Your mom has a lovely garden! A tip that helped me after an infestation of beetles was to apply beneficial nematodes. I applied them twice in 2021 and saw only 5 beetles total through the whole season.

You can install soaker hoses throughout your rose garden on a timer to keep from wetting the leaves and flowers. To keep from wasting water in areas between flower beds you can make your own soaker hose from a cheap garden hose. Cap off the end and make your own pin holes for water to come through in desired areas. It works pretty good. You have a beautiful garden! Good luck!

Your mom’s roses are GORGEOUS! It looks like she lives in the country but it sounds like she lives near a freeway or airport. I think I saw somewhere that you live in Michigan like me. If your mom does too let us know when she starts her flower business!

NO no don't cut them, (Japanese beetles) it releases hormones that attract more....use snippers to grab and then drop into a container of blue dawn dish soap :) Beautiful roses, great video.

The Japanese Beetle is the (menace) to any Rose Garden society. I highly utilize both liquid and powder forms of Sevin Dust for my Zone 5 Region. This video footage is the epitome for all 21st century Rose Gardening !!!
