Interesting that Camilla, William and Catherine have all been given new honours by the King. It is sending a very subtle, but unmistakeable, message to all who care to read it, about who he values, and who he really regards as his inner circle. It would be good for Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Sophie to all receive some more of these baubles, too - although Anne and Edward already hold several, Sophie only has a couple.

The Duchess of Edinburgh is really getting out and about. Do love Sophie. She is such a down to earth, warm person, who is doing such a wonderful job. I do like Princess Beatrice too, she’s definitely blossomed since she married. Lovely to see a much more confident lady.

You know Sue what I find so incredibly sad is the fact that the Markles babies will never know the honor of being adored members of the Royal family. That is because of their parents bad choices. They are being deprived of growing up with their royal heritage knowing their cousins, aunts and uncles and extended family. They will never be a part of British history other than being the children of a paranoid abdicated Prince of the realm and a former cabled TV actress without any roots or sense of belonging in the UK. That is the legacy of Megxit. All of that is denied them in order for their parents to chase clout, fame and money. It almost makes me want to cry.

All these new honors given are wonderful, but I feel a special delight for the Duchess of Gloucester's Order of the Garter honors. She has worked tirelessly, quietly, and devotedly for the late Queen and now for King Charles for almost 50 years! She was not born a royal, but she has given a sterling example of how a commoner can become royal by her impeccable manners, discretion, and work ethics. Well done, Her Royal Highness, The Duchess of Gloucester! And Happy Birthday to Prince Louis!

The sugars were out in force over Louis birthday photo. One said the photo was taken on the same day as the mothers day one, as Louis still as the missing teeth (sugars obviously don't know how long it takes for the new tooth to come through). Then another one said, the one that was taken for his 6th birthday, was in fact taken on the 22nd of April 2023. That's a day before his 5th birthday. Even Mr Magoo would be able to see that Louis 5 and 6 year old photos were taken at different time periods.
How many spoons or bags of sugar were out in force??

You can tell how much the King loves his daughter in law Catherine. She’s everything you’d want in a wife for your son. ❤
My family on my dad’s side come from Bedford an uncle and his sister my aunt both lived beside the airfield in Cranfield with their families.
In the war and after the American airforce was based there it was primarily gliders that took troops silently across to France and smaller gliders that took reconnaissance photos of German troops and places where they had headquarters.
I do believe that there is an old war film about it don’t know what actors played in it.
Up the road from them is Bletchley where the enigma machine was invented so lots of wartime history where they lived.
The American pilots after the war used to take my cousin for rides in the gliders he was devastated when they were recalled home and no doubt so were the local lassies 😮

I'm so glad the Duchess of Gloucester has been recognised for all her hard work. As a Danish secretary marrying the second son she never expected her life to end up the way it has, not only Duchess but also a senior working member of the royal family (as an added bonus BOTH of her daughter's sons have darker skin than Meghan as well, so much for being the ''first person of colour'' to marry into the family, and that ex son-in-law is definitely a good looking lad as well)
The RF has and is carrying on without the US contingent that is eager to serve.

I used to like Beatrice too, as did the late Queen because while HM was still with us, she asked Beatrice to be the trustee of her much loved childhood playhouse, which held precious memories of her and her late sister Princess Margaret playing together. It should have been an honour as no one else had ever been allowed in it.
But what did Beatrice do? She gave her sly cousin Harry and his conniving wife the key for him to take their Netflix camera crew into it, invading that private and personal space belonging to the late Queen in order to make a film.
The pictures of them laughing whilst gloating as they pretend to drink tea were in their Netflix mockumentary.
Beatrice deliberately violated the trust HM had put in her. The York girls are not to be trusted.
I totally understand your reservations about the York girls. I always wonder if Beatrice was duped by H and M and they asked if Harry could show it to Meghan and so Beatrice had no idea the filming was happening. I don't trust Eugene at all but have always felt Beatrice took her responsibilities seriously. I could be wrong of course.
@@maggelss379 You could be right of course, she may have fallen for their lies and manipulations, but I think Beatrice is not stupid, nor is she as trusting and perhaps a little more cynical than Eugenie, as she was once overheard telling her sister not to be such a pushover. The Queen’s play house was a no-go area. Harry knew that, and so did Beatrice. On no account should she have relinquished the key to it, even for Ms Pushy, Meghan the Diabolical Duchess to look inside! This was when the Queen was still alive and they didn’t seek her permission to do so. HM must have felt devastated and very let down by her granddaughter Beatrice.

I don’t trust the York sisters. Neither of them.
Splendid for the Duchess of Gloucester but she is not hardly the first non-blood Royal to be installed as such. In the last century, QEll appointed Camilla, King George VI appointed Philip, and Kings George V and Edward Vll appointed their own wives. I believe The Duchess of Gloucester is however the first in law who was not a current/future/late Monarch's spouse to be awarded such let alone one married to someone so far down the LoS. You can tell this impeccable (and her husband already a member) have been an invaluable support to Charles and Camilla as well as QEll prior.
KCIII should have made Catherine an honorary Princess of the United Kingdom

I think king wants want to appoint Catherine to the Order of the Garter, but must make sure to honor those who have worked so much for the family first, ie; the Duchess of Gloucester. She and the Duke of Gloucester have really stepped in to help since the late Queen was unable to attend things, and really for Charles since he ascended the throne.
