person commenting on this video is to use an older version of Google chrome on a windows 10 PC, but windows 10 has been updated recently to completely remove flash player so if you’ve updated recently it might be too late
@@PuntoHowto I tried using an emulator but it wouldn’t open the website still. I’m on 5.4 currently. I googled it and I’m sure the 5.5 update alone would work. If you still have it I would hugely hugely appreciate it!! I know it’s not recommended but even Fiat don’t have this file anymore and blue and me don’t operate anymore :( please help
I don’t have any files, as I said before the website works with the car to decide the file you actually need and I believe the file is tailored to work specifically with only your car so even if I had the files for my car it wouldn’t work on yours. As I’ve said to other people try rolling back to an older version of Google chrome and see if you can get the website working that way
Fiat’s blue and me is seemingly so variable from one car to the other even built at the same time, all these years on its impossible to know what the problem is or what to suggest sorry

Weirdly my car did this, you could do the update again, I did and this fixed the problem for me, or work out from the menu what words mean what and manually change it out of Italian, sadly I don’t speak Italian so can’t really help on that front but google translate could help

Hello, I have a 2010 Fiat Punto Evo and I followed everything you said - I was able to update my Blue & Me system but it’s still not working.
UPDATE: My Blue&Me system still didn’t work after the update. I had to buy an AUX lead, remove my radio and replace the Blue&Me wiring with my AUX adaptor. I had to download white noise onto a USB stick and plug it in the USB port. When the AUX lead is plugged into my phone, it works - you can find loads of videos on UA-cam explaining this process! I hope this helps someone :)
The blue and me system from Fiat is very temperamental and many people are finding as they get older the systems just stop working or a new phone won’t work with the set up, this seems to vary from one car to the other with no specific reasons. My car has a later “blue and me 2” system and is a top spec ex dealer demo car so it got everything including the usb and an aux input, however if you don’t have this I’m not sure it’s something you can add. It however does work for playing music from a phone or MP3 player.

I'm also owner of a 2011 Sport one externally almost exactly like yours, metallic blue with black optional rims, only difference is that I ordered it with the Skydome roof, and painted the small roof metal section remaining and the boot spoiler in black to keep all roofline in the same colour. I think I've seen less than 5 other Sport Evos like ours during this years with our same external configuration.
I still totally in love today with its blue colour, when it's clean is gorgeous :_)
You’re probably looks way better than mine. Mine has a lot of problems with the paint especially around the bonnet and front bumper
@@PuntoHowto totally get it, actually mine it's in the paint shop at the moment to repaint the roof parts I mentioned as they were starting to peel off at some points.
Also had problems with paint since I bought it, Fiat's paint seems to be made of butter and got a ton of small scratches and dents just with looking at it, seems that their coating is extremely thin.
One of my friends have a Bravo with almost the same age and has the same problems with paint on his, seems to be a common issue with the brand.
Brilliant video saved me loads of money people on ebay charging upto £95.00 to do just that (shame on you)

great video, can confirm this works with a grande punto tjet 59 plate. but sadly doesnt seem to be able to use spotify / youtube,myphone maybe to new, but it does allow my phone to work via bliuetooth for calls and text
May depend on your phone and the cars version of blue and me etc etc, also I have no idea If or how Spotify is supposed to work?
Amazon music works on my 2011 with blue and me 2 so but if you have blue and me 1 then it might not work?

I tried playing music on Spotify but the stereo doesn’t recognise it. This after updating blue&me to the latest version. Any idea why this happens? Also noticed that if the song is playing on the phone and if I pick up a call and cut it, the song plays on the car stereo for a second and then stops (it shows media player on the display too) . Can you please help me as this is driving me nuts.
Have some updating problems with my Fiat Punto Evo 1.3 2011. I followed all the steps (Car saw the files in Step one). But in Step two I get the message: “CONFIG.FOUT” (Config Error). I tried like 3 UBS (1GB, 4GB, 8GB) the 8GB my car can't see that and the 1GB (that I'm using for step 1, gets the same message). Also the same message on the 4GB version. Is there something else I can do? I hve the problem that when I push the Windows button (for connecting my mobile for the first time) my radio freezes and I have to detach the battery.

@@McAuley2442 I actually found a solution. Change date on your PC to a date in 2020 and as long as you already have flash installed, it will let you access the website. Otherwise you'll have to download flash from a third party which is what I did. Don't download the latest, instead download the version that is still operational
I have punto evo 2011 but dont know how to turn off daylights..i set in the menu daylights to off but it the bulb still remains to work...
If you are correctly turning them off in the software of the car then I cannot suggest how you can fix this.

I got a 2017 Punto and there is no Microsoft logo but do I have Bluetooth?
Difficult to answer as by 2017 blue and me was no longer being used in puntos but it’s still possible you have bluetooth, I would have a look in the hand book for the audio system and see what it says about bluetooth.
Do you have any buttons on the steering wheel that look like a telephone ?

Just treated myself to one of those phone holders, but it doesn't point high enough for me. Seems Fiat only thought of the 500's 68R port that is flat to the dash, and not on an angle like in the Punto's. Such a shame. Im looking at replacing the entire air vent unit for one with the large storage area instead of the 68R port as its just obsolete, even the TomTom 2 is out dated as an option and incredibly expensive to buy and renew maps when we have free apps like Waze. Hope your Punto is still keeping you happy!
Keep an eye out online ebay and Facebook for sale pages. If the chance comes up to buy a cheap tomtom mount for the 68r port this has more adjustment than the phone holder, however what you can do is take both apart and put the tomtom parts onto the phone holder giving you much more adjustment. I did this and it cost me about £5 from a Facebook ad.

you can install a slightly older version of Google chrome and roll it back so that Flash will still work.

@@levotheconqueror1540 if you've updated to the lastest version of windows they have completely removed Flash from it, but no there is no standard file that anyone can just send you, you need to be able to put a memory stick in the car the website then reads that memory stick to decide what version of the software update you need and that update is taylored to work in your car.
I downloaded Mxnitro browser (it has flash built into it) and you can navigate on the blue & me website
I cant find the Blue & me update for the Gen 1 Fiat Punto evo 2010, the Blue & Me 10.0 update i had found online is only for the cars 2010+ but Gen 2 :(
you can go to the Fiat Forum site and there are some downloads on their for updating the Blue and me system, however if yours is an older Gen 1 car then I don't believe you can update past version 5.5.
Hey sir Imdoing right the last step putting the pen in the car for the final update putting the new updated files in the car it appears a message saying updating after a few moments it disappear but it didn't say update complete do you think its done and Ican remove it r should i wait more?
It should be updated, just make sure you got it plenty of time, before you move on
@@PuntoHowto it did thank you but the main issue that I have and the one i want the most which is use media player (usb cable plug on the phone) and switch songs on the buttons on the steering wheel which I cant with the aux cable :( either it says nothing is connected in usb or it work 1 time it appear the song on the radio but it wasnt giving any sound. xMixer blue and me is very fussy from one car to another I’m very lucky that mine works and connects with my phone, many people find that the a phone which works fine on one blue and me system won’t work on another. Sadly there may be nothing you can do about it

I thought I had done everything right, I plug the USB in the car for the second time but it says update error, check content on usb. Comes up with usb error code 20. Any thoughts or ideas on what could be happening or how to fix? Thanks.
Check some of the other video comments, one subscriber reported having to update to an older version first before being able to update to the newest version.

You should be able to get the older versions from the same website, I’m not 100% on how you do it, but I seem to remember there is a way to select an older version
I bought a fiat punto 2017, and my dash does not have any of those usb/aux ports, any ideas what i can do as my fm transmitter does not want to turn on when i put it on the automobile auxiliary power outlet, any recommendations?
later model puntos had a veery different set up to the blue and me in my punto you may be able to get a aux input off ebay, it might be worth a gamble for about £10

Have you tried other USB sticks, also have you made sure to do a full format on the stick and make sure it only has update files on it?
Then you need to see what the actual error is.
I can only provide limited help and suggestions there are so many different cars with blue and me and the system has so many quirks

I just bought a 2015 punto twinair. It doesn't have the whisows logo and nowhere blue and me is mentioned. But there is a option for the ecodrive mode in the menus. And can use my phone and steam music so I'm guessing it's there.. I tried to run the update because sometimes my radio and the steering wheel controle is terribly slow. Literally responds seconds after the input.
When I plug in the USB the only message that shows up is no music. Any ideah of this radio is too "new" to update?
I’m not sure your 2015 Punto has anything like the same thing as blue and me. Newer cars don’t have blue and me and your Punto sits in a bit of a grey area between blue and me and the newer Uconnect system, I’m not really sure what to suggest.
I was afraid this is the case. Maybe I could contact fiat not doing off other forums that won't work either. I probaby live with with the slow radio for a while (wich if it works has all the functions) and then get a new one with navigation. Thanks anyway, the punto is a great car

@RubenRC94 how did you get the music to work? I just bought 2015 punto twinair. Since it is 2024, it is a 9 years old car now, so the driving characteristics and a low budget were the most important things, Bluetooth was an afterthought.

İ have a bravo and i cant get my car’s info into usb . I insert it and turn on the ignition and i wait for a time but car never reads usb . And my usb was able to charge my phone . After i tried to update , it started to not charging my phone , what is it that i am missing
I’m not sure I can help much, my advice is to use the smallest usb stick you have and to try again making sure you are using the latest version of the update
I figured it out by actually turning the engine on , i suggest to everyone to try the exact steps explained in the video . But if it doesnt work as it did not for me , try to run the engine and it will start the update . Enjoy your cars everyone
Unfortunately, the update did not work in my 2014 Bravo (I live in Brazil). During the last step (after identifying the version and downloading the specified update - there is no way to download older or newer versions), error 10 is shown and update did not complete.
How many times have you tried to update it. Many people have said to me that it worked after trying it a few times, the main problem here is Fiat not supporting Blue and Me anymore, the site works on Flash and as of this Month even Flash is no longer supported. So there are some problems with the way the site and the updates work which I do not see fiat will fix any time soon.
@@PuntoHowto I tried three times (the last step). Then I restarted the whole process again, and tried the last step two more times. I tried to update past november just because the end of flash support.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that, you need a USB key that is reading information off your car, to then tell the Blue and Me website exactly what specific files and update your car needs.

I tried going to the Blue&Me site to download the update but given that Flash is no longer supported I can't download the update. Do you have it stored anywhere on a USB drive you could upload or know of anywhere it is?
Sadly it doesn’t work like that, there is a whole process of the website working out the blue and me system you have and the version of the software you have to get the right update, at the moment there are a few ways to get the website to work but they are very complicated, because of the complexity at the moment I’m not going to do a video about it because it can open you up to being hacked

Phone holder is pretty much a fiat dealer only item, a fiat dealer near me used to sell them on eBay but they stopped when covid kicked in. I don’t think fiat make them any more so prices are getting silly now, about £70 last time I looked

It is hit and miss, my car with my iPhone 11 works fine but I know other people with almost identical setup that doesn’t work. If it’s not going to work there is not a lot you can do to fix it

I honestly can’t help, there are many different things you could do or could have done and without knowing all the variables I can’t help. Fiat blue and me is a terrible system at the best of times and even when working as it was designed it can still cause all sorts of glitches and problems

Looking back at this comment and I, confused haha. The wiring to power the radio had failed so it was a relatively lucky fix.

There are lots of different reasons you might get an error, usually it gives you some sort of code (which to be honest doesn’t help) it may be you just need to try again. If however your car has not been updated for a long time, it may be so behind it can’t have the newest software added so you’d need to update it to a half way point

Press the media button to cycle though other sources of audio input, chances are if you have a very new phone it won’t work with the old blue and me. I can’t say if buying a cable/socket with the aux input would work

You need to find an older web browser that will still work with flash. Fiat have not updated the blue and me site in years, it’s unlikely they will do so any time soon

First step worked perfectly but when I put in the stick for the second update just nothing happens.
Tried from start again and now the first step is not working either.
As my phone was able to connect via USB but often lost the connection I start to believe that this isn't due to an outdated software but more due to an broken USB-port...
That’s quite possible, the USB port in my car gets a lot of crud in it, and I can imagine if yours, like mine is right next to the cup holder it’s a prime target for having drinks spilled on it
@@PuntoHowto I can't remember ever havign a drink spileld (in fact I almost NEVER use it to put a dring but to store other stuff like change and sunglasses ;) ) but there was some dirt in there - removed everything but didn't work either. Next day after some driving I retried and it finally updated (I hope it finished, received no 'success-info') but still the phone keeps connecting and disconnecting - probably some lose cable but too much work to get to change it.
lupo1185 you could see if you can get a cheap replacement USB port off ebay see if that helps, depending on the phone some of them do get into a weird cycle of connecting and disconnecting if they draw too much power from the socket, if this is the case then anything you do might not help

@@balt3736 Unfortunately not - I believe the socket is broken or something but to change I would have to remove the complete console so I use CD's...
Does updating the Blue & Me offer any extra benefits, like Bluetooth audio streaming?
It can’t offer anything that blue and me was never designed to do, what it does is to ensure minimal problems with the running of the system, for example a lot of people get problems with their phones not connecting at all
İf your car cant play music through usb connection like mine . Updating blue&me will make your car able to play music through usb connection . I updated mine and now i can connect my phone through usb and play music . But playing music on bluetooth is NOT available even after the update

Hi, I just bought my 2013 Fiat Punto Easy. it has come to my attention that the blue and me feature doesnt seem to work at all, the windows button on the steering wheel and the phone button show no response either. no sign of blue and me working at all. On the update website im not sure what to put as my model of car as its not a punto evo nor is it a grande punto or abarth. i tried to extract the punto evo files onto a usb stick then into the car with no luck, same with the grande punto files. thanks in advance
There are known problems with the blue and me system going wrong, as it’s not essential to the car people will simply remove the blue and me computer, this maybe your problem. You’ll need to make sure the computer is present, which is above the glove box, if present you’d need to remove it to see if it’s been disconnected

This is a genuine fiat part and can be obtained from your local fiat dealership, however since I got mine a couple of years ago the price has gone up massively especially during the Covid lockdown and here in the uk they are being sold at £70 by dealers !!!!! Which is insane. You may find it cheaper where you are but can’t say for sure. At the moment the people who usually sell them on eBay are shut down and not selling anything sadly
Hi, I have an Alfa Romeo Mito that share the same Blue&Me of the Fiat Punto. I'm having some issues when connecting my iPhone to the USB port. At first everything works fine, I'm able to listen to Spotify and all the information of the song appears on the radio. But after few minutes it's like my iPhone disconnects from the car, and the FM radio turns on even though I didn't touch anything. After several minutes the car shows "Blue&Me Media Player" and my music starts again. I'm wondering if that's a USB physical problem or a software issue. If you have any advice or do you know how to fix this, it would be great! :)
It’s quite possible a software issue, I was having a very similar issue when making phone calls and blue & me would connect and disconnect repeatedly as you describe. Have you done the blue and me update?

@@NicolaArisi have you tried a different USB stick. Don't remove it till you are 100% sure its finished the update and make sure to format the stick every time you put the software back on it.

ALSO, I noticed that when the music goes off the phone stops charging, and then after few seconds it starts again along with the music. Is that maybe a hardware issue? (P.S. Nicola Arisi maybe you have a hardware problem, the USB port, wiring or the wire you’re using to connect to the phone ?
I tried this, but i couldn't even get past the first stage where it reads the initial process from the usb key. Key was formatted as FAT32 and I can confirm the data was readable on the usb key after unzipping. I know the usb port in the car works as it already alllows music playback from iphone via a cable plugged into the car.
What sizes usb stick did you use, obviously the cars are getting older and were never designed to read huge capacity usb drives so I advise trying with the smallest drive you can get away with 1 -2 gb is best if you have one
Can music be player via blue&me without using USB cable?
Sort of... you could get a cheap Bluetooth receiver and put that into the aux port, that way you could get in the car and the phone would hopefully just connect to the Bluetooth

Fiat have taken the Blue and Me website down. There is now no official way to update anything. There are some people trying to hack the old update files that can be obtained from places online but I wouldn't recommend this as if you get it wrong you could brick your Blue and Me module.

I'm assuming from what you say you have a 2014 punto with blue and me, but I don't understand what you mean buy it doesn't show on the device? are you trying to pair bluetooth with a phone? are you trying to plug something in to play music and its not showing on the car radio. you'll need to give more of a description of the problem and explain what devices you're using, what you've tried.

I’m really sorry it’s not something I can help with Please take this up with fiat, if people actually started complaining to fiat they might update the website! There are some web browsers non of which I’d recommend or are safe, you’ll likely end up with a computer full of malware but at least flash still works on them, but as they are not safe to use I can’t recommend them

There is no one file, the website would assess your car then would down load the right file to update your car

I have an abarth punto evo and it only lists a v 5.6 update whereas you have a v10 update. My update is so outdated that it hasnt changed anything and i still cannot connect my phone to the level that i can listen to my music. Any advise?
Does it have the blue and me 2 system or the older and original blue and me? Realistically if you can’t get it working it may be far more cost effective to completely replace the radio

Sadly true, There are ways to still access the website but they all leave your computer open to being hacked so i'm not going to be covering them on my channel. Try searching youtube for ways to still use flash websites.

99 times out of 100 it’s because of the battery, the only fix is usually a new battery which is usually fine for use in any other car, it’s just the fiat stop start system is overly sensitive to the battery condition

The reason flash player has stopped working is because of security issues. There are some browsers which will allow flash to work but bare in mind they all have those security problems which could compromise your PC

Sadly if this happens it’s an indication that the blue and me computer has failed, you would either need to get it repaired, replace it with another computer or have it removed from the other electronics in the car to stop the flashing.

Refuses what connection? There is a limit on how many Bluetooth devices that can be paired, so you may need to clear out the devices that have previously been paired, in order to add anymore
Hello! Thank you for the video. I have a Fiat 500 from 2007 with the Blue and Me system. I bought it recently (it’s a second hand car). I guess the previous owner never updated the system, therefore the USB plug doesn’t detect my iPhone X. Also, when I want to try to use Bluetooth and connect my phone it’s asking me for a code I can’t seem to find anywhere. Would doing the exact same thing from the video work for my car? Is a 2007 car too old for that? Also I have a MacBook and an iPhone, and I’m ensure the website will work on my MacBook 😅😅 If anyone can send any requests, it would be great!
When connecting Bluetooth you should see a code come up on the dash in the middle of the speedo, put this code into your phone for pairing. You can try updating the Bluetooth, you will still need a windows fat32 formatted usb drive. But I think you can use the website from a Mac, the thing is fiat blue and me is a windows designed system so works best with other Microsoft products.
Thank you for your answer. I was able to do the update with an USB key. Therefore, since the update was done, my car detects my iPhone by Bluetooth but still doesn’t detect it in the USB sector for it to charge... Also I am still unable to listen to my phone music on the car stereo even when connected with Bluetooth. I don’t really understand why. Also when doing the update, the latest version I could get was 5.6... Which is far from being the most recent one. I don’t understand why I can’t do more. 😭 I really would like to be able to plug my phone in the USB sector for it to charge and also to be able to listen to my own music without buying an extra adapter. I really don’t know what to do..😅

Sadly some work and some don’t, it’s quirk of the blue and me system best you can do is update it and hope for the best

The car has a microphone in the interior light, when paired the microphone in the car is what picks up you speaking. If this microphone is broken then the person you’re calling simply won’t hear you

The microphone is part of the interior light, I have a video changing the interior light which should help, if you waited for me to get a chance to make a video it could be months even years

Not something I can really help with, Blue and Me is hit and miss at the best of times, Two people can have literally the same car with the same system and a phone that works in one won't work in the other. There are ways around one way i've found i'm in the middle of doing a video about but for now your only option is to play about and try different things.

Exactly, does it give me the ability to play my Android phone audio (Spotify for example)? Cause if not, I don't get any benefit out of the update. I have Fiat Punto Twinair 2015 and I can connect my phone via Bluetooth to make calls and make the assistant read SMS texts, but I cannot play music.

I'm am afraid it never worked like this. You had to prepare the USB stick first by putting some information about the car onto the stick so that the website would know exactly what files to then upload to the memory stick. when you put the stick back in the car, the blue and me system checked that original information to make sure that the car still matched. So If I had the files for my car still they would not work in your car.
Does this work with bluetooth or why do you connect with cable?
You cannot stream music over Bluetooth, to the radio in cars with blue and me, fiat never had the option for audio streaming over Bluetooth only telephone hands free calls

You can/could only get this phone holder from fiat and it was stupid expensive, I paid £50 for it from my fiat dealer about 4 years back, but now if they ever do appear for sale they’re nearer £70+ which is just too much. Also mine was a custom hybrid of the phone holder and the old Punto satnav holder

Hi @tomical sorry but it’s not as easy as just having a file, the website put a file on the memory stick which would analyse the car and when you connected that back to the website the website would work out what update file your car needed.
Look up on UA-cam how to view flash files, I believe one way you can do it from another person commenting on this video is to use an older version of Google chrome on a windows 10 PC, but windows 10 has been updated recently to completely remove flash player so if you’ve updated recently it might be too late

I don’t have any files, as I said before the website works with the car to decide the file you actually need and I believe the file is tailored to work specifically with only your car so even if I had the files for my car it wouldn’t work on yours. As I’ve said to other people try rolling back to an older version of Google chrome and see if you can get the website working that way

Weirdly my car did this, you could do the update again, I did and this fixed the problem for me, or work out from the menu what words mean what and manually change it out of Italian, sadly I don’t speak Italian so can’t really help on that front but google translate could help
