In Ducati Dall'Igna wants MM. He's the only one, but his opinion counts more than anyone else's. So they kept on telling Martin and Bastianini to wait another week, wait another week... until Martin got fed up.

Nah Martin was set to join the factory team. Ducati's plan was to get Marquez to pramac and Martin to factory but Marquez blew their head off by saying pramac was not an option so they took a U-turn instead and picked Marc.
Martin was informed about this and he just left.
Fac Duc knew by playing this strategy, Jorge would get tired of waiting and quickly make up both himself and Duc’s decision. Jorge has a great opportunity this calendar season to fight for the championship and I’m positive he’s more determined than ever before. Good stuff 89!

Regardless of anything else, this will shape up the rest of this season and next year to be more exciting. IF MM is going to be PB's teammate next year, and depending on how Ducati feels about JM jumping off, more drama for this year and maybe more support for MM from Ducati this year, if possible. One thing would be for sure, IF MM is the new Ducati Team member (next year but if announced soon), Ducati will want to see PB and MM at the top THIS year. Should all be fun to watch. Mo excitement, mo betta.

Ducati would be mad to put Marc alongside Pecco ... why would they want to have two riders taking points off each other, while Aprilia are going to have a clear no.1 rider in Martin getting all the support for him to win the title. Enea is a great no.2 to Pecco, and the combination of Pecco and the Ducai should deliver the title until another manufacturer eventually makes the step past the Ducati.
Plus Ducati will have a rookie coming from moto 2 next year to fill Jorge Martin spot. Can't 💬 think 🤔 of this rookie name 📛. But next year 2025 he will be there, 2025 in pramac Ducati....
MM93 is the biggest name in motorbike racing. Literally ANY team would snap at the chance to have him. He's competing against Pecco right now, on an inferior machine. He's an 8 time WC. The merchandise and bike sales alone make it worth the potential rider conflict.

Happy for Aprilia coz MV is not a fighter despite being given so many chances to shine coz he is not consistent.
Aprilia is top three when clocking the best time during practices, Qs as the bike is already running when the clock starts ticking but during the race start launch, Aprilia is the worst despite being in the front row or pole
Looking at what Acosta already can do on the Gas Gas KTM, makes you realize how a really fast rider like Martin, could really make the difference at Aprilia, providing the missing component in their challenge to Ducati. Maverick has sort of proved that for them, on the occasions he can pull it together, but he's inconsistent and really doesn't go well if the bike isn't working perfectly at a particular track.
If Vinales moves on, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a Martin and Bastiani or Miller pairing at Aprilia.
Aprilia must of gave George lots of money 💰💵to go.

I think Jorge will perform better than Aleix and Maverick, certainly in terms of consistency. All it seems the Aprilia needs is a bit more top end. I believe Jorge jumped ship because he knew he was not going to get the Ducati factory seat which they are obviously giving to Marquez. I personally hope Martin goes on to win the World Championship this year and can repeat the feat next year, I really don't care for how Ducati has conducted themselves with regard to Martin.
A very logical decision when you get written off by Ducati Lenovo because of someone with "more status", despite your performance and being not only a championship contender, but also the current leader. At least, that's what the rumors regarding Marquez suggest, but we'll have to wait and see if that's actually true. If it is, I totally understand Martin's decision, and I congratulate Aprilia with pulling this off.

I hope the inside knowledge and experience that Martin will bring to Aprilia will help his new team bring it to Ducati next year. A poor short term decision by Ducati, investing in the older champion with limited future instead of supporting the current points leader with far better long term prospects. Perhaps the upcoming change to the bikes figured into this for Ducati, the strategy being short term goals before the 850 “reset”.
