Be careful sending her with the check cord attached. If she gets caught up in a snag while in the water, she could drown before you could get to her. Not a criticism, I've unfortunately seen this happen to a friend's lab .... She's made great progress! Know you have to be proud!
Very few people can train a dog. You either send the dog to a trainer or have a pet. But there is nothing worse than hunting with someone that brings there mutt with them and stands in the middle of the decoys trying to get a dog to pick up a duck when you can walk out and get yourself. There are places a dog is a must otherwise a dog is like someon elses 2 year old child making others in the vicinity miserable.
My dog always cheated the river, swim to get ducks straight to bank and run back, didn't bother me. Ice is always a challenge. be carefull sending her immediately after the shot, let her sweat it out a minute when possible!
I'm like 3 videos in on your channel today and I am now very subconscious about my shooting ability 😂 I have not seen you miss! Keep up the good work with Kora 👍
Hard to tell with GoPro video but one of the things Josh does in many of his videos is he doesn't shoot most of the time until he has them in the decoys. You don't see him chasing a lot of cripples as a result - he does a great job.
Young dog doing a great job, but also a very cold dog. Think about getting her some of the dog booties, The vest is one thing. But their feet get cold too.
Dont worry about the crying. I have a pointer that does the same thing. Does not scare the ducks away, just an uncontrollable drive they have! P.S please get rid of that check cord. You dont want her getting caught up and drowning.
Has Kora had her dew claws removed? If so it is probably a factor in her struggling to get back up on the ice b/c that is a big purpose of those claws is gripping ice to pull their body up onto it. In the future I would have my breeder leave them on for waterfowl dogs.
Don't worry about her cheating. Under those conditions "textbook" goes out the window. She will figure out the best/easiest way to get the ducks back to you like a good "meat dog" will. Don't fret it. Good job Cora
Poor guy. Everytome he hunts with you it seems like your the one getting all the birds haha. I remember the one day he couldn't stop missing. So funny..well not at the time probably. But it is now.
Hey bro question for you, how have you been liking “cornerstone dog academy” I’m thinking of buying it, but I’m also highly considering just sending my lab to a professional trainer, downside is it will cost $900 a month and I’ll probably have to leave her there for 4-6months, any recommendations? And if I decide to go with cornerstone dog academy, how much time a day will it require? Thanks love your videos! You’re the G.O.A.T of UA-cam waterfowl
It has worked well for us. We haven't finished the program yet, but she is doing great in the field. Honestly, all you need is 30 minutes a day for the most part. The program is outlined with 4 days of training each week. When you do it yourself, you build the relationship with your dog and grow as a handler.
@Outdoor Limits oh ok cool. Idk if u did an update on those but I'm curious how well they have held up. Seems like a good concept but the old model was known for poor reliability.
Go shoot trap and Sporting Clays and practice. Pattern your gun to see where your shot pattern goes. Get your gun fitted to you so when you pull up the gun it is always with your head down and looking exactly down the rib.
Most new hunters havent had enough expierence judjing distance espically with ducks and geese and birds ie quail is what hunters call birds . Geese are also more diffucult to judge there speed.they look slow but are really fling as fast as a duck.
We have had several hundred Martins migrating thru . The Black birds havent arrived . The sparrows have most ly unchanged . Its been pretty mild so far.
Be careful sending her with the check cord attached. If she gets caught up in a snag while in the water, she could drown before you could get to her.

She's made great progress! Know you have to be proud!
About to comment the same thing. There is a release pull cord they make now because this has happened to so many dogs.
Criticism . What is thinking leaving the dog on a leash.
For those conditions she did well. She's a work in progress!
She’s getting better. Gotta remember to take that long leash off her when you send her, especially with ice
Beautiful last season hunt!!! Cora "shorting" the bank is a good thing.......shows she's got the smarts to go along with the drive!!! Great limit!!
One thing i can't handle is a wining dog, interesting seeing the different limits and what you guys shoot over there versus what we shoot over here

Yeah him and freelance have the most vocal dogs I can’t and won’t put up with it
You put on a shooting clinic in this video. What shells and choke did you shoot?? Great job!
He was shooting a mullers choke, i was wondering what shells he was running as well
Heck of a shot man! You gotta make a video where you only take six shells and challenge yourself to make it into a limit
My dog always cheated the river, swim to get ducks straight to bank and run back, didn't bother me. Ice is always a challenge. be carefull sending her immediately after the shot, let her sweat it out a minute when possible!
Good stuff Josh! Don't be too worried about Kora taking the ice... she's doing great. Keep getting those reps in. Can't wait to see what's next.
Awsome to see kora doin a great job!
Cora whining as she goes to fetch a duck is so cool. She just loves what she does.
i wish you would show off the ducks more often! It’s an important part that i would enjoy more from you. Other than that, great video!
You should trim that collar tag and remove the lead when you send her. Less for her to get tripped up on
Im betting he had the leash under his boot and thought the dog couldnt pull the leash out or had the dog tied up with it somehow with no buano
Please
The dog is the hero of the video here. Bar none.
I would like to see the boat running in skinny water sometime.
The most outdoor limits moment - Josh dropping two mallards while Adam fumbles with his burrito

That war cry is the best! Nice hunt men!
She did well. That was asking a lot of her and she performed. She will be a seasoned vet next year!!!
Not unless the dog is sent to a professional trainer. Otherwise its basically a pet in the field .
Little brown dog has come a long way. The reason she tries to get up on the ice before the release cuz that is what she is use to. Dry ground releases
What a great hunt. Glad yall got into em.
Young dog doing a great job, but also a very cold dog. Think about getting her some of the dog booties, The vest is one thing. But their feet get cold too.
Hey that ice is tuff on old dogs , she is doing great !
That second mallard Adam shot was a young drake from a late hatch I’m assuming. Yellow bill=drake orange/blackish bill=hen
Exactly right, and the cold weather stopped plumage development in order to pack in more down
Awesome hunt. Good shooting. Love seeing Cora work!
A diving duck will educate her you did the right thing letting her figure it out she did great tough conditions on a young dog
It's all a learning curve for both of you. She's doing great.
This is the one situation where a dog with dew claws shines, they can hook the claw and pull themselves up on the ice
Fantastic and that dog just loves it whatever the conditions.
Josh she did good all good experience for her, great hunt, she got the birds.and got them to yah
Love watching brown dogs growth! Keep it up man
Buddy was str8 making luuuuvvv ❤️ to that burrito 🌯 😂😂😂
I typed my comment to early. He's smacking em now. That pinnie got whacked!
What a nice mixed bag of birds.
Love the vids brother. Just keep an eye on kora when send her don't send her with a lesh, she can get stuck
"This Ice Hole Was on Fire!" - every time I eat chili.
Dude. Same. I have a rule about chili and duck season with my wife
@@OutdoorLimits yeah, imagine it can derail a hunt.
Dont worry about the crying. I have a pointer that does the same thing. Does not scare the ducks away, just an uncontrollable drive they have! P.S please get rid of that check cord. You dont want her getting caught up and drowning.
Amen on drown cord !

Wow... they be dropping in!
All in all I think she done good. enjoyed it Josh
Gotta love the war cry!
What kayak set up are y’all running in this video. Looking for one to use with my dog
Poor guy. Everytome he hunts with you it seems like your the one getting all the birds haha. I remember the one day he couldn't stop missing. So funny..well not at the time probably. But it is now.
Sweet retrieves. Cora worked her butt off.
she sure did!

Cora is doing great
Great hunt... I would be nervous about that leash catching on growth or ice in the water...
No check chord dose wonders this time of year
That was a late hatch drake mallard. Yellow or drab olive bill 100% giveaway
How did you get on X hunt with the temp wind and all in the video
Good hunt. Good day for Cora.
Nice shoot dear
Which is your favorite Four River or momarsh layout boat? I have a 70lb lab he is well behaved and is calm in my canoe.
four rivers all the way
I want see more with the final attack
What do y’all do with your motors? After you’re to your spot?
think Adam was just out for cold afternoon lunch
Thats always a possibility
Do u have 3 flockaflickers because one already crapped out?
no. Just threw 3 in the bag
@Outdoor Limits oh ok cool. Idk if u did an update on those but I'm curious how well they have held up. Seems like a good concept but the old model was known for poor reliability.
Very good hunting, super images, how many grams and no cartridges do you use and how many degrees is the air temperature ? Thanks for information bro
Крутая охота и сабака тоже класс!
What blind is that on the kayak you were on?
Look at the quick release system from gun dog outdoors, it’s well worth it.
Be careful about leaving the leash on the dog when you release…. It could get snagged and hurt her
Saludos desde Quebradillas Puerto Rico y Excelete Cazeria 👍👍
Is that a muller decoy choke?
What choke do you have on?
What’s that ear piece you are using?
i wish i had this many times to shoot i get one shot a hunt lol
What decoy is it dipping and spraying?
Higdon Pulsators
What under layer tan hoodie is that?
You should get the ducks the ice is to hard on your dog
I was wondering how to improve my shot and miss less ducks?

So what is the verdict? Do you like the 4 Rivers better or the Momarsh?
I think i'm leaning four rivers at this point
@@OutdoorLimits Thanks for your input! I appreciate it!
Anyone in the Hays Kansas area know where the birds went?
We have had several hundred Martins migrating thru . The Black birds havent arrived . The sparrows have most ly unchanged . Its been pretty mild so far.
Your going to get her hurt with that ice.
Love it when they lunge and bury entire head underwater. Choc labs are the best.
How do the Casey's burritos stack up against their pizza?
Wait till a bunch of greenheads comes in . Will it be the Burrto or the Shotgun. A Teal isnt worth a ham samich even w/ mayo .
Her hair is to short for that cold water. I have a Chessie that loves and can take the cold water.
I think ur buddy needs some target practice lol
Man you’ve got to take her leash off of her. That is dangerous
رائع
Your dog needs a hella more training on everything even to cut the whining out, she needs and leased a 1 year and a half to two years at the trainer.
Never heard a Bitch whine more than my x till today.
I would not send her with a leash on ...rookie move come on bud..love the vids though
Adam is the laziest hunter, lol!
And the best hunting buddy
@@OutdoorLimits would love to hunt with you both
الفيديو مافي صوت 😡👂
I don't like the lead on her while working
I’d rather hunt without a dog than listen to that whining
Adam doesn’t have a lot of hunt in him…
