      I think her bicycle world tour has come to an end as she notes in Korean in the video clip image (finally arrived at baekdu mt at the end of my 6 continents world bicycle tour). I also remember having seen a video of her few years ago that she will finish her tour in this mountain (actually I think her dream is to bicycle through North Korea to South Korea, which is evidently impossible at this moment).

    Fantastic video! I was so sad for you that it was misty! Then you had luck with the weather the day after and I actually cried of joy for you, because it seemed to be such an important place in your heart. You're so young, Jin! The world is yours. One day you'll be able to visit it through the peninsula, the way you dream.

    Your video brought tears to my eyes, even though I am a Chinese person now living abroad. Now I doubt whether your dream of seeing the Mountain Baekdu (or Changbai) Mountain from the other side can become a reality over our lifetime. But the two Koreas will eventually be one, be it 100 or two hundred years, long after we're all gone.

    That’s Changbaishan (长白山) isn’t it? It’s a beautiful place!

    INVU. Have been wanting to cycle through China for the longest time seeing westerners going through ancient villages (a long time ago) and having an internet friend that cycled from China to Vietnam. But seeing the tighter restrictions on your time in travel there you should know that times are-a-changing especially if you keep up with current events. Beautiful music at the end. Is it 'Ari-rang'? First heard it at Disneyland as a little kid and still remember some of the (anglo) words to the song. 🙂

    The problem for foreigners going to China and travelling independently is the hassle of having to know which hotel accept or doesn't accept you as a foreigner. So trying to book a hotel there only when you reached the town is a bit risky, you may not get one. Even for me as an ethnic Chinese from Singapore can be a tricky situation. So the positive spin to this is China treats every foreigner the same, whether or not you are an ethnic Chinese, or otherwise...lol

    Why do the hotels reject tourists? Do they think you don’t have enough money?

    • @universewithme
      @universewithme  Рік тому +6

      As I explained on the video, tourist have to be registered on the police system. But some hotel can't have this system to register (or they don't have license to accept foreigners). So they reject. But in the past at 2016, they didn't care it much but just accepted me because I looked like East Asian. But it seems now it becomes stricter.
