- What are the safest places to live and work in England? If you’re going to England for any reason other than vacation and social visits, you need to watch this video and share it with others with the same plan. Because it’s a place you want to live and work, you should be particular about how safe England is. We’re set to highlight the 10 safest places to live and work in England here.
We will be looking at places you can live and be able to give in your best at work, not the place that will have a negative effect on your productivity. Thus, to determine the safest places to live and work in England, we look at what the most reliable data sets say about fatal accidents in the workplace, reported mental and physical health situations, crime levels in the neighborhood, rates of absenteeism, and death.
Here is our objective finding rate for every 1000 residents.
10. Warrington
Let’s take off from Warrington, the largest town in Cheshire, in our search for the safest places to live and work in England. On the banks of the River Mersey, the town is 20 miles east of Liverpool and 16 miles west of Manchester. The unitary authority area had as far back as the Middle Ages emerged as a market town.
Just 30 minutes away from two international airports, the city with low crime rates is known for its affordable housing and nice transport links. Taking the issue of crime further, the town recorded only 26 not-so-violent crimes among 1000 residents last year. The rate of work-related injury was even lower at 18 while mental health and sickness rates were 13 and 86 respectively. Surely, Warrington deserves serious consideration by anyone planning to live in England to work.
9. Bristol

#England
Bath is a gorgeous city too
I'm originally from Manchester, born and bred. Lived abroad on and off throughout my childhood. Moved to London when I was 16. Lived here ever since and have to say those days were the best. London was so nice. The people were friendly, life was great. Decades later it's full of crime, scared to go out, scared to let your children out fear that they won't come home...not good at all. I'd love to live in the countryside and have animals around me and lots of fields. My husband and I are at the age where we want a peaceful life and feel the country would give it to us. But this video has shown some lovely places to live. Thanks for sharing 😘
Not sure what part of London you were in all those years ago.
@@george4vIogging probably the part you can't afford to live in
one word ..immigration
@@george4vIogging what do you mean 🤔 and I'm still living in London
@@denises9680
What part of London?
I was taking these vids witha pinch of salt until he mentioned London & then Slough. **** Me. London, Slough & Swindon. U have to be kidding. The best bit of Slough is the A4 that connects to the M4 & get the **** out of Slough.
I can confirm for Derby. Wow what a nice City with friendly population. I love that place
same man
Oddly seems safer in the evening - nightlife won a purple flag award or whatever it's called. .
Norwich is a very good city to live in. Not too expensive and low crime rate.
Thanks, from India....i lived in N. Wales & London for some 7 yrs and loved every corner of UK.....friendliest of all the European nations...always love ur videos, they bring back fond memories 🙏🏼🙏🏼
Most Welcome. Visit Southall next time !
I did, many a times, the sikh eateries , and also Hounslow too
When???
Bath, Norwich, Gloucester, Bristol, Exeter, York, Hull, Salisbury and many other cities have good records of safe working. Whilst other cities and towns have problems with anti-social behaviour, burglary, thefts and many more.
I would also like to hear your thoughts on Nottingham, Andrew.
👍 interesting. Thanks.
I am a retired science teacher in Malaysia. Use to do my masters in Falmer Brighton. Lewes is the best place to live. Did part time supply teaching science and biology all over sussex from littlehampton to bexhill. Had a lovely time. Have visited UK 2 times since. Lewes is like a second home and would like to visit it again. Cheers
I was actually born in Swindon, Number 1 on the list of the 10 Safest Places to Live and Work in England, even though there was worse to come.
Portsmouth is 19 miles South-East of Southampton whereas Southampton is 15 miles West of Portsmouth if this video is to be believed ... there must be some strange goings on in the twilight-zone between the two!!
This is an eyeopener. Kudos 👍
I am sensing that someone just blindly stabbed a few pins in the map! 😆
Very nice
Derby bloody hell you would‘t think so with the cop shows they put on lol.
Nice video. Please can you make a video on Scotland.
And even Wales and Northern Ireland. Please let's know more about those places
I've been to Swindon, the town centre is home of Jeremy Kyle potential guests although the surrounding areas of Swindon can be nice which fall under the town council. The city of London is quite safe but not greater London boroughs which is realistically where most people would live as opposed to the hectic life in the center, also how did Slough make the list? The reason it has a high salary average is because the London boroughs dumped their overspill there so people with recorded London salaries pulled up the average
Haha the cast of Jeremy Kyle outside Ladbrokes
London is certainly not a safe place, if the stats are for Central London then I would agree, otherwise the many other boroughs are plagued with violent crime, gangs and the knife crime epidemic. I live in an affluent part of London and would still not recommend the city.
Good video otherwise 👍
Incredibly safe place. Just don’t join a gang. More chance of a fight or pub brawl in any other English town. London , Edinburgh always feels the safest.
Even rich kids live in London’s most violent areas. Why? Because even the most violent areas feels super safe.
London is finished now that people can work remotely.
@@JohnSmith-sm7ez im from Brazil and live in the uk and when I went to London i felt less safe than when being in Rio
@@fernandoroberts3591 Wow man, really? By the way im also a brazilian, i intend on moving to the uk in the future, when i get to my adult life. Which cities do you recommend? I really liked edinburgh.
Ironbridge, not Portsmouth, is typically regarded the "birthplace of the industrial revolution.
Depends which part of London you live as to whether it's safe. There are parts I wouldn't even walk after dark never mind live.
I can not wait until I start to travel for the first time and I will be traveling from New providence Bahamas to the UK to live for good and I know that for my first time flight travel I am going to enjoy it and I can not wait until I experience new things in the UK
choose the south west of england... friendly people and beautiful countryside
I was born in Manchester moved down south wen I was 12 from London to Colchester am 29 now been here ever since not bad place
i wasn’t expected London on this list lol… i leave in london the crime rate its high and house price…but its a cool city u got everything
"Mum, I, I'm sorry, I made a big mistake. I went to Slough"
- Tom Scott
Hull is defo one of the best places to live in England too
london - top 10 safest and top 10 most dangerous ;) awesome studies
Dunno where that Renaissance Hotel is, but it's not in Portsmouth. (Just incase someone wanted to come work there)
Sounds better than where I live in my hood!
Southampton can be a quite rough city as a large city.
Millbrook
London crime stats are a little out
Surprised Leicester or Loughborough didn’t make this list.
Please! could you make a video about courses (not university degree, or professional) you can study with a high demand for work in the Uk, just simple courses. Thanks😊
Great suggestion!
Good idea
Very subjective,,,,far more places that are great to live in and work like Barrow in Furness which has BAE building submarines...excellent job opportunities as well as other places to work...and Walney nearby that is a great place to visit......
Barrow is rough as toast!! It's also were they send pedophiles if they're released on license.
Apart from York all of the places listed are dumps with the possible exception of London which is nice if you can afford it and not a young man involved in drugs gangs (or even look like you might be) which will lower your life expectancy somewhat considerably. Where were Salisbury, Norwich, Bath, Lancaster, Ludlow, Cambridge, Harrogate, Durham etc which are much nicer places to live in than these examples?🤔
Swindon and slough, must have got there stats from wornom Hogg
10 Downing Street, London SW1A 2AB
Isn't the number of accidents at work dependent on the type of work? What kind of accidents do they have in offices - paper cuts?
I was washing a glass in the office sink and it shattered in my hand. The first aider took me to the A&E to get stitches.
Fun day out, but it turns out even something mundane can cause you to have an accident at work haha.
I am going to move to Cambridge, I feel surprised because that city is not on the list. 😐
Unfortunately City got bad regarding public safety
Thank you 🙏🙏🙏
I've come to realise that all these videos are an elaborate wind up; every single time Swindon comes out on top! (whereas everyone else think it's a dump).
Is buckinghamshire a safe place to study and work?
From Oakland Park Florida, where should i live in england?
Cambridge?
Slough,London I think not...
Warrington is an absolute shit hole. The only reason it could be considered safe, is because it's mostly industrial estates. Orford, Padgate, Birchwood etc is really rough. Low crime rates, not a chance.
Slough only has a roughly 30% white British pop. So it's pretty safe as they got rid of most of the chavs. 😂
I like Solihull and Warwick
London! With all the stabbing really.......didn't think you put Liverpool!
What do you mean exactly in regards to Liverpool, Merseyside.
Can anyone tell me whether Salford is a safe place to live? I'm from India, and I'm planning on going to Salford University but the crime rate chart in Salford sacred the shit out of me. It will be a great help if anyone can tell me about it! Thank you!
Don't worry, and Salford Uni is very good, you'll be welcome.
no
We’re do u get your information from York an London both safe I watched the most unsafe 1 an west an South Yorkshire was 2/3 I’m not saying there safe but there London liverpool
Why Oxford is not on the list
I think this guy is not taking the "shit hole" factor in his thinking.
London??? I lived there for 17 years, mugged twice and lost count of friends who experienced the same. Certain parts are a no go area after dark. Not to mention it’s a prime terrorist target. Who compiled this list?
Can't believe this isn't pre Sadiq Kahn...
What about warrington pls rply
I live in Bristol and I wouldn’t put it in the top 100 let alone top 10.
Definitely.. lived in Knowle West with my ex and hated every minute of it
I would not say London is safe now, way back yes. My relations whom I used to visit regularly have since moved out, because of violence knife crime, drugs etc., Overall watching these videos I find some are contradictory.
thats the media for you they paint a pretty poor picture
Any idea about Surrey?
I've lived in Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton and grew up in Swindon. I'd highly recommend Guilford or Leatherhead in Surrey.
Guildford is nice
First!
Obviously never been to Warrington....
Warrington is a town not a city.
Newcastle?
Statistically one of the safest major cities in the UK.
Is there life in Peckham?
Is there life in Peckham?
Pretty sure in another video you called Slough one of the worst places to live lol
Swindon ?????? Hmmmm ?
Slough is horrible!
I can’t agree with anything your video says at least five of those towns are the worst places to live in the uk I don’t understand how you can say Swindon Southampton and Portsmouth and Bristol are safe places I’ve been to every one of those towns and spoke to working-class people I think you should do your research
Southampton is nice i live there
Man said London 😂
You got slough completely wrong. Stabbings quite common. Drugs big problem. Alot suicides. Mental health (including me) a big issue with very bad or little support
Derby and Slough??? Ahem… okay.. not sure which figures you were looking at.
Why is it that most places usually have 57 sick people?
You forgot murder Mile oh sorry that is London
How are Swindon and Slough 1st and 2nd🤣🤣🤣😭
HiiFriend how ry
Bristol not so safe anymore, look at the statistics
Hii fruend yoectu
What about Edinburgh ?
That isn't in England.
He forgot bath, Salisbury and Dorchester
Sailsbury is very nice.
He didn’t forget anything? He is working from official stats Sherlock
Exeter is nicer and safe
Slough!? You trolling. 😂😂😂😂
Bro said slough is a good place to go
Hello I live in Sheffield the list does not make sense Sheffield is on the UK one but not the England one I respect your list but I do not agree with it Sheffield should be on the list I think you should redo the England list and put Sheffield on it
Haha London, might have many years ago, it's now Khan country.
Khan country ?? U mean the Arabs probably, yes when i was there for 2 yrs, it was shocking for me too to see what i think with my limited knowledge were arabs , all over......sorry i didnt mean to be mean, but even in INDIA , where i belong to, i never saw soooo many black burqa clad people as i saw in London , indeed it felt a bit strange
Londinistan
@@indranichakraborty3037 I mean...yeah..whats wrong with this world?!! I've visited dubai, oman, saudi arab and saw soo many indian hindus are there...sorry..I didn't want to be mean but it's shocking to see what are they doing in arab lands with burka, beard, hijab, niqab, kaftan!!
tf is wrong with u lmao
This list is laughable! 😂😂🏴 Milton Keynes?? Stab central, although it never used to be.
uk no more Safest Places to Live alot kids problem in local
I used to live in Bristol. Was burgled six times, cars stolen, bikes stolen. Had to learn which areas to avoid. Moved to Cornwall. Don't even bother to lock my doors now. This video is complete rubbish
I second that. In June last year our street has 3 rapes, half the cars were keyed, windows smashed, drugs, and extreme antisocial behaviour. The safest parts of Bristol are Clifton, Redland, Stoke Bishop, Henleaze, and Westbury-on-Trym.
Roughest parts: Easton, Lockleaze, St Paul’s, Cotham, St Jude’s, St Wurburghs, Hartcliff, Lawrence Hill, Eastville, southmead,
I think you are seriously misled.
So let me get this right , you have London in one of the most dangerous places to live in one video and now in this other crap video you have London as the the 3rd safest places to live and work ??????????? unbelievable load of crap
Dubious stats.Slough?
Slough has a large Sikh pop. They're pretty peaceful I guess.
@@djmonstrosity6971 Absolutely they are
Don`t know where this guy gets his info from but it`s utter Tosh.
slough 🤣🤣🤣
Tottenham🤣🤣🤣
Really hope nobody takes this list seriously and moves. What a load of rubbish 🤣
Those figures 💩
Who posted this bollox
DO NOT TRUST THIS VIDEO 😂😂😂 he is setting you up
Ahaha london your having a laugh, if theres such thing as hell on earth its london 😂😂😂
London safe 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hu dut
Swindon?! Really?!😂 man you have no idea what are you talking about
Is this satire or just complete bollocks?
Beware: Do NOT forget that in 1993 Warrington was blown up by the IRA and they killed 3 very young children, and injured some 56 other people. One of the worst terrorist atrocities that ever took place in the UK. It was appalling.
