The Law It is illegal to trap and catch Signal crayfish without a license from the Environment Agency. Unfortunately, the native and American crayfish are extremely difficult to tell apart so where it is thought that native species are present, it is unlikely that a license will be granted for trapping.

it wasn't us who put the trap in. terri pulled it out and doesn't know about the fishing laws as we don't fish for those sort of things but thanks for your comment

It's a security device that fits onto the neck of a bottle of spirits. Normally the tag is removed at the checkout.
It's designed to set off the alarms at the exit if it passes through the sensors near the doors.👍
