I had no idea who Antonio Cesti was. Wow. More evidence that modern Western music is Italy's gift the world. If there was ever any doubt. But perhaps, a little reminding would be useful. And this clip should add a lot. Cesti is just phenomenal. And 100% forgotten (well, until now, let's bring it to 0% as soon as possible).
