- Zimbabwe human rights lawyer, Brian Kagoro say the west must get serious and start to pay reparations for the trauma they brought to the people of Africa and the Caribbean as a result of the transatlantic slave trade. Brian Kagoro, chairperson of the Open Society Foundation in Africa says Switzerland has continued to be rated by international agencies as one of the least corrupt nations of the world even though it keeps providing safe havens for stolen monies like the Abacha money looted from Nigeria.
Brian Kagoro was chairing a debate on reparations during the 16th general assembly of the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa, CODESRIA, in Dakar, Senegal.

One voice for Africa regarding reparations
Africa need unified strong voice for this reparations because the west still counts their wealth base the resources of Africa
It is because Africans aren’t united in our quest for colonial reparations that’s why it will be difficult to win anything but if Africa comes together and speaks one voice either the colonial powers pay reparations or Africa cuts ties with them. Cut complete ties with Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Spain, and any country that supports them. We must also demand that France pay back all the money it took from Haiti and also publicly apologize
It's the duty of African to resist every control over their own mind and resources.

Did Europeans taken part in their enslavement by Ottoman empire and North Afrikans?
Did Afrikan Americans taken part on their enslavement in America?

Some Afrikans were enslaved abroad but a lot were enslaved and killed in Afrika

Africans never practiced the most brutal form of enslavement. Europeans practiced chattel slavery.- total dehumanization of a people. The barbarity was unparalleled.
The Zimbabwean government massacred more than 20,000.00 innocent civilians from the Ndebele ethnicity group in the early 1980s yet there no talk about compensation of those victims yet you are busy demanding reparations from foreign powers for the crimes committed by their grandparents yet you can't demand the same for your fellow countrymen whom your government has wronged . How about concentrating on the topic at hand only?
Many Aftikans themselves was initial participation in the slave trade and colonization. First the Africans kingdoms that participated, must be made to pay reparations. Secondly African nations must take away all land and interest in companies that benefits from colonization. Stop the current African leaders that sell out their natural resources for cheap and continue to participate in an exploitive economic system since colonization. Do things that in your power, becsuse Africans cant force colonials to pay reparations. The fight is internal first, Zimbabwe is a good example. Zimbabwe took away land from thieves and its own nieghbors supported the economic Sanctions imposed by Europeans.
Africans may have participated but but didn't advocate for inhumane treatment.
