South Fork New River With Crossed Paddles

I met up with the Crossed Paddles group for a day of kayaking on the South Fork Of The New River. We put in at 421/221 and the New River Hills Road access in Boone NC. This was a 8 mile stretch on a river I had not yet paddled. Being the middle of summer water levels were low so this was something the group had to contend with. There were no rapids bigger than a class 1 on this day but the river was beautiful and it was a great day on the water!
