Any body tell me why soft wood found in cool region and hard wood find in tropical region?

soft and hard wood depends upon development of vascular rings in the trunk of a tree.
In cold areas not much sun, acidic soil, poor humus and hence poor developments in vascular ring , hence soft wood.
In tropical areas great photosynthetic conditions are available, hence rings will be more and DENSE hence hardwood.

"acidic soil " is characteristic of Equatorial forests not temperate forests.... temperate forests are fertile... boreal forest have acidic & nutrient deficit soils. NCERT XI pg 130
