Last I checked, luna controlled a hunk of rock, not stars. And celestia had no problem taking care of both the moon and a sun, a hundred thousand times the mass of the earth when she banished her sister. ;)

You're both wrong, ( at least in my theory. XD) Luna is in charge of making the Lights of the stars come, which is a hefty task, AND controlling the moon, and the tides, and it's gravitational affect on the world. Celestia has the hard task of controlling the heat and presence of the gigantic sun. So, basically, they both balance out to being equally hard tasks, which is why they Co-rule as equals.
