I was initially annoyed by the cam-edits' obfuscating jump-cuts, but as the act progressed I realized we were past the preliminary sleights and into the unknown. I was not able to parse the actions at the end, even frame-by-frame.
I love it when people act surprised that the magician fooled Penn and Teller when the entire time Penn and Teller were just sitting there slack jawed in amazement watching the routine. This is the best coin magic I've ever seen.
Not always true. I've seen their jaws drop and then they come back and bust them. This trick was easy to figure out anyways. Hernan is obviously a wizard and must be on summer break from Hogwarts.
As a fellow fooler and a great friend and brother, I couldn’t be prouder of you. 😍 Your magic is not just about deception, it’s about heart, simplicity, and true artistry. Watching you captivate Penn & Teller, and everyone else, was pure joy. For those who don’t know, Hernán’s magic goes beyond what you see here. His philosophy and deep understanding of our craft make him one of the most inspiring magicians I know. If this performance moved you, I highly recommend checking out his work. Bravo, hermano! 👏👏👏
This is just absolutely astonishing. Clean table, clean props, sleeves rolled up, hands never touching, hands never out of sight, and constantly flashing clean palms throughout. Even the one little moment with the coin not laying flat at 2:41 doesn't help me the _slightest_ with how you got it into your hand to begin with so much as reassure me it is, in fact, an illusion and you haven't unlocked the secrets of true sorcery. You, sir, have left me well and truly boggled. I applaud you.
I don't think the coin not lying flat means anything. He's got a mat on the table that is clearly visible and P&T check it over. The coin simply landed partially on the mat and partially off.
The "box" can change shape allowing a coin to go through it, by pressing it together. Watch at 3:29. He turns his hand , pushes the coin out the "box", onto the table, then quickly turns his hand upside down over the coin. He then quickly puts the "box" lol over the coin he has hidden under his hand real fast.
They know exactly how it's done. It's a pretty standard illusion. The catch is he did it up close and did it super clean. They gave him the trophy because they didn't catch any of the moves, even sitting right next to him. That's impressive.
Every once in a while there is a magician that comes on the show and nails it, then has people taking about that trick for years to come. This is one of those moments
I would think that they for sure figured out the gimmick, even if they didn't follow every bit of the sleight of hand. They've definitely seen plenty of tricks using exactly the same method.
Pretty easy. I still remember when someone fooled them with two coins fall from one hand to another and they thought it was a shell. Only flipper does that and the whole routine was based on flipper not a shell. That’s rookie mistake
I have never been a fan of using coin boxes in magic but this is simply amazing. The best coin box routine I have ever seen. I had to stop the video few times during the act, not to watch it again but just to collect my jaw from the floor. 😂😂 Amazing, amazing, amazing!
The look of astonishment and bewilderment on Penn & Teller's faces is priceless. To top it all off they couldn't even come up with any code to discuss with Hernán after the trick.
I just watched this last night. I was also just as amazed as Teller was, every time the coins vanished from the brass cylinder. This is what real magic looks like!!
This reminds me of Rene Lavand's Oil & Water routine - simple, elegant, and absolutely beautiful to watch. When the first move sends Teller's jaw crashing to the table and you say "let me do that a few more times, but slower", you know things are only going to get better. Thank you for sharing this!
This is the greatest sleight of hand I have ever seen and I've watched just about all of Penn & Teller Fool Us and numerous other magicians over the years. Taking nothing away from those other amazing acts but this just seemed impossible and like real "magic".
Thing is, I don't think it was sleight of hand, there was no indication of sleight of hand happening. How do I know this? Do you think sleight of hand mastery fools Penn and Teller? Not a chance it does. They would simply say great sleight of hand.
i love coin magic, i think about different methods for coin tricks all the time occasionally i'll get up out of bed when i crack trick idea. I have no idea how this is done this is the finest coin magic I have ever seen in my life. I'm absolutely blown away. I keep rewatching and unless there is some high tech solution (very doubtful) I can't even begin to imagine the method to this.
That was an amazing routine! Maybe I am a rare person, but I honestly don’t want to know how the trick was performed. I just want to sit and be amazed for a few minutes. Thank you for the gift!
I have watched almost every show and I've never seen Teller so shocked and amazed. When he got back to the chair you could see him tell Penn "I got nothing."
I love the disconnect in my mind that knows there must be a trick, and yet not being able to figure it out so it feels like actual magic. ¡Grande Hernán! ❤🇦🇷⭐️⭐️⭐️
Best coin magic and use of "black art" I have ever seen. Even knowing how it was done now (after thinking about it) in no way detracts from the utter amazement I had first seeing you do it. Its like being a kid again watching a magician before I got into magic myself.
Single trick, not a whole performance. Simple and to the point. And yet you bring wonder to even the hardened magicians you were performing for. This may have been the *perfect* Fool Us performance.
I caught the first sleight on the first trick, but the rest is a complete mystery. I’ve been watching and studying magicians for a very long time with a focus on catching how they do things, this guy is a master
I saw how the first one was done and I have an idea of how a certain mechanic of this trick works, but after that....INCREDIBLE! I have NO idea. Maestro!!!!!

Whatching this I shared one thing with Teller, his expression. This is an incredible magic. I'm in awe. I don't think I've seen anything like this. So powerfull.
That's actually so crazy. I think for Penn and Teller this is really a trick that leaves few possibilities to explain it - but you can see Penn's face and body language right after the first reveal of the 4-coin transfer, he's stunned and immediately straights up and focuses to figure this out, and from what I've heard of him before, I don't even think it's like a challenge for the show, it's genuinely just because he really wants to know for himself. Beautiful trick, and I think I caught a bit of how some of the later parts were done, but that first disappearance of all four coins was absolutely magical, and even going slowmo through this trick I'm not sure how he did it entirely still. Amazing trick, amazing presentation, love it.
What an amazing routine. To perform this mere inches from Teller's face and have him totally bewildered is one of the most incredible things I've ever seen.

A magnificent and thoroughly captivating performance, Hernán! Penn and Teller weren't the only ones watching this with their mouths wide-open in amazement! Congratulations! Bravo!
It is always great to see Teller have those puzzled expressions. You know it there and then that the magician has fooled them. But seeing Penn also have those expression was more brilliant.
@2:48 when he puts the third coin in, he is somehow able to take the second (or maybe first) coin out from under it and into his palm. The brass cylinder as innocent as it seems is hugely important, probably with edges to catch the coins just right. Just my best guess. But the stuff after that I have no ideas. This is truly top top top tier stuff. Bravo.
I watched this and then watched it at 0.25 speed and only caught one thing, and it happens so fast that even at 0.25 speed it was very hard to spot, superb routine and perfectly done and the look on Tellers face says it all.
