Obviously not for everyone (lotta hate in the comments) but there is a place for these. I'd rather hang out in a cab during a snow storm or rain (as long as the ventilation/defrost system was well-sorted) than spend the day soaking wet and freezing cold. It's also a good place to mount lights for night operations. If you make a living on your sled day in and day out, having some weather protection and a place to keep your gear locked up is pretty damn smart. Yes, you lose some sportiness, yes you lose some clearance. But everybody uses their gear differently. Don't hate on it just because it doesn't suit your needs.
This would be great for search and rescue, for getting stranded motorists off the interstate during a blizzard, taking disabled people on the trails, or children. There is always a place for everyone, I like the snow, wind and sounds of going through the hills.
This might be great for search and rescue in extreme weather conditions. It might allow the rescue of people that are already cold stressed and cannot tolerate more cold stress. I see great potential for this idea in those applications.
Would love to see a video of an overnight camp trip in one of these. Take a propane cook stove with food and drink, sleeping bag, source of light.....and you'd have an arctic adventure!

I can relate, I got a case of hypothermia about seven years ago and I absolutely can not deal with the cold any more, before I lived in the state of Washington and drove 33 miles one way to work with the windows roled down and loved it, not anymore I would be in trouble in an heartbeat.
Your comment made me wonder if anyone might have a video of a 'overnighter' in a cab such as this? Another video I saw posted had a sleek elongated canopy mounted to a snowmobile that looks like one could stretch out and sleep in. I think it would be a cool adventure to camp out in one on the side of a snow trail..... if you take a source of heat like a vented propane stove to make hot food / drink. An arctic sleeping bag.... sounds fun.
I believe some manufacturers made something like this very similar to this back in the seventies early eighties. I've seen a few here and there at antique sled shows.
I love snowmobiling that’s the one thing I miss about living in New York ..product looks pretty cool just wonder how I would handle in the Rough parts of the mountain 🤔 also exhaust fumes anyway I’ll look into it thanks for the video👍😎
I can see some practical application for this. Asthmatics could use it as a way of getting out on the trail. Or people that have had facial frostbite before. There are several sources of heat available; the engine and exhaust, the heat exchangers, and the handlebar and thumb warmers. It could be a pretty warm environment. I wonder about fogging of the glass before it gets warm inside. My biggest worry is inhalation of exhaust fumes. Other points to consider are; being tempted to not wear a helmet; the inability to shift weight to the uphill side of the sled due to the narrow confines of the cab; the top heaviness of an extra, and completely static 154 pounds; and, lastly, a rollover caused by that top heaviness and/or inability to shift your weight that wouldn't let you open the doors. You would definitely want to carry a tool in a handy spot for smashing the glass if the need arose.
Guys, there's no need to be so nasty in your comments! Why is it as soon as people get behind a keyboard, they turn into the worst people.... I understand what some of you are saying, but people like dchayden are just ignorant. For recreational riding, it's probably not ideal. I can't see myself buying one. I want to feel the wind and in powder, I want to lean out around a corner...I am sledding to be out doors. BUT... .... I think maybe if you WORK out in the cold, you might be glad of some protection. I would be concerned about exhaust fumes gathering in the cabin.
I'm picturing an overnight camping trip in one of these. With a propane cook stove, food and drink, sleeping bag and a light source. An overnight arctic adventure on the side of a snow trail.... Sounds fun!
LCI, you should seriously consider partnering with Clam Outdoors, they are an Ice Fishing company and TV show. If you get these guys to partner or you do a sponsorship, you will reach a really strong market outside of casual trail riders. It wouldn't be hard to use their insulation to build them even warmer as they are a mobile type of group of people who don't always fish in their flip over shacks. Dave Genz is probably the greatest recognized name in the ice fishing industry, and he preaches mobile fishing. He sets up all his equipment direction on his sled, but with this cab, he could heat it with his lil buddy, insulate it for more warmth, and use the door as a wind block. You guys might already be familiar with ice fishing, and I ran across this video and immediately thought of this application. For what it's worth from a random stranger, I would highly consider reaching out to them and sharing your product, trust me, it'll be worth it for you. Good luck.
You know, a lot of the trails you ride are groomed with work sleds like the skandic, this doesn't deserve so much hate. For conditions like that, the cabin idea is great.
Dan Gould I haven't seen a sled grooming a trail in probably 35 years (an old Alpine dragging a bed frame with cinderblocks on it for weight. Nowadays every place we ride has an actual groomer capable of cutting down moguls & most have a tiller on the drag too.
In Central and Southern NH where a good amount of the trails are single track through thick woods, and the snow is limited so clubs can't aford large groomers we have lots of trails groomed using a sled and a drag.
Oh boy, I wish I had this for those really cold early mornings I have to ride the snowmobile out to the main road to get to my work van. Looks like they don't make it any more though.
Someone was thinking 'outside the box' on this bad-boy. Great idea, the only thing I don't like about it is...I didn't think of it first. Now, where can I get one?
There could be a place for it, open trails across fields and lakes. In New England there are too many tight trails and low branchés, add in road crossings with ice banks would make it a challenge. I do like the concept though.
Comfort wise it would be nice, but after 13 years living in Alaska, I never knew a sled driver who didn't roll or flip their sled at least once, wouldn't that canopy bust into pieces.
I guess it would be ok for a farm or something but for backcountry/trail riding this would be garbage. The whole point to sledding is to shift your body weight and be outside in nature, not in a plastic and metal box.
Would be ok on an old elan or something used for getting onto the lake for ice fishing...but awfully impractical for anything but a completely flat surface.
sweet! I wonder if there can be a issue with exhaust fumes if there is a exhaust leak and it makes it way through somehow. hmm I dont know. friig I know my msz might have that issue lol being the tunnel fills up like crazy.lol shit I need more money
its not practical at all. its actually dangerous in certain situations. unless you're grooming trails or snow blowing, ride a regular uncabbed snowmoble. and safe face when you pull up to the local bar.
Seriously chill out if u don’t like it don’t buy it this probably for search and rescue or trapping or some sort of work where you are always on a snowmobile like on big ski hills there are people that drive around and make sure people aren’t hurt
And just 10 years ago, younger folks wouldn't dream of being caught on a golf cart... that's a grandpa vehicle! Now, they're the cats ass and everyone your age is buying one with lift kits, sound systems and neon lights. I still have my sports ATV that I used to jump every berm, bottom out in every mud hole and throw gravel on anyone nearby. I just don't find that fun anymore. Now I like my 4x4 ATV with big tires, front n rear racks, and a winch. I'm still on the mountain and in the woods, just not dirty, wet and frozen while doing it. Most times with a grandchild tagging along! With a little luck, you'll be a Grandpa someday. Take it from this Grandpa, it's the greatest thing ever!
What the heck i have seen some dumb things in my life but i would have to say this one takes the cake. Please i would have to agree with the last post if you cannot handle the cold stay home stop snowmobiling its not your sport. Sorry not something i would ever put on my yamaha apex xtx.

Agreed, I can see this contraption having use at ski resorts for hauling snowmaking equipment, or search and rescue in remote locations.
This would be great for search and rescue, for getting stranded motorists off the interstate during a blizzard, taking disabled people on the trails, or children. There is always a place for everyone, I like the snow, wind and sounds of going through the hills.
This is awesome for extreme bad weather conditions where hypothermia is a danger. Love It
Hypothermia is always a danger in the winter. Dress warm.
This might be great for search and rescue in extreme weather conditions. It might allow the rescue of people that are already cold stressed and cannot tolerate more cold stress. I see great potential for this idea in those applications.
Stay home then...
@@sherischneider2672 you obviously never road a snow machine!
I live in Alberta and I would love to have a cab like that for my machine. Where can I get a cab like that? Just very good job whoever built it.
I bought one of these for my m1000. Installed it and took it to the mountains it worked really well!
Ballin on a budget not being a hater but a serious question what if you have to bail or tip over
it is a joke
Would love to see a video of an overnight camp trip in one of these. Take a propane cook stove with food and drink, sleeping bag, source of light.....and you'd have an arctic adventure!
I like it, they should make it sound proof and heated with Bluetooth and surround sound audio, just sayin.......
Very cool. I love new ideas when it comes to snowmachies. You hit a home run..
This might be great for search and rescue in extreme weather conditions. It might allow the rescue of people that are already cold stressed and cannot tolerate more cold stress. I see great potential for this idea in those applications.
My father would love one of these, he is retired and would like to get out on the sled more but he doesn't take to the cold very well any more.
I can relate, I got a case of hypothermia about seven years ago and I absolutely can not deal with the cold any more, before I lived in the state of Washington and drove 33 miles one way to work with the windows roled down and loved it, not anymore I would be in trouble in an heartbeat.
I have one similar to this on my ATV, it makes it comfy when it's raining or in cold weather

This is fantastic, you don't have to freeze the entire time you are out in the winter!
This would be excellent in many commuter and hauling applications!
I think it's pretty cool. It could be used as an ice shack for fishing.
A throwback to the koehn sno go cab of the late sixties
I believe some manufacturers made something like this very similar to this back in the seventies early eighties. I've seen a few here and there at antique sled shows.
awesome invention for cruising and sight seeing but not for having fun it still is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more fun with out the cabin
Sure hope you don't have any exhaust leaks!!! LOL...
This was for yammy drivers lol
Absolutely love it I stop by to subscribe 😉👍👍👍
Good for getting to and from the fishing hut.
I love snowmobiling that’s the one thing I miss about living in New York ..product looks pretty cool just wonder how I would handle in the Rough parts of the mountain 🤔 also exhaust fumes anyway I’ll look into it thanks for the video👍😎
I saw a lot of videos on youtube of guys pulling groomers with bearcats. If you're using a snowmobile for work like that, this sure would be nice.
I can see some practical application for this. Asthmatics could use it as a way of getting out on the trail. Or people that have had facial frostbite before.

I agree.. For trail riding, it is not ideal. It could be good for search and rescue.
Cool idea!
I would like to have a cab like that for my Outlander. That would be sweet af!
Great idea! If you lived off grid in a snowy place & just used a sled for transport that could be really nice.
I'm picturing an overnight camping trip in one of these. With a propane cook stove, food and drink, sleeping bag and a light source. An overnight arctic adventure on the side of a snow trail.... Sounds fun!

this would be dope for ice fishing
If your just going from point A to B hell yes
want to see it at 120mph lol.
Looks great :)
Better bring back the Ski-Doo elite
Nice! but safety should alway be a priority first where are ur helmets
I guess it's a good idea if the pope wanted to go sledding..
😃
Lmfao... but it's not bulletproof.

I think is great , to each his own ..

I get this for in the artic where sleds are tools and it’s cold but for trail riding for fun man up
Nice for a ice fishing sled for sure! Other than that use , umm, yeaaaaaaaah
Awesome!

Just as the Arctic cat twinspark chassie wasn't uggly enough! Lol! And since you are on a plowed road why not just take the car right away?
looks perfect for a nice enjoyable trail ride helmet free ,i say ...what took so long
This is for someone who doesnt like sledding or the cold. If you want this your better suited just getting a sea doo and going out in the summer.
BandMProductions maybe they want a scenic winter ride.
Is it still active? Id like to buy one!
You could have waited for some bad weather 😆
It isn't snowmobiling unless your coat smells like gas!
Eastern Explorer exactly
Pretty nifty. But can one be assured that no noxious engine exhaust fumes will enter the cab ?
I saw some little vents at :10
i need one for my jetski
1:18 for the best part of the video.
Exhaust fumes would be an issue. I would have just took a truck on those trails.
Sanctuary in the cold.
Its not a bad idea, but in my sled experience I don't know many people who haven't flipped their machine at least once.
I'd still wear a helmet. But that's me.
I wonder if it has turn signals and back up alarm too
I think the sound of the sled would resonate inside.
It's a neat idea but I think a Jeep or Suzuki with tracks on it would fit this niche better
its pretty cool but its just a top piece...i thuink it would be a lot cooler if it had some heat in there
Comfort wise it would be nice, but after 13 years living in Alaska, I never knew a sled driver who didn't roll or flip their sled at least once, wouldn't that canopy bust into pieces.
Be good for a swt sled could buy an 04 elite twin track side by side or one of the 70s elites instead.
If I would see this from a little away I would think that someone driving a smart car in the snow
I guess it would be ok for a farm or something but for backcountry/trail riding this would be garbage. The whole point to sledding is to shift your body weight and be outside in nature, not in a plastic and metal box.

What happens if exhaust gets into the cab? Is it vented properly?
I think its pretty cool.....
its not practical at all. its actually dangerous in certain situations. unless you're grooming trails or snow blowing, ride a regular uncabbed snowmoble. and safe face when you pull up to the local bar.
Imagine getting stuck with this thing :D
it could be cool for ice fishing in remote places, maybe,,not for me of coarse
Is it heated?
This is awesome. Does it have a heater too?
Now it needs a subwoofer and DVD player.
Nice. Take non riders out to the mountains. Heater?
It's very telling that they only show it operating on a plowed road.
I wonder if they tried to rip a piece off in that cab?
Nice idea however not very practical for a trail riding. Would need a serious defroster to keep the glass clear.
Seriously chill out if u don’t like it don’t buy it this probably for search and rescue or trapping or some sort of work where you are always on a snowmobile like on big ski hills there are people that drive around and make sure people aren’t hurt
Sidehill that thing!
Looks good but we don’t get to see it much.
I'm pretty sure that in order to ride a snow mobile you are going to have to lean hard or stand up. With this contraption neither are possible.
I can see alot of people not wearing helmets in one of these, and that is not a good thing.
Not at all convinced thats safe for all applications. Although it does look cool.
very dorky but I like the idea
Wow with a windshield you don’t need a helmet must have airbags
Монголын алтай 5 богд хайрханд хэрэгтэй цасны авто машин мөн

It's all good as long as all the trails are flat. How would you sidehill a snow drift?!! You wouldn't!!!!!
bru why do you even need that, put on some water resistant clothes and then some warm ones. is it really that hard?
I wonder if the XX gave them the rights to use the song?@
Ski Cab - For the lazy snowmobiler!

But will it work on all snowmobiles
I want to see this Off -trail .... in Powder snow ...... and cross -winds ... ha ha ...
