Let’s not forget that Kinkajou dropped an entire chunk of a brick wall onto Chameleon’s skull, even though Qibli already had him immobilized and stripped of animus tools where there was absolutely no need to further attack him. And right before the encounter, Kinkajou said “I owe that dragon a few broken bones and a coma!” She’s not a murderer, but she certainly has a burning vengeance in her. Also I’d say that erasing Darkstalker‘s memories and turning him into a child was a fate worse than death. She bloody erased Darkstalker’s soul and conscience from existence but left the body to wander around with some artificially remade host. In my eyes, that’s diabolical. Kinkajou did to Darkstalker exactly what Darkstalker was trying to do to everyone else: reshape and brainwash the mind with magic to become something fake.
Remember, we've seen exactly 2 RainWings deliberately attack someone with their venom, ever. Glory ofc. And our dear friend Kinkajou. Let's not forget Darkstalker was also one of her targets. I just got shivers at the thought that maybe she went back after realizing the job wasn't finished like some freaking serial killer when her venom failed to stop him. ...Now I want a POV book from her just so we can see with absolutely certainty and in canon that ISN'T the case because god no.
I recommend watching the wof holloween map "nightmares lullaby", I think they did a great job at showcasing how that could work, remember, being undieing is a part of being immortal,so even without a body,Darkstalker could be a threat. I also absaloutly adore that one as well, and even consider writeing a fanfic at times about dragons in the far future figuring out what happened to Darkstalker and trying to bring him back.
@@gabeprice2706 I’m just curious on WHY they would bring him back? Like I would love to see another Darkstalker breakdown for being…um……away from his friends he hade maxes in 5000
I would genuinely make an entire UA-cam channel, work and obsess for years 'til I had millions of subscribers and pay you thousands of dollars just to comment this on one of my videos for my main and all my alts so I could heart it and show the world
Kinkajou is great and all, but she’s been tortured and affected by animus magic (anemones love spell). I’m 95% sure there is a darker kinkajou in there, which is… unnerving.
@@alyssawesome61413 wha- I see Kinkajou fighting, but she was always like that! She was always okay to fight, I mean, “I did like those scars though. They made me look all battle-scarred and tough.” She states that she would like to look “battle-scarred”. Shes overexcited, but she will fight
I feel like after kinkajou venomed that first nightwing while escaping with glory, that was when it started to go down. Remember, after doing that to the guard (I’m pretty sure it didn’t kill him) remember how guilty she felt? She never wanted to use those powers to hurt dragons. Time skip to the second arc, kinkajou is literally like “I SWEAR IF YOU TAKE ONE STEP CLOSER TO ME IN THAT WAY AGAIN IM GOING TO MAKE YOU *DROWN* IN VENOM!” She probably has a vengeful side to her. Think about how she dropped a brick on chameleon, even though the jade winglet took his powers away. She didn’t *need* to do that. But now she’s the vengeful kinkajou instead of the happy little rainwing in the forest. And with the darkstalker spell - yeah he did really, really bad things, but kinkajou was like “lets make this dragon poof out of existence and make a baby take over him lol”. The sadder part is in one of darkstalkers last bits of dialogue he says something like “im not evil-“ but then cuts off. I think then he finally starts to realise what he’s doing. Imagine kinkajou was the “beware the one who is not what she seems” in the prophecy
Kinkajous definitely a bit... Overeager with her threats. But I think if Scarlet deserved to have her face melted, live in isolation and then die, Darkstalker was getting a good deal becoming Peacemaker
I think your right about that even tho I didn’t read it all if all this stuff is true then I think Kinkajou is the beware the one who is not what she seems after all I don’t think they found the one or they probably mistook someone for being that person because of their actions
Yeah i also agree- i mean they thought it could’ve been peril or somebody else, but i think that kinkajou would definitely fit the role of “beware of one who is not what she seems”
If this is ever a series,a good candidate would be kestrel, everyone feels sorry for her when she tried to kill glory just because she is a rainwing, ABUSED and belittled clay and was physically violent towards all of them. These actions are overlooked just because she died a painful death. She is an antagonist,I get she had kids but if she treated the dod like that, then how would she treat her children? The fandom chooses to look at kestrel’s perspective, when you look at clay’s you get a much, much darker side.
I don’t forgive Kestrel (as a victim of abuse myself I initially despised her), but I’m a fan of Kestrl because Kestrel seemed to regret her actions and want to *work* towards redeeming herself…but she never got the chance. Honestly I think Kestrel’s death was just not great, she should’ve had more time to develop her working on redeeming her actions and becoming the mother figure to the DoD she should’ve been this entire time. That’s why I like Kestrel, the Kestrel she could’ve been if she stayed alive.
And we can’t forget that in Dragon Slayer, she only pretended to kill Sky, and then later, from Wren’s POV, she went to look for her. But Sky is seen as worried because he was only a young dragonet and he saw that his mother had abandoned him. But Kestrel has been looking for him to possibly have a new life with him. Or on a darker note, finish him off. And Kestrel did try to escape with Peril, and in my opinion, that shows that she truly cared for her dragonets. “I am what this world made me” Kestrel to Peril after the DoD escaped the Sky kingdom.
He got sold for cows, was trapped under a mountain, almost “died”by trying to escape, scarlets arena, sea wing palace, almost died again but because I think of snake, injured leg forever, and I almost forgot pretty sure one of his siblings were killed so yeah that’s all I know rn he be sad man
*In Kinkajous' Defense* (don't worry, i did put a tldr) *Point Zero* Honestly, I really see some of what people are saying, ESPECIALLY with the Ruby/Tourmaline but I feel like some people are forgetting that Kinkajou didn't forcefeed Darkstalker the strawberry or anything. He ate it himself, saying it wouldn't affect him. (Unfortunately I don't have Darkstalker Legends on me, but if anyone can reference the actual paragraph stating that he was made to eat it, I will place my vote on criminal charges to whoever did this.) *Point One* And, like, yeah, as was said; Glory killed Fjord and Crocodile and that's not murder. Tsunami killed Gill and nobody is accusing her of being evil. This is because of one key reason: They didn't actually have a choice. Fjord could have killed Clay and Gill might have killed Tsunami. And to get into their positions in the arena, you can almost guarantee that they have killed. Crocodile was threatening the lives of a bunch of actual children, and it's likely she's killed in battle or in the Talons of Peace. And Tsunami and Glory are generally agreed to be innocent, or at least on very mild charges for the situation- Because the dragons they did this to (in Glorys' case, a significant amount more painfully than Tsunami and Kinkajou) dragons were categorically dangerous. They threatened, they showed a past of harming or killing dragons in eerily similar situations, they used their size and power as leverage against the less experienced and weaker. This is, by all means, someone who is intentionally causing harm or moments away from doing as such (hence Fjord breathing frostbreath on Clays' wing, Crocodile threatening the dragonets of destiny and approaching them in an attempt to trap them and Gill running straight at Tsunami, roaring at her, biting her and clawing at her) being fought back against; AKA *self defense/defense of others* (i swear i am still talking about kinkajou, this is just important background information) There is no defense for Crocodile, and, as far as I can tell, nobody who intends to defend her. But for Fjord and Gill, they can most certainly argue that they were forced into the position of fighting to the death, which is just what they did. But it's also exactly what Tsunami and Glory were doing! Obviously, they should not be charged. Gill gets the insanity defense, but that is to protect him from heavier repercussions of what he did to Tsunami, and doesn't affect the gravity of her actions in any way, except to maybe say that since she had no way of reasoning with him, and lighten the charges on her further. For anyone who agrees with that, obviously it's because, mini TL;DR, Glory and Tsunami were very much endangered or could clearly see another dragon endangered. *Point Two* And with Kinkajou and Darkstalker, that goes a hundredfold. If Crocodile was bigger and stronger than the dragonets of destiny and used that to her advantage, Darkstalker was much worse. (don't remember the exact quote, but when he drags Qibli into the canyon, which is obviously awful in itself, he points out that he could literally rip the earring off his ear, or probably his whole ear itself) He literally had the size of someone who hadn't stopped growing for two thousand years, and the killing experience of, oh that's right, his father, however many Icewings his knife sent to the Icewing troops got, however many Icewings were killed by his barrier around the Night Kingdom and, oh, that's right, HOWEVER MANY ICEWINGS WERE KILLED IN THE ACTUAL PLAGUE HE CREATED. And unlike the others, you can't even argue that that was a war crime rather than an unprovoked crime; This one was very much unprovoked, and don't even try with the 'he *felt* like there was still war', because that's not a defense at all and you know it. So, this was not at all 'murder' but rather 'voluntary manslaughter' (I swear they're different things), and the charges for that are hugely lower than murder charges, depending on circumstance. And to my third and final point, age *Point Three* Foeslayer was completely aware of what Kinkajou intended to do, FOESLAYER, who is MUCH older and more mature than Kinkajou, not even counting the 2,000 years since she was very rarely "awake" during that period. And that is important, because she endorsed it and co-operated, despite being much older- So even if you do really think there should be charges, those charges should go to Foeslayer and Foeslayer and also Foeslayer, along with the kidnapping-of-Tsunami charges. Edit: *Point Four* I recently learnt that Darkstalker was based off Tuis' abusive ex. End of point. Edit: I have a fifth point, but it's kinda just reiterating all the other points: If killing a killer is not seen as villainy, why is changing a changer? TL;DR: Darkstalker was told what the strawberry would do and still ate it, thinking he was too powerful for it. Glory and Tsunami weren't charged so why was Kinkajou? She was very much backed into a corner. And finally, Foeslayer was the oldest and should face the brunt of the charges, which should be for voluntary manslaughter and not murder. Also Darkstalker was not meant to be redeemable as he was based off Tuis' abusive ex-boyfriend. Thanks, I rest my case :)
To your point zero, I don't believe Darkstalker was told what it would do. It seemed implied to me, but the fact that it was his own magic, and would therefore have effects differently than what was implied, seems like an important part to consider. If you were giving someone poison to eat and led them to believe it was a harmless variety that wouldn't affect them while secretly giving them a harmful variety that absolutely would, I think that would still be considered murder. In any case, I absolutely agree with the rest of your arguments here and I love the quote, "If killing a killer is not seen as villainy, why is changing a changer?" It's so good!
wow that was amazing! i still like darkstalker when he was younger and u know just happy to be w/ clearsight ( he was like that at some point right? im not delusional?)
Darkstalker, I believe, had many, many chances in life where he could turn around and start over. However, all the comments saying it was wrong for Kinkajou to take his memories and make him a baby have it all wrong. Darkstalker was at a point where, on his own, he wouldn’t be justified in ‘starting over’, not on his own. He’d nearly genocided an entire tribe of dragons he’d never even known, forced his father to disembowl himself, groomed and manipulated insecure dragons into being on his side with superpowered gifts, imprisoned a dragon into a carving, and brainwashed his girlfriend,. There is likely a few missing things in that. My point is, Kinkajou gave him the chance to start over an live in a new world. Darkstalker wasn’t going to ever start over, not by himself, he was far too arrogant for that, yet it was the best thing for him. It was also better for Foeslayer/Hope, as well, because she wouldn’t have to go through with killing her son (despite everything he did, that would be traumatic) and it gave her a chance at a happy life wiyh her kid. I’m 100% sure that when Peacemaker is a rational adult, and likely through his ‘teen’ years (like six or smth???) he will be informed that while he is a product of Darkstalker, he is no longer that dragon. He can choose to be what he wants to be.
@@kylieskousen9416 Hahaha, what a great comment! I 100% agree that Darkstalker was beyond the point of redeeming. He'd had so so SO many chances already and he'd made the wrong decision every time.
I honestly wonder how he would’ve turned out had he not had one of his powers- say he could only mind-read and see the future, or only seer/animus or telepath/animus. (Personally I’m pretty sure Animus magic won’t eat your soul, but the power-hunger gained from it will- also p sure Albatross just snapped, not ‘was good then magic turned evil’, y’know?)
@@kylieskousen9416 Counter-argument : Jerboa the 1st - they were stuff she didn't want to do with her magic or bad to do that went away more she used her magic (From having doubts to enchant an ostrich's egg to hatch a dragonet instead to enchanting without any form of remorse her daughter to be how she wants her to be) And it was after she flew her bad situation, which means she didn't have bad influence and could have gotten help
I feel like Jerboa I’s trip to insanity road had to do more with isolation and the passage of time. Also, not much was known about Jerboa’s life before, only that she was working for her queen, and was sick of it (that’s what I got out of that). I feel perhaps Jerboa I ended up being so controlling because of her freedom. She was trying so hard to control herself and magic with rules that she happened to lose track, over time, of everything. (Hence why she had to put all her baby jerboa spells on a scroll). IMO, Jerboa just completely lost track of what was considered right / wrong because of all the time she spent isolated, with literally nobody but her conscious, and a plethora of mind-controlled daughters and the occasional “friend” (slave)
Wings of fire and my little pony worked together to give high school me the weirdest edgy phase in human existence. And I will forever be grateful for it.
I personally saw dark stalkers transformation into peacemaker as giving him a new fresh start, he had truly lost his mind in his misery and I don’t think he would have been convinced to stop his genocide since they had already tried with peaceful means but he had already been stuck in his ways for such a long time that everything they said got twisted in his delusions, just like some people, some dragons are to far gone to be helped. This also gave his mother the chance to raise him better without his crazy animus fathers influence, not to mention new identities so they wouldn’t get attacked by vengeful dragons and start the chaos all over again. I like darkstalker as much as the next person but he went to far.
While I do agree Kinkajou killed Darkstalker and that he’s a way more interesting and better handled character than Peacemaker. This was my view on the situation too, after he wouldn’t even listen to his mother it was obvious there was no way to bring him back into the light at that point. His good side was still there, but after what he went through, and being stuck in that mindset for so long he would never be the same again, and even if he did change what would he do? If they took away his magic and made him be able to grow old and die then wouldn’t the Icewings or some other dragons still try to get revenge on him? And if they set him to live somewhere the icewings wouldn’t find him (remember the kingdom boarders are starting to drop) so he could live peacefully wouldn’t he just be alone forever? He would have his mom but that really isn’t much company. Yes losing your memories is terrible and he was essentially killed but keep in mind once he becomes Peacemaker, while he does still have the same he has no memory of being Darkstalker and only has the memory of being Peacemaker. In reality he is now Peacemaker. Even though Peacemaker was created and not considered a real dragon, they are two separate characters, they just share the same soul and live/lived different lives. Peacemaker is Darkstalker’s new blank slate and his chance to live a more humble, but happier life.
@@kyleighcampbell4311 I would actually really like to see them flesh out peacekeeper more, maybe have him discover the truth by accident and have to decide if he wants to return to who he was or continue his now peaceful and fulfilling life. maybe they could have ruby help him through it since she also had the same situation happen to her.
Honestly, I don't blame Kinkajou for what she did to Chameleon. He put her in a coma for months. So why not put him in one? That's my thoughts on this at least. Also Chameleon only attacked Kinkajou just because she was a Rainwing.
@@starwatcheranimations2667 Dude quite literally an eye for an eye especially when Kinkajou melted Darkstalker's eye. But idk if this relates at all :P
The Peacemaker decision has always kind of weirded me out. I mean, on the one hand, there wasn't really any other way to deal with Darkstalker; He was basically indestructible and pretty set on his ways. On the other hand, though, brainwashing Darkstalker comes off as a bit hypocritical to me...? I guess you could also argue that Kinkajou and the crew were just giving Darkstalker a taste of his own medicine, and desperate times call for desperate measures, but that still doesn't make what they did morally right... Especially since the books criticize Darkstalker and other characters for doing the same thing (Darkstalker enchanted Fireceteeth to look and act like Clearsight, Queen Scarlet and Chameleon enchanted Hailstorm to turn into Pyrite and Tourmaline into Queen Ruby, Arctic enchanted Whiteout to be "normal," etc). I hope Darkstalker gets a chance to come back like Tourmaline and Hailstorm did; That would make me feel more satisfied about his fate. Plus, I think Peacemaker eventually finding out about his past and making peace (get it?) with Darkstalker would just be really interesting to see. (I know this isn't really the point of the video, but I saw some other people discussing this in the comments and I wanted to dump my own take in lol. Also, speaking of the video, thanks for the great watch! Love your content) (Oh, and I just want to clarify that I'm NOT a Darkstalker sympathizer. Darkstalker did terrible things, and I'm glad Tui didn't try to redeem him. I just wish she would've written his defeat in a way that didn't align with his beliefs)
It was a compromise. Moon didn’t want him to die, kinkajou didn’t want him to hurt anybody and they both believed he didn’t deserve the life he went through. Why not give him a second chance? A life we wouldn’t have trauma or grief just happiness.
@@Thelizor989 that would’ve been even more miserable, darkstalker believes he can’t live without his power like that’s the only thing that makes him, him you would also never truly be happy without clear sight.
That voice acting was absolutely incredible! That and the overall theme and presentation was just a treat to watch. Though not gonna lie, I was half expecting my views on adorable lil Kinkajou to irrevocably change for the worse. Thankfully not really xD. Its interesting to tie all these pieces together about the theme of identity, but ultimately pointing to what Darkstalker was trying to do, she basically had no choice but to kill him in the self defense of others, sad as that is to say... The fact it mirrors vigilante justice makes her more like Peril in that regard, and lemme tell you I was cheering her on her to kill Scarlet. (though teasing him once Darkstalker was effectively dying is a tad rude. Makes me a little surprised he didn't try to shut off Animus magic out of spite. His powers are the one thing he covets above all else after all.) It's also a fascinating point to bring up what the legal ramifications are. It never would have crossed my mind to think about Jade Mountain Academy having the equivalent of a jury! Now all that's left to wonder is do Fatespeaker and Deathbringer get a vote on the verdict here? Mostly depends on whether Glory shoots him down... though I get the sense he'd enjoy that either way. Those two are a riot. As for the whole meaning of being dead: I think Tourmaline, Hailstorm, and Darkstalker are all essentially that patient in the ICU who's brain died. The body is still working, and as long as machinery continues telling the heart to beat, the lungs to breath, etc the body will keep going. The machinery here isn't literal though in this case, as its a separate identity entirely keeping the body going. For both Tourmaline and Hailstorm, once their old brains rebooted and had to retake control, it became a very disorienting experience for their minds as we saw. In fact its the exact same way the body can get disoriented when physical machinery is suddenly removed. For the body that disorientation sometimes is enough for the organ to quit working entirely. And as we saw with the Pyrite memories in Hailstorm, it nearly broke him. I'm honestly shocked he didn't try to steal the scroll piece back in Possibility. Darkstalker however will forever remain brain dead, his body now driven by an entirely separate entity.
I love the connection to the ICU patient here - it fits pretty much perfectly. As far as Fatespeaker and Glory hopping in on the vote, they WERE at the Academy's founding so it's quite possible. In all honesty, if they did take it to court, I think Tsunami would end up as the judge, jury, and - uhhhhhh. She is the head of the school after all and I really doubt Clay, Sunny, or Starflight would take it upon themselves to administer any punishments. Glory, on the other hand, isn't actually part of the school anymore, even if she did help found it - she's too busy being queen for not one, but two tribes already :P I'm sure Tsunami would listen to the others' input though. Fun things to think about!
@@JadeMountainArchive Tsunami rather insisted on being headmaster for sure. She'd deff be the judge and jury too! Thats our not-so-little ball of blue fury after all. Though I fervently hope she sticks to her resolve to refrain from executing dragons... I can't imagine why but theres that one scene in book 1 that seems to have changed her outlook on that. *shudders* Stick to banishing. Or I guess sinces its a school technically that'd be expulsion? And yeah Glory is a bit busy managing her tribes isn't she. Guess that also keeps away Deathbringer from the jury which saddens me slightly... Just imagine how chaotic he'd make it.
What also stands out is that in Moon Rising, Kinkajous first thoughts meeting Moonwatcher were about her “trauma”. She was traumatized by being tested on by the NightWings, so I think she wouldn’t hesitate to get at least a bit of revenge. I could kinda see her stiffen every time she met a NightWing.
I feel like I'm going to be attacked but Kinkajou is one of my least favorite characters next to Sky. But the voice acting was one point it actually sounds like how they would speak when you're reading. Keep up the good work JMA.
That’s interesting. What about them don’t you like? I personally don’t mind them as I can relate to both of them in many ways, but I’m open to hearing other opinions :)
It's true that Kinkajou made a very special visit to the Night Wing, it's possible that Darkstalker revealed a dark side that she didn't even know about. I remember that I found this ending brutal. Inteligent, but a certain form of violence. Especially the last one coming from this marvelous, adorable and always positive Kinkajou. In writing this, I remember the "the colorfull star scale? I mixed them with Rain Wings", it seems to me that she made this for a punishment AND that was fun. She says this with a chilling detachment glups.
I think the now half rainwing in darkstalker/peacemaker was like a backup plan in case something went wrong and he remembered who he was because then if he tried to kill anyone else then maybe the rainwing would kick in and he wouldn’t be able to do that and yes kinda a stretch but i can still see that happening
Guilty and hero. However, the best part of this posting is the production! Various voice actors, outstanding narration, AND analytical content. Brilliantly done. So much work and so well crafted. I would subscribe again if I could!
You this makes me curious on how many war crimes have been committed in this series. I mean certain things can be dismissed that involve a Dragon's physical characteristics like being able to breathe fire or shooting corroding toxins but dragons do still have a very similar morality to us humans so I'd think it would apply.
Something very important to remember is that Kinkajou is still under or just had the spell on her disabled, and even then she doesn’t even imply she was hesitating to create Peacemaker. Most Kinkajou fans say she wasn’t conscious when Pyrite became Hailstorm so she doesn’t know how terrible this atrocity is. But this is utter nonsense as Anemone has directly cursed her very recently. It is also worth noting that Kinkajou made Peacemaker half rainwing instead of full blooded nightwing. This makes it much harder for Hope to lie through her teeth. It’s is implied that Peacemaker is younger than a 1 year old dragonet, and the event of the volcano where roughly 6-8 months ago at this point. The disappearances are implied to have started 4-5 months before that. This makes the breathing room for a plausible lie around half a year if we assume dragon go through pregnancy at the speed of humans. We know dragons have eggs for about a year before they hatch so 18 months at most. The narrative that hope hid in the rainforest at the peak of nightwing activity there is flimsy, and before someone points of Moon she’s a seer and telepath and Secretkeeper is aware of the mind reading. They probably used it multiple times to escape. If Peace was full blooded Hope can easily say that they hid in the mountains that kept she or a false family hidden and their records where lost in a cave in or eruption . Kinkajou made Peace and Hope living a good life the hardest thing imaginable in the long term all because the R word you can’t say on UA-cam. I can go into more detail on this situation but I’m already being to specific. Not to mention that there is no way Hope would go along with this in a couple of minutes without mind control, and since she doesn’t have an earring that’s pretty easy because the remains of the scroll has multiple pierces not just one. I could have said that better but I’m getting more triggered the longer I type so I am going to cut this short for now.
One thing I've always wondered was whether or not you can simply write over a part of the scroll that's already been written on because, if so, Darkstalker's animus magic is still very much accessible in Pyrrhia in the form of the scraps Kinkajou wrote on.
@@JadeMountainArchive honestly probably and given the fact that the bowl exists if she has on empty piece she has infinite power honestly even if kinkajou isn’t evil now she almost certainly would be in a few years similar the darkstalkers power corruption after all she could make herself the only animus who can cast.
@@ryanthegamer4455 I'm definitely on Kinkajous' side, BUT you have given me the perfect idea for a villain arc, which is the most fun to write, so ty! Also agree on Kinkajou making it hard for Foeslayer to lie (If you don't mind me using the bowl idea, I 99% probably won't publish it but in theory would that be OK with you?)
Fun video! All "trial" shenanigans aside: I think Kinkajou had arguably the single greatest character arc of anyone who never got to be a perspective character in the book series. She went from a happy-go-lucky dragon who wouldn't hurt a fly to someone who managed to bring the closest thing to a dragon god to heel through cleverness and resourcefulness alone. She also highlights a very clever and interesting bit of *CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT* that occurred that actually makes the school *itself* critical: She couldn't really read or write very well before the Jade Mountain Arc, but she learns enough to write a spell (albeit with some help) to arguably save more lives than any other dragon in the history of Pyrrhia.
An interesting point about the reading! Personally, I liked Ruby's development even more but I'll agree that Kinkajou made some big changes from her intro in book 3!
Turning Darkstalker into a dragonet was wrong. First, taking away his animus magic, letting him choose the right path over time, and guiding him to become better, is what Moon could have done instead. I either wanted to see Darkstalker die, if he still went on with his bad ways, because of everything he did, and more specifically, because of what he did to his father, Arctic, or, I wanted to see him choose the right path _himself_ , after he realized his wrong actions. Turning Darkstalker into Peacemaker just felt so wrong. No matter how evil someone is, they still have the right to have all their memories. Darkstalker had feelings too. He'd have bad memories, yes. But he'd also have had the good ones, like his time with Foeslayer and Whiteout. To be honest, there's still a tiny bit of me left that wants to believe Darkstalker could have changed. I think....the key to his good side, is by seeing his loved ones unhappy about his actions. For example, Whiteout. After Darkstalker murdered Arctic, he was described to have seen his sister crying. Then, he felt 'a stab of guilt'. However, that emotion was just there for a second, before it was covered by his 'justifiable thoughts'. I know you might counter this statement by saying, 'What about with Clearsight?'. Yes. Darkstalker knew perfectly well that Clearsight disapproved completely of his actions, yet he still continued to ignore her, and went on with his ways. You may also counter my previous statement by asking about Foeslayer. Foeslayer tried as well, at the end of DoD to convince Darkstalker, however, even though it was his own mother telling him so, he disregarded her words, and ate the strawberry out of ego and overconfidence. However, there HAD to be someway to change him, wasn't there? I don't know, especially when it comes to such a complicated and tough-to-convince character. Overall, the ending of Darkness of Dragons just felt so rushed and uneven to me....
I didn't really like the ending of Darkness of Dragons either, it just felt a little cheap, I don't understand why some people say it's their favorite ending to an arc. Though I don't think Moon actually had a say in the matter, she had a vision about Darkstalker changing after eating that strawberry but Kinkajou was the one who erased his memories.
@@CloverCelest Yeah you're right....Kinkajou acted foolishly because she thought she was 'saving the world', but I still think Moon could have atleast tried to figure out another way with Kinkajou.
@@dragonyz Well, she saved a lot of dragons' lives at least, just not in the best way possible. I do agree that if she consulted her friends, especially Moon about what exactly she was going to do that they could have reached a better conclusion.
This was the thing about arc 2 I hated the most. Like this is the type of stuff that Darkstalker did all the time and he was depicted as villain, rightfully so, for doing so. But kinkajou does it and no one has anything to say about it. It throws the entire lesson of why Darkstalker was right out the window because obviously it is alright to do those things as long as “I’m the good guy” or “I’m right”.
She didn’t commit genocide. He did. He’s an adult. She’s a child. She did it to save every dragon on the continent. He wasn’t saving anyone even if that was his intention. Plus she was saving more dragons and killing less dragons than him. There’s a massive difference
@@elfi643 I’m not sure about the adult part-he was only five years old when Clearsight put him to sleep. And it doesn’t matter if Kinkajou is a child-she has shown she can process emotions and make mature decisions, it’s not like she’d just stare blankly at you if you tried to explain why something is wrong.
@@lightofthefandoms6496 I don’t understand this conversation, but, wasn’t Darkstalker 6? Bc on the internet it says he’s 2,006yrs old in book 6 Moon Rising. Pls don’t fight over this
Nice conversation guys, all good points. But back to og comment, I don’t see Darskstalker as a villain. Sure he did bad things, and sure he did the classic villain thing of ‘it’s for the greater good’ and whatever, so clearly he’s a villain, but in my eyes, and after much going through his actions, research, re-reading and checking out other villains to compare, I came to the conclusion that… I like villains better than heroes and therefore think they are always right •v• Yes that includes Queen Scarlet. And Burn (I think she counts) And Blister. Also Queen Wasp. The one exception for me is Cottonmouth. He was annoying and snotty and self entitled. Thank you for reading XD
@@silverleaf856 Actually, I think you’re right-because Clearsight turned 5 and Darkstalker has been stated to be a year older than her. But even if Darkstalker is old enough to be considered an adult, he still has the mentality of a 6 year old when he woke up.
I agree with the verdict, though that spell was done with Darkstalker’s magic, and there are a lot of earrings that undo any spell darkstalker casts. It’s entirely possible that he comes back, just with a newfound voice of compassion on his shoulder sort of like Halestorm had an identity crisis.
well- you see, the author of dragon book series has stated that those certain magical earrings wold turn Peacemaker into some Blister's-death style dust... but we're not gonna mention that...
@@StrawThatBends because it would cancel out his immortality spell and time would catch up? Also, could that mean peacemaker is still basically immortal?
Your honor, we shouldn’t forget that Kinkajou, in the 1st arch, has killed a nightwing after she was captured and imprisoned by then. Although, I would count that down as self defense. But she DID drop a chunk of rock on Chameleon’s head EVEN after Qibli took away his powers in form of the scroll. And I would say that turning Darkstalker, against his will, into a rainwing/nightwing dragonet against his will and taking away his memories should be illegal.
Darkstalker end was way worse thant death. If you die, just RIP, you lived your life until the end, but transforming into another being is like a eternal taunt to your essence trapped in non-existence and replaced by a made up personality and form. (fr they even removed his half icewing genes, i don't know how Foeslayer could be ok with that deal)
Again, wonderful work here. I was gonna ask to audition but my voice was destroyed and scratchy, and I didn't have discord... :( Well, even still, the work was wonderful. And I hope to see more from this channel for years to come!
@@wildmewashere It's just a server I set up to coordinate voice-acting for the videos. As far as a channel open to the public goes... well, keep your eyes out ;)
What kinkajou did was pretty bad, I agree. She erased his personality and made him into a smol chil'. To be honest, I don't feel super bad for darkstalker. He was evil and manipulative, even if it was just the animus magic getting to his head. Lots of people disapprove of what kinkajou did. But what would you have done? Comment below how you would stop darkstalker.
1. Have peril melt his brain. 2. Make it so the spears that hailstorm and winter used be enchanted by diamond to be capable of killing anyone of dark stalkers bloodline including Immortals. Because Darkstalker didn’t make his magic immunity yet the older spell wins. 3. Have Snowfall beat the crap of out Darkstalker with the tiara and if that doesn’t causing fatal internal damage using the the utter wind pressure or just throw things to cause severe concussion, internals bleeding, bone breaks, and all the other things that would happen. I could probably come up with a few more but you get the point by now.
@@ryanthegamer4455 1. I doubt it will works seeing the invincibility spell - I mean, Peril's firescales only worked on Clay where he was bite by the viper and so probably had a hole in his fireproof's scales 2. I don't think Winter talked about the spear and the specific of the Diamond Trials. Heck, I even doubt he talked about what happened in the Ice Kingdom - he's not the type to talk. Since he wasn't with them there, how would they know? And I doubt Foeslayer would have bring it up seeing how she was the victim of it. Plus, it would be the sleeping bracelet all over again - just delaying his plans. 3. It... Welp, it could have work, maybe, but I doubt they will have convince Snowfall to help back then. Or that, after the empathy's spell and how she felt afterward (that all of her kingdom hated her and will jump on any occasion to choose a new queen, which her paranoia made the feeling worse) she probably won't have risked it. If it happened after arc 3, she would. But it was before ^^
@@cookie856 Kinkajou melted Darkstalker’s eye if peril got to the brain darkstalker couldn’t regenerate. The only possible rebound for dark stalker is the cast a spell from someone else’s brain but that’s a huge stretch. (Every time peril and clay make physical contact just look at moon rising clay makes something similar to a slight wince.) 2. The spears are a gift or ceremonial object they unfreeze Foeslayer Diamond clearly enchanted them. She could make it so the crown gives information to queens if Darkstalker ever returned or flat out put it in the vault. Snowfall would give them to Hailstorm because he used them in the trial. Hailstorm would give one to Winter. When Darkstalker gets frozen, Anemone casts some spells that buries him, and she makes the rock that surrounds him is unbending and unbreakable. 3. The ice wings are confronting a god and things like the gift of sustenance are the method lower level icewings use to get food. The gifts are known to the public. Snowfall also is grieving her mother’s death and Crystals disappearance. I doubt she will think straight.
@@cookie856 you are trying to be cheeky with wordplay here so I’m going to give you a very obvious answer you probably weren’t expecting. The wall is animus enchanted and was central in Icewing military defense for 20 years. The gift of light Is what everyone goes to when they enter the palace. That is made clear on winter turning page 245. Everyone in the entire Icewing population is wearing an enchanted earring. The knowledge that queen thorn has magic objects, Anemone the Seawing princess is an animus, that Icewings have dozens of gifts, that Scarlet was using dreamvisitors, and that Blister was killed by the Eye Of Onyx are all known information. Snowfall can flat out lie, she can tell the truth, or ask someone else to lie for her. There could be outrage, but I have a feeling a lot of people would accept a lie if it Meant the safety of their species.
When my sister first read the books, she jokingly described the scene where Kinkajou knocks out Chameleon as "Her first murder" It took every ounce of willpower I had to not say it wouldn't be her last
Now this is an interesting theory/ take on this, I absolutely love your videos man and can’t wait for the next, I was also thinking you could do a video on the unique tribe traditions that they have and how they might have come to be, Ex. @@horizontreasures7701 hey, I’m glad you liked my comment and I have to agree with mudwings being one of the better tribes, but I do have questions for them like for example how does royal succession work since the adults don’t take any interest in having anything to do with there kids? So how would one make a claim for the throne? And also as we saw in the 5th book with the mudwing Queen seemed to have her siblings with her at all times just like the rest of the mudwings so would would it just be the Queen vs the challenger or sub unit vs sib unit? Let me know if you have any thoughts and this would also be something cool for jade mountain to go through in a video
@@brettborder854 ya! It would be pretty cool if we saw two sib units fight for the throne, that would be really cool for tui to put in a future book. And when it comes to who challenges the queen I like to think that anybody could challenge the her for the throne, but They would have to be at a certain age and meet certain requirements. And that’s only if the queen excepts the challenge in the first place. There could also be a chance that the queens eggs are put in a special nest or hatchery. So they can keep track over which dragonets are hers.
I’m probably going to sound like a maniac by saying this, but I think maybe if they took away his memories besides the good ones-then he wouldn’t kill other dragons? It’s a risk though.Because nobody said another dragon remembers what he did and could tell him his memories all over again. But I don’t know.I still think turning him into a dragonet with no memories of their past life is still classified as killing. But I’m not persuasive or anything so I’ll let others say whether she’s innocent or not.
Your PHILOSOPHY session teaches and asks bigger and more expanded questions than my teacher's philosophy sessions teach- which is barely anything XD. Your video has actually made things soooo deep, like its like you have the power to just think nonstop....which is really cool
The finales after The Brightest Night felt very lackluster. TBN had great plot and pacing, as well as a very satisfying feeling. DoD felt fillers in the first part and the finale felt rushed with Darkstalker’s ultimate fate. Spoilers below: TFoH suffered from slow second part and fathering boring third part, as well as disappointing villains in Wasp and Cottonmouth, but I felt Freedom was pretty good. But it felt like the epilogue was too short, and not enough was answered for to feel satisfying. For example, what happened to Sequoia? Is Hazel still queen? And of course there are still the fates of several characters that are yet to be explored, such as Sora, Umber, and Chameleon.
i hate the fact that we got to see the final battle with wasp only in freaking spectator mode through Luna, to see characters we know better, which was kinda disspointing imo-
I just like how people go really deep with what they claim about a show or book or character, some people just put it out with evidence to back it up that I can easily deny, may I also ask who voiced the characters in this video? You don’t have to answer, just wondering where or who did it.

Man, I am so glad I found good quality videos dedicated to one of my favorite book series, but GODDAMMIT I'VE ONLY JUST FINISHED THE 8TH BOOK AND I CAN'T WATCH ANYTHING WITHOUT GETTING MASSIVE SPOILERS. so, uhhh, I hear the 6th graphic novel is coming in december! thats fun.
Honestly never thought of it like that I just thought she did what had to be done to save everyone from darkstalker. But apparently now it is a court case. Good video
One really terrifying fact that most people overlook when the peacemaker conundrum is brought up is that there are god knows how many earrings floating around that negate darkstalkers magic, witch by itself on paper seems like it just equates to a poor peacemaker putting one on and then cosplaying as dust, expect here lies the problem. The spell, while set to trigger on the dragon that ate it,is revocable, and permanently so, since the spell didn't say it was permanent, and ran it's course with it being eaten, another problem with the non immortal Darkstalker turning to dust is the issue with immorality. Darkstalker made himself immortal, not undieing, most people forget the difference here, but for reference a zombie is undieing, you can disintegrate it but it still won't technically be dead, Darkstalker made himself immortal, meaning it's as if he was hooked up to a charger that whole time, like a phone, its plugged in,so it's immortal, when the earring cuases Darkstalker to lose that immortality it's not like mother gothi from Disney's tangled,it's like unplugging a phone, the battery just finally gets to wind down, but since Darkstalker was dead by all intents and purposes dureing jerboas anti Animus spell, when he returns, he'll still have his magic. TL;DR: kill Peacemaker and bury him under a mountain before some idiots give him one of the many earrings and sets everyone on a one way track to eternal dictatorship set to expire only when the Eldrazi arrive.
The "Peacemaker puts on an earring and Darkstalker returns" plotline is my personal favorite. I don't think it's going to happen but it would be so much fun.
Darkstalker put an enchantment on himself that grants himself immunity to other dragon's animus magic, thus the earing would have no effect, as his magic immunity was not removed as far as I can tell.
I guess kinkajou didn’t need to change darkstalker into peacemaker, but it was probably better because of what he’d done. He literally murdered his own father. I guess this is just a matter of opinion, but I don’t think of her as a murderer, she’s just a dragonet.
I guess i have the unpopular opinion here; but the dragons had no other choice then to completely reset darkstalker. If they took away his magic, he'd still have his previously casted spells. If they took away his spells, the nightwing tribe would still follow him. Most of them did not want to be ruled by Glory. And either way, Darkstalker has charisma. A LOT of charisma. He would be able to get a lot of dragons on his side to do who knows what. I cant think of any other way they could have stopped Darkstalker without morally 'killing' him. I'm really forgetful, when did she drop a brick on Chameleon's head? I personally think it's not right to kill any one in any situation, but chameleon helped/caused the deaths of tons of dragon. Especially by helping Vulture. I'd say it's a little unfair to judge Kinkajou; but if it weren't for sun time making her happier she'd probably be a pretty evil dragon. Idk im just dumping my opinions on the internet
Hello Jade! I haven’t commented in a while. How have you been? Also your so close to 10k! I remember when you weren’t even at 1K. Anyway, I hope you’ve been having a nice day ^^
I don't like kinkajou mainly because she took offense to an immortal unkilling all powerful dragon for seeing what she was to him, not a threat, was kinda racist towards Nightwings and was hypocritically changing aspects of Darkstalker. She could have forced him to loose him magick and immortality but choose not to.
My opinion is that she is guilty of one thing: turning Darkstalker into Peacemaker (which isn't killing him, by the way, it's just brainwashing him). She acted like a hypocrite in that situation and was treated as a hero for it. I don't understand how someone can do something so wrong and have everyone agree that it was right. Kinkajou should be punished in some way. How? My opinion is having the same spell she put on Darkstalker put on her, but for a limited time (5 years?), as well as give Peacemaker his memories back when he turns a certain age (6 years old?). Either way, this is just my opinion.
I agree with the spell being put on kinkathchu but for a limited time, but five years in my opinion is a lot. The same thing was done to Hailstorm and look how that turned out. I think maybe it could be for a smaller time (2 or so years). Also I think giving peacemaker his memories back would be great, but maybe six is to young. And I think that he should regain the memories of who he was, but some should be left out. As it is, the memories are what make someone themselves. Giving peacemaker Darkstalkers memories would be to revive him in a way. I think those memories should be told to him verbally instead of them being brought back in horrid detail. Just my thoughts in the matter
@@oatmealdoodles I agree with giving Kinkajou 2 years instead of five, but Peacemaker should have all his memories, but be given the choice of having the bad ones or not after they're given back.
Someone I know actually did a short (twenty seconds long) video on the idea of Peacemaker getting his memories back, and, well... I don't think I'd wish that on anyone. Breaks my heart every time I see it: ua-cam.com/video/n9GQnFs1UOk/v-deo.html
I shall take this knowledge and use it wisely to drag my friends into a long winded conversation about wings of fire (a series the haven't read it just me talking endlessly about it)
In my opinion it wasn't so much a murder because she only took away traits that prevented other murders. Therefore she is definitely a hero and not so much a murder and if she is a murderer then she murdered for heroic cause for the for the lives of other dragons.
If you're talking about the arc 1 cover characters side by side, I edited it myself (based on another edit I found where they were together, but out of order). If you're talking about the Icewing dying with red in the background - that's an image from the graphic novels where Fjord dies. There's a voice bubble in the original, but I edited it out and drew in some new blood splatters.
Kinkajou definitely should be held accountable, but I also feel like Darkstalker would have basically killed all the Icewings and brainwashed all the other dragons on Pyrrhia if he could. Regardless Kinkajou is secretly evil in my opinion, maybe because shes like my 4th least favorite character and Darkstalker is one of my favorites.
This is E;IC. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MAKING VIDS LIKE THIS. I LISTEN TO WOF audio books and this is my all time favorite literature. Tho I always wondered how a Freedom Annalisis we b like. Oh my goodness! You're totally right - thank you for pointing that out. I can't believe I missed that one, they're my favorite WoF artist. It should be updated now!
I read alot of comments, kinkajou saying things like "I owe that dragon a few broken bones and a coma!" Then dropping a brick wall into Chameleon’s skull- like jeez. I wanted to make fanart of Kinkajou being evil already, Not that she is evil or a murderer, but it turns out to do this i dont even need to make an AU. Woah another reason I think she has a screw loose or something like that is because she is jealous of glory, who just walked in then was crowned, (in kinkajous pov) So, yeah tui could make her a potential villian that'd be fun to see and a great arc infact.
i think kinkajou is a case of fighting fire with the scorching or fighting a splash of water with a tsunami, darkstalker was stripped of everything and essentially, killed just the physical husk of his leftovers being something else, the real question is how foeslayer is so calm, seeing her son but slightly different with a whole nother personality, knowing she trapped his soul in a husk of his real self, tbh foeslayer is starting to seem a bit, at least kill him with his own magic like just write down i enchant darkstalker to be stripped of his imortality or something or i enchant darkstalker to die, also then they could show that darkstalker is dead
Kinkajou is such a great character and now I get this pressure it feels like. Darkstalker is my second favorite character and I just wish that Kinkajou didn't kill him. Edit: I start to get off topic here sorry lol Did I know he had to be defeated? Yes. But honestly I would have preferred he just died instead of turning into peacemaker, I honestly just see Peacemaker as a cover up for Darkstalker and not a real dragon. Darkstalker only did what he saw as best in his eyes. Yes those decisions were very questionable at parts though... Edit: finally back ontopic? I do think that Kinkajou killed him but I don't think she should be guilty because he would have found a way to wipe out the Icewings and made himself king of Pyhirra. So not guilty
I know this video is supposed to be about Kinkajou, but I loved your tangent on life or death. When Tourmaline was turned into Ruby, did Ruby remember being Tourmaline? Same with Hailstorm and Pyrite. Following your logic, did Tourmaline and Hailstorm actually DIE for a time before they were brought back to their original selves? And yes I mean die physically-dying isn’t just the heart and brain stopping and everything, but if you don’t remember who you are, you’ll think you’ll someone else, and the person you were is dead to you. Of course you wouldn’t even know whether they were dead or alive because you WERE them, but never knew. And for Darkstalker/Peacemaker, when Peacemaker appeared, Darkstalker was gone. His memories-his consciousness was a blank slate to his new life as Peacemaker. What about Darkstalker? If he technically died, even without his body, is he even in an afterlife? Does he share a conscious with Peacemaker? Is he secretly watching, feeling his body moving and thinking and can’t do anything to stop, even if he wanted to? His body changed-along with his mind, so technically, Darkstalker is no more. There is no other all powerful animus thrice-moon born NightWing who was the son of Foeslayer and Arctic, the brother of Whiteout, the soulmate of Clearsight, the one who committed bad decision after bad decision. There has and never will be Darkstalker. He’s literally gone. He doesn’t even have memories. Did he even go to the afterlife, if his entire heart, mind, and soul is inside of Peacemaker now? Darkstalker is dead, from that statement. His body, is no longer breathing. Peacemaker‘s is. His ambitions, goals, and passions no longer exist. He will never be able to experience anything else in the world as himself. He can only experience it through Peacemaker-IF Darkstalker himself can process anything now. Darkstalker, with his memories and everything, or rather lack thereof, won’t be able to comprehend anything else as himself anymore. The warmth of a hug, laughter at a stupid joke, his relationship with his friends and family before it all went south. No one, NO ONE, will ever be able to truly understand what Darkstalker went through. Why? Because they’re not him. No one else will ever be him. They won’t be able to be in his body, have his memories and thought process and twisted future understood through their own heads. Sure, maybe a telepath could understand the length of them, but they themselves will not truly be him. They can only sit and observe. Even if they understand his morals and memories, their own morals and memories will take over and question them. Even if you enchanted something to be him, which is impossible cause animus magic is officially gone, it won’t be him. It’ll be a version of him. A complete copy of him, maybe, but the real him came first. Kinkajou clearly didn’t think about the long term effects of the spell. Not that I blame her, I’d easily get caught in the heat of the moment, but that doesn’t mean that the possibility of thinking of the consequences doesn’t exist. Or perhaps she DID think of the consequences, but did it anyways. Which is even more terrible in my personal opinion.
Hehehe, you've discovered my secret - this video was actually just an exploration of the themes of identity in the books but I wanted to add a little excitement so it was framed in terms of a court case around Kinkajou's decision. But I agree - it really really does raise some super interesting questions about what it even means to be alive in the first place!
In defence of Kinkajou, she was saving the world. It’s equivalent of Harry Potter destroying Voldemort at the end of the series, yet it is not considers ‘murder’ by most people. So I think Kinkajou should just walk free in all honesty
Well said, people act like darkstalker needed a “””second chance”””” which literally infuriates me because he was a MURDER, and because the fans obsess over him so much they think of him being turned into another dragon (which is what he’s done himself) as hypocritical rather than poetic or the sense of getting a taste of his own medicine
Darkstalker is a character who had the rare chance of changing his ways and (by extenction) the future generations of Dragons all over the world for centuries to come, he even had a chance right before he fell asleep and finally got what was staring him in the face for years. But no one deserves that, I would love to see him reformed or in Heaven, living with Clearsight, maybe Tui should bring him back?
You forgot to metoin how long it took Hailstorm to recover from being Pyrite- even if Darkstalker turns back he'll take pretty much as longer as Hailstorm

Kinkajou had her reason for her villainy/heroism, she did it to save Pyrrhia. Yes some of the things she has done was unnecessary (like for instance when Turtle violently bashed Chameleon over the nose) like that time when Kinkajou had knocked Chameleon out with a brick. I do say her reason for that was reasonable (as well as for Turtle). She her that vengeful moment. When Kinkajou was escaping the Secret Night Kingdom with Glory. She shot magical death spit at a nightwing who had pinned Glory to the floor, but this reason was for helping/saving Glory. Kinkajou had felt very guilt shortly afterwards, proving that Kinkajou has some vengeance in her blood. How she 'killed' Darkstalker, was very necessary. In 'killing' Darkstalker, she had saved Pyrrhia. But other than all of that. I am voting Heroically NOT Guilty.
I feel like kinkajou is a murderer, cause hear me out, she killed darkstalker but taking his memories, and they are under the jade mountain and in book 6 clay says something about no violence in the school after breaking up a fight, and tsunami, glory, and starflight all killed in defense for others OUTSIDE jade mountain, so I accuse, kinkajou the rainwing, guilty for the murder of darkstalker the ice-night wing, and sentence her to 4yrs in rainwing prison. Thank you for your time to read all this and pls understand this is my opinion, and I respect it if yours is different.
Let’s not forget that Kinkajou dropped an entire chunk of a brick wall onto Chameleon’s skull, even though Qibli already had him immobilized and stripped of animus tools where there was absolutely no need to further attack him.
And right before the encounter, Kinkajou said “I owe that dragon a few broken bones and a coma!”
She’s not a murderer, but she certainly has a burning vengeance in her.
After watching this video, I realized that Kinkajou has turned into Scarlet AND Darkstalker! DOES EVERYONE FORGET ABOUT HAILSTORM/PYRITE!!!
@@Fritzafella I'd love a POV book for my favorite non main character.

She’s just SO MUCH ENERGY.
WHAT LOVE SPELL!?
Ok but like , I can completely reason with what they did to DarkStalker. Though I admit Kinkajou is a bit over the top with some things she does.
Ok now that's freaky.
Truuuueeeee
Fr, I hate Kestrel
He got sold for cows, was trapped under a mountain, almost “died”by trying to escape, scarlets arena, sea wing palace, almost died again but because I think of snake, injured leg forever, and I almost forgot pretty sure one of his siblings were killed so yeah that’s all I know rn he be sad man
*In Kinkajous' Defense*
(don't worry, i did put a tldr)
*Point Zero* Honestly, I really see some of what people are saying, ESPECIALLY with the Ruby/Tourmaline but I feel like some people are forgetting that Kinkajou didn't forcefeed Darkstalker the strawberry or anything. He ate it himself, saying it wouldn't affect him. (Unfortunately I don't have Darkstalker Legends on me, but if anyone can reference the actual paragraph stating that he was made to eat it, I will place my vote on criminal charges to whoever did this.)
*Point One* And, like, yeah, as was said; Glory killed Fjord and Crocodile and that's not murder.
This is, by all means, someone who is intentionally causing harm or moments away from doing as such (hence Fjord breathing frostbreath on Clays' wing, Crocodile threatening the dragonets of destiny and approaching them in an attempt to trap them and Gill running straight at Tsunami, roaring at her, biting her and clawing at her) being fought back against; AKA *self defense/defense of others*
(i swear i am still talking about kinkajou, this is just important background information)
There is no defense for Crocodile, and, as far as I can tell, nobody who intends to defend her.
And to my third and final point, age
*Point Three* Foeslayer was completely aware of what Kinkajou intended to do, FOESLAYER, who is MUCH older and more mature than Kinkajou, not even counting the 2,000 years since she was very rarely "awake" during that period.
I agree, but wow, to learn that the Fandoms favorite character was based off the author's abusive ex is quite a new thing to learn
May I use your essay as my essay for english? It is long enough for it.
My brain words, words of my head!
Now i gotta watch the video
@@kylieskousen9416 Counter-argument : Jerboa the 1st - they were stuff she didn't want to do with her magic or bad to do that went away more she used her magic (From having doubts to enchant an ostrich's egg to hatch a dragonet instead to enchanting without any form of remorse her daughter to be how she wants her to be)
And it was after she flew her bad situation, which means she didn't have bad influence and could have gotten help

It’s a little vengeful, but absolutely understandable coming from her point of view

Love your content)
(Oh, and I just want to clarify that I'm NOT a Darkstalker sympathizer. Darkstalker did terrible things, and I'm glad Tui didn't try to redeem him. I just wish she would've written his defeat in a way that didn't align with his beliefs)

@@Thelizor989 Eh, I don't really know how I'd feel about a tiny hatchling with the brain of Darkstalker running around...
@@randomperson-kx6mv That honestly sounds kinda funny
His powers are the one thing he covets above all else after all.)
It's also a fascinating point to bring up what the legal ramifications are.
*shudders*
Stick to banishing. Or I guess sinces its a school technically that'd be expulsion?
And yeah Glory is a bit busy managing her tribes isn't she. Guess that also keeps away Deathbringer from the jury which saddens me slightly... Just imagine how chaotic he'd make it.
I agree the voice acting was brilliant! My only question was why turtle had to be British.

You this makes me curious on how many war crimes have been committed in this series. wowc, definitely wings of war crimes.

Fun video! All "trial" shenanigans aside:
I think Kinkajou had arguably the single greatest character arc of anyone who never got to be a perspective character in the book series.

@@ryanthegamer4455
1. I doubt it will works seeing the invincibility spell - I mean, Peril's firescales only worked on Clay where he was bite by the viper and so probably had a hole in his fireproof's scales
(Every time peril and clay make physical contact just look at moon rising clay makes something similar to a slight wince.)
@@ryanthegamer4455 The gift in the secret tresorery only a queen and her daughterd known by all the icewings? Hmm?

So how would one make a claim for the throne? The finales after The Brightest Night felt very lackluster. TBN had great plot and pacing, as well as a very satisfying feeling. DoD felt fillers in the first part and the finale felt rushed with Darkstalker’s ultimate fate. Spoilers below:
TFoH suffered from slow second part and fathering boring third part, as well as disappointing villains in Wasp and Cottonmouth, but I felt Freedom was pretty good.

Kinkajou killed Darkstalker and you cannot change my mind!!!
The analysis of identity was so interesting! I love how you talk about the themes in depth.
There's so much to talk about with them!
I guess kinkajou didn’t need to change darkstalker into peacemaker, but it was probably better because of what he’d done. He literally murdered his own father. I guess this is just a matter of opinion, but I don’t think of her as a murderer, she’s just a dragonet.
I feel like ever since she left the rain forest she became just a *LITTTTTLE* bit evil
The fact that I was watching a add about strawberries makes this 10× funnier💀💀💀🍓🍓🍓🍓

Doing good :) Also, 10k lets goooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Turns out it wasn’t Kinkajou who gave Darkstalker the strawberry, it was Foeslayer his mom.
I feel like Kinkajou is justified. It's like killing a murderer. Hypocritical sure, but necessary to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I would argue it isn't even hypocritical if the reason for killing the murderer is to prevent future murders. And I agree - Kinkajou should walk free!
Giving Darkstalker his memories back would be very, very bold hahaha
@@oatmealdoodles I agree with giving Kinkajou 2 years instead of five, but Peacemaker should have all his memories, but be given the choice of having the bad ones or not after they're given back.

A happy Kinkajou is the happiest dragon in pyrrhia. An angry Kinkajou is the angriest dragon in pyrrhia
In my opinion it wasn't so much a murder because she only took away traits that prevented other murders. Therefore she is definitely a hero and not so much a murder and if she is a murderer then she murdered for heroic cause for the for the lives of other dragons.

I am telling you all to go to the parts of the video where Chameleon's quotes are read. Do that, then laugh. Do it.
i think kinkajou is a case of fighting fire with the scorching or fighting a splash of water with a tsunami, darkstalker was stripped of everything and essentially, killed just the physical husk of his leftovers being something else, the real question is how foeslayer is so calm, seeing her son but slightly different with a whole nother personality, knowing she trapped his soul in a husk of his real self, tbh foeslayer is starting to seem a bit, at least kill him with his own magic like just write down
i enchant darkstalker to be stripped of his imortality or something or i enchant darkstalker to die, also then they could show that darkstalker is dead
Kinkajou is such a great character and now I get this pressure it feels like. Darkstalker is my second favorite character and I just wish that Kinkajou didn't kill him.
Edit: I start to get off topic here sorry lol
Did I know he had to be defeated?
Tbf, Darkstalker has the mindset of a child too
also, what about that nightwing guard kinkjou magical death spat to the back of the head?
