  • I go trout fishing at the Arkansas River in Pueblo, Colorado and had a tough day out fishing. I decided to go to a nearby pond and was able to land a couple trout.

Dude the budget gear is getting better now than the expensive gear on the market today, can’t tell the difference with the budget gear because it’s so smooth

It’s been so long since I went trout fishing it reminds of my grandfather he used to bring me in my dad trout fishing at his camp sadly he passed but hopefully in years to come I will keep the tradition alive! I am 16 so soon I will be able to drive back to the camp and make videos of me fishing there!!

Yeah it has been the most exciting way to fish! I’ve always loved fishing with light tackle especially for bass but weather here makes the bass fishing extremely hard until it warms up. Hopefully soon though I’ll be bass fishing!

You should buy the pole to match the Zephyr. Only one person authorized to sell the Zephyr rods is Bait Finesse Empire. They have them for 84.99. It’s an ultra light rod, great for trout fishing. They also have upgraded ceramic bearings for the Zephyr and they make the reel cast even better!! Good luck!!

I have been fishing for 25 years of my life and honestly I never really got into BFS because when I was growing up it was all about who could catch the biggest fish but although I personally see no appeal in BFS I do find the concept interesting to some degree I personally prefer a traditional style baitcaster with a braided main line and a 3 foot fluorocarbon leader line. One thing I can say though is that probably the reason I don't find BFS reels appealing or even necessary is because when you use a traditional baitcaster for as many years as I have you find ways to use it for any fish species big or small.
There is a common misconception that traditional baitcasters are only good for big fish species but that simply isn't true because once you use one for long enough you find ways to utilize it for smaller fish species as well one thing that really helps is understanding the gear ratios of baitcasters. Because the lower numbered gear ratios are great for bigger fish because they have more torque but the higher gear ratios are great for smaller species that require more speed and less torque to catch that is actually the main reason professional bass fishermen typically use higher gear ratios and lighter line when using a baitcaster.

@@noobpyrotech9991 Yeah the lighter the lure the harder it is to cast, I usually loosen my spool until my lure drops at a decent speed then tighten my brakes. Once I get a feel for it I start loosening my brakes to get more distance. I hope that helps

Nice video showing real life fishing -ie many casts to get a fish . If you are just starting out , try first casts standing back from waters edge , and work your way across the water . Re the conditions , and old fly fishing "lore" is dark day dark fly (lure) , bright day bright fly /lure . You may find you are casting over fish by going for distance . If you are not aware of "euro nymphing" -check it out on here , and see how close you can get to fish - they are often hooked under the rod tip . Enjoy your angling journey - its not all about catching fish , being out there in the peace n quiet is good for the soul lol .

Great video, suggestion would be a shorter swimbait you’re getting a lot of short strikes I would rip some of the head off the bait to shorten it which is usually what I do with the short 2.5in swimbaits for finesse fishing

I agree. Try using kastking 10lbs PE x4 braid with 0.09mm diameter. Other braids with the same strength has 0.14 diameter. I have the same reel with L max steel for the win rod along with my kastking brutus MH setup. Happy with these two and I can say it competes with curado. downside is the frequency of maintenance especially if you go saltwater but hey, you gain knowledge in maintaining reels.
