I have a 2009 with 265,000. Fully deleted, 5" straight pipe, cold air intake. She drives like a dream with tons of power. Pulls like a beast as well. With that being said, I had to replace the transmission, ac evaporator coil, steering rebuilt, bearings in the drive shaft replaced, and most recently replaced the thermostats and sensor. I consider these repairs pretty standard for a vehicle with 265,000 on it. Plus it has a lot of pulling miles.

The only people that comment on a 6.4 have never owned one and just tired of getting waxed by one, i have 3 6.4s and they cower down when i pull up next to them because they already know they gonna get gapped so hard, work on diesels for a living and the 6.4 is my favorite
Just to clear it up, if you do all the emissions deletes, do early fuel/oil filter changes And run them on a stock tune, these are very reliable trucks. They aren’t the truck for you if you want to crank up your tuner. But a stock 6.4 still rips.

@@d3m0niccity well I would delete the egr and dpf but if you don’t just be sure to change the oil every 18k out of the 500k it will go,,I go through a lot of 6.4 haters ,,they’re just trying to make 6.4s look bad,,get a 2010 6.4 and yeah,,you take care of it it will take great care of you,,,there is no doubt in my mind that it will fail,,,GET THAT 6.4 there amazing 🤩

International Maxx force 7 2007-2015 have 190-220hp if find old IC School Bus and medium duty trucks IC 2007-2015 and can be bulletproof just 6.4 Powerstroke, it be worth looking into.
Next truck fasho, going to get some kill devil diesel parts and make it a tank. Deleting it, straight piping it, new turbskis, Jessel valve train and some new steel delipped and coated pistons, also an external water pump and new high pressure fuel pump to make sure she’s bulletproof. Going to be like 20k but damn do I want a white king ranch 6.4 so bad
I tell you all the biggest problems with 6.4 is exactly what you see in these videos. Treated like truck will last a long time. Traded my 2009 6.4 for 2012 6.7, I had no engine problems, only two alternators and regular maintenance, 330000 when traded. I currently have two powerstrokes 2001 7.3 407000 miles and the 2012 6.7 with 183000 mile. The 6.4 was deleted
People always say the 6.4 is the worst desiel engine,but mine is tune up to 600hp with most stock parts mostly just go fast goodies and I haven't had any issues

Blown head gaskets, junk injectors, junk turbos, weak crankshafts that are known to break, weak con rods, weak pistons, junk lift pumps, gutless, sound like shit, i could go on and on. Literally everything about the duramax is garbage. They are not reliable. They are not well built. They are a throw away engine. Also they have made many many different versions of the durrmax and they are all garbage.
Any help with a 6.4 and what to do once I get one so I don’t mess it up and get the things it needs. I just don’t know what I need on it for it to last and not give me problems any help?
@Lxquid buy one that has been maintained and first thing to do is delete the dpf. You have to delete these trucks if you want them to last. And run a stock tune when you delete them.
All the information you should need is out there. These trucks have been around for more than a decade. Plenty of good write ups. If you dont have extra money to dump into a 6.4L, youre better off not buying one.

After watching some videos on blow by realized mine def had something wrong with it. I had a cracked head... and slightly bent piston rod after we pulled the motor and put a choate one in. I then have put a fass fuel system, new front and rear diff, calipers all around, alternator, steering box, one new injector went out(under warranty), up pipe busted (new one), and rebuilt turbos... Also AC was jacked up so had to do that. just yesterday I had to put a fuel rail sensor in under the valve cover... Fan clutch went out, that is next. feels like a new truck but sucks to get here
These do some badass burn outs I have 08 350 lariat with 160,000 miles smoother transmission then my 2011 f350 6.7 gotta do some work on them but love them lol
They are great if you delete them and maintain them with oil and fuel filters. But the emissions really hurt the engine, other than that I haven't heard too many complaints and I love my 2008
@jeremy pollitt but the 7.3 is as powerful as a 460 of the same time, it can't do the work that modern diesels do with the amenities modern diesels provide

That was my old truck. At that time it had an S&B intake, 5 inch turbo back exhaust with and 8 inch tip and an sct tune. Stock turbos as well
