I prefer her voice to Ailyn's (just preference to darker mezzos over bright childlike sopranos), although they are both great vocalists (Ailyn is not any way worse). I think that Morten still hasn't used her full potential. She is not only professional opera singer, but she also sang in jazz band, did chanson, etc. In Trail of Tears (album Existencia) were her vocals used in more creative way.
@@fleshgod9332 it was definitely a mistake from my pov. However, I don't like their albums with Emma either, musically. The songs sounded expected and monotonous. The last two albums with Ailyn were excellent and Morten admitted they took a different turn on the albums for experimenting sound.
@@despairingleonardo I was dissapontied when I heard first Sirenia's album with Emma. I remember her vocals with Trail of Tears on album Existentia, which i loved so much. She is a great singer, actually pretty versatile (she sang opera, jazz, trip-hop, chanson, etc.), but i think that Morten has nowadays same problem like Tuomas with Floor: they just can't use full potential their singers and doesn't write songs which would shown it. And I would also prefer if Morten used less choirs, less is often more. Now cover Voyage, Voyage is actually nice, pretty fresh air for me.
Imo Perils of the Deep Blue was their peak- I like SOME of their songs with Emmanuelle but I just can’t get into her voice the same way I got into Ailyn’s (who has an extremely unique voice??), she’s a great singer but I’m not really a fan of her darker tone/heavier vocals. To me it always sounds like her upper belts aren’t even used with a full voice and she’s fake singing even though it’s obvious that’s just her voice (considering she’s gotta have extensive training for all the work she’s done outside of Sirenia) Also, when is Morten gonna stop using “strife” in his songs lol
Technically speaking, her voice is not bad, it has volume and strength, her techniques are solid, however, it doesn't suit the band as well as the voices of other vocalists did.
You're in every video saying that, that's just your opinion, I disagree, and the band members also disagree. So you can be an Aylin widower all you want, she's gone. You're not even a musician or a music critic, so what a salty Aylin simp has to say changes NOTHING.
@@Traigame2cervezas You are in every video, too, so what's your point? 🤣 Yes, this is my opinion, and I can post it as many times as I want. Any problems with that?
she's just amazing!

I love her voice SO MUCH!
Her voice in the 12th hour is gorgeoooooous
16:35 is a D6.
this woman has an angelic voice, she only loses to Tarja
Tarja, Manuela, Dianne, Emmanuelle, Lori Lewis, Heidi Parveinen are the best.
I like Emma more.
I just can't like her voice. I love Ailyn too much.
Yeah kicking Ailyn out was the biggest mistake this band could have made.

I don't like her voice, and normally I enjoy mezzo sopranos. Not sure why.
