More keyboard colors are available by holding down Fn and simultaneously scrolling across the keyboard from left to right.
Purple is pleasant and easier on the eyes.
I have a different one but with the exact same lay out and it works on mine too, awesome tip.
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet but I have a similar unnamed keyboard, connected to my 4K fire stick with the dongle and adapter and found I couldn't use the back button. I tried delete, back, using Fn, Alt, everything! Then I found Esc worked as the back button. I still cannot get the volume to work, but as another person showed, if you have your light on, hold Fn and slide your finger along the bottom of the mouse pad..... Pretty! Of you leave it on a colour, the keyboard will light up that unusual shade. Or if you just want to cycle through the colour spectrum, with the light on press F2!

I actually bought this today & was going through this exact problem, but I found a solution to the volume problem.
Just use F9 & F10 as to decrease nd increase the volume.

For Firestick users:
Home button on my Rii i8+ is the italic/weird "e" button underneath the "home" button, at the right of the touch pad.
And the "options" (3 lines on Firestick Remote) is carried out on the Rii with Ctrl+Esc.

So I have the same remote/keyboard and adapter as well have tried it multiple times on my amazon fire TV stick 2nd gen and it will not work. I'm at a loss please help. I have the dongle in the adapter and the micro usb plugged into the usb port on TV and to the adapter and the adapter to the firestick and it comes on the TV but the remote is unresponsive. All the lights work on the remote but it won't control the firestick

I tried googling it, and couldn't find anything at all and figured youtube would help. Watched a few videos, none covered that. I was getting ready to just refund it until I saw that. the flash no these run off a battery pack that is charged using the micro sd charger like the one that powers on your firestick or android phones.

Mine worked on the fire stick right out of the box but I have a question I bought it for my smart TV so I could use the keyboard to search for things on UA-cam but it's making me use the arrow keys in the okay button or the mouse pad how can I use the keyboard on my LG TV to search UA-cam from the smart tv
I think that this cord also allows you to connect an external flash drive to the firestick as well (external storage).
Yes... useful for loading pictures etc or side loading apps.
The OTG adapter ($5?) works perfect to use on other android devices, it will NOT work on an iPad. I had a Nexus Tablet and the OTG adapter allowed me to use the charging port as a port to download onto a flash drive. You’ll first need to pay and download the program which costs around $10 onto your device which will then allow your devices charge port to be turned into a downloadable port to a flash drive. Love it! Too bad my Nexus tablet died.

Nice are u using a Bluetooth version? This one in the video didn’t have Bluetooth so only way was to connect via OTG cable.
I just brought one a mini keyboard, and the reason I brought was to use when I'm in the Downloader app. I just watched you video and I still can get my mini keyboard to change colors or the back button to work, hopefully you can help me out with some information. The model I brought doesn't use the type of battery I saw in the one you used. This one takes 2 aaa batteries. And it's a tv x media mini keyboard model mk 190 for TV x stream

@@YashayahuYisrael I haven’t found that out yet for your model I did find the page to buy it from but doesn’t say how to change. Have you tried holding the FN key and swiping up on your mouse pad area? That’s how mine changes.
If you power your Firestick from the tv's USB port, as you suggest, the Firestick will have to boot up everytime you turn on the TV since it is switched.
sblakeification that’s correct. I’ve seen plenty of devices left on without putting them to sleep which caused the device to burn out. Personally I’ve had it connected to the tv as mentioned for couple yrs now without issues.
Everything works okay with firestick, **except fast forward / back in youtube app**, for that its a 2 step process where you need to manually select the seekbar, and then skip using direction keys, with the official firestick remote its just one step using the skip keys.
I see you don't use Kodi. What was the app you used.. it seems much better than Kodi..

i appreciate your video and i see what youre doing as a helpful service to people who dont know, but what if you factory reset and there isnt a controller that would pair from the start, what then?
I’ve actually had that issue awhile back and what I did was download the fire tv app to my phone and managed to get it going that way just to set up.
@@sur.geek333 That still wouldnt work mate, as after factory reset the internet settings would be wiped, meaning the phone app would be useless as it has to be on the same network as the device????
Good night friend, a source of the firestick is 9 volts the tv is 5 volts, and here the firestck turns off if connected by the USB of the tv, there is some problem to connect
What's the battery life like on the rechargeable battery for the keyboard & I didn't see a link in the description to the seller you purchased it from. Also what is the operating range for the keyboard to the device where the usb dongle is plugged in?
frank j Sanchez if you are looking for a keyboard I would buy the h9 . I have another video with that keyboard. This one doesn’t have a context menu button function that works with amazon devices to pull up menus ect. The battery on both keyboards are really good I charge mine probably once every 2 weeks or so but I use mine on my Pc as well. I have my tv around 10ft away but I’ve used it at about 15-20ft in my garage as a demo for Ppl.
@@sur.geek333 I saw your vid on the H9 keyboard it looks pretty cool. But I noticed it didn't have the play/pause buttons but I'm guessing you could use the Amazon remote for that right? Plus I have a question for you, what VPN are you using? I'm considering getting Express VPN for my router that way whatever I connect to my router through wifi it'll be protected. Instead of just connecting three individual devices which is their limit if you're not using their router option. Also how do you charge the H9 I didn't see a charging port.
frank j Sanchez actually on the h9 keyboard it does not have the play/pause button but when u touch Your the mouse pad (double tap) it pauses the movie and brings up other option so that takes its place.
I don’t use a vpn only thing I use the ad blocker I have in the Canelo vs GGG video. It serves as a vpn and blocks incoming connections from amazon so if u use it and leave it on it blocks apps from being found on amazon. It also blocks incoming feeds for mega box and if u turn it off everything is normal. It only effects mega Box apk I’ve been meaning to make a video just haven’t had time. I also turn on the ad blocker to watch my sports and Pay per view events.
I have factory reset my firetv gen 1, now I am stuck at "press home button to pair" screen with no remote. Can this mathod work on this welcome screen to? Does pressing home button of keyboard will work?

Danl Hall it’s not Bluetooth it connect via transmitter but if you plan on using it for Firestick 2nd gen or Fire tv new gen u will need the adapter. First gen Firestick isn’t compatible but 1st gen Fire tv , android boxes PCs, etc it’s compatible with. U can still use your Firestick remote and this keyboard at the same time.

Did you test a thumb drive or external hard drive? If yes, does the read/write speed of the said drive doesn't slows down? Because i bought a generic micro usb hub 4port, but it dramatically slows down the speed of my thumbdrive by 90%.

@@pinchehulk3521 Generic brand Android tv box is trash, no quality, no durability, laggy, Netflix only 540p. They are great on paper but no quality at all, actually i own Tanix tx6 32gb 4gb ram, it's ok with usb 3.0, but for the performance and fluiidity, the Firestick 4k will throw it out of the water. Btw i bought a new branded usb otg and 4 port Ugreen Micro Usb Hub for Firestick and it works great, no more slowness of my thumb drive, i can watch 4k content even on my 1tb portable hard drive. If I'm going to replace my Firestick, i prefer to buy the great Nvidia Shield. My sister bought one last November during Black Friday sale, she bought it for $159 if im not mistaken with game controller in the package.
HI, I have a Bluetooth QWERTY keyboard which I have paired with the Amazon Fire Stick Lite.
The problem is, the Fire Stick displays a box of A - Z alphabet letters and numbers. I would prefer to operate all typing etc with only the QWERTY keyboard, just like with a PC. Are there any internal settings which would allow me to switch the 'letters box' off altogether, please? Guide me to the necessary.

I was SOOOOO hoping that this video would solve my issue. I have the same remote by iPazzPort and have connected it to my FireTV virtually the same exact way (just using a different cable. That said, mine is not working. I can't figure it out!
Craig Fuhr - FLIPClub are you connecting it to a fire tv or Firestick and what generation? If it’s a first generation Fire tv u need to turn off the usb debugging. My description has the steps.

I have this for my fire tv. Works great except, I havent found a button that works for the Fire TV remote menu button. You lose functionality if you cant press the menu button that is on the fire tv remote.
Chris Bowe yeah I agree I haven’t been able to access the menu on Amazon side on this one either. I ordered some different keyboards I should be getting in next week that have an actual menu button so I’ll be uploading a video on that one as well. I like this one for my Amazon box personally (I don’t use it for amazon service/ content ) works great within kodi and other apps since the right click is the context menu button in those apps.

Diamcutt Cutt it works on the cube just turn the settings off and then back on then unplug the cube from power and when it reboots it should work. I’ve had that problem in the past that’s how I resolved it.

@@sur.geek333 OK I did but thanks I even tried my other two wireless keyboards sane brands different models neither work but works great on the sticks OK got to add to this note so I had the Ethernet adapter that came with the cube connected to the back of the cube and then pulled my usb dongle cord to that and the keyboard didn't work so then I thought just pull it in directly keyboard works perfect so thanks one last question do you think the reason it did not work because I didn't have the Ethernet pulled into it as well?

Cory Brown yeah man all u need is the otg cable. I have a link in the description it doesn’t matter what brand the ones I bought I bought in bulk from China. Long as the wireless keyboard isn’t Bluetooth the cable will work for multiple keyboards. I stuck with the H9 they work well on amazon devices (except 1 generations Firestick)

Hi, my question is if TV can charge firestick,then what's the use of the micro usb to usb cable? Wouldn't the TV's HDMI port alone be sufficient for charging the firestick?
Sameer Vedula the cable used will have a spot for the wireless keyboard transmitter to be connected to.
Sameer Vedula the hdmi port will only give the device signal. The power supply the Firestick or Firetv comes with can be connoted to the tv if it has a USB port for power. That USB port is sufficient to power the devices.
I cant get my mini keyboard to pair with my fire stick even after the usb is connected to my fire stick. Now my mini key board does not have a wifi button . I accidently pressed the FN button and it started blinking, but it also stoped controling my fire stck. So i restarted it and its still doing nothing. Help !

Surio no I haven’t the power cable to the fire tv is different it’s not like the the fire sticks it has a USB port but it just doesn’t sync up what so ever and by the way thanks for the fast response I appreciate it

The volume on the remote doesn’t work with the firestick.
Yeah seems like the same issue on the rii i8+. Should have just stuck to standard remote for me the Rii I8+ for firestick is pointless as I would need to keep both remotes close just to be able to use a keypad.

MrEer218 I haven’t figured out how to make it power off but I’ve noticed that if I accidentally push a button my Firetv turns on and causes my tv to turn on.
I just received some new keyboards so hoping to post a new video on that this weekend.
You can use the keyboard on this video on pc and TVs as well I’ll connect it to my tv without my Firestick or fire tv and see if it gives me option to turn it on and off that way.

I can’t get mine to work! I even returned the first one I bought and got another one from a different seller and it still won’t work on the fire stick! I also got another better adapter still does nothing. I’m so disappointed.
Are you using the OTG. Cable adapter ? If so make sure that the usb debugging option is on that way it sees that the otg cable and wireless keyboard usb is connected .
U can also buy the H9 mini keyboard that one works better. I have a video showing that one as well in my videos . If you need help let me know .
@@sur.geek333 the connection light is lit but none of the buttons of the mouse works. I had the basic adapter cord and I just bought a better and more expensive 8 in one adapter and still I get the same results.

avery kishore if you’re referring to the original fire tv box the answer is yes. I looked up the gaming edition one and it looks exactly like the one I personally use 1st gen Fire tv.
U would connect the keyboard usb dongle to the USB port on your Fire tv and then u MUST turn off the usb debugging setting for the keyboard to respond. Check out my other video for the H9 keyboard it’s more amazon friendly than this one.

djw1969danny hey on the Firestick you won’t have a usb debugging because it doesn’t have a USB port. You will only see that setting on the first generation Fire tv. Are you trying to connect this keyboard to a Firestick? If so you will need the OTG cable to make it work on the new Firestick (not compatible with 1st gen Firestick) and Fire tv
I got the cable in the mail yeterday, paid $8.99, sux, but I got tire of looking for that specific cable, I plugged it all up, and seems the proble3m is I had three of those dongles, 2 others for game controllers and apparently you have to use the exact one for the mouse/keyboard, I got it to work but have to oredr another keyboard because I also have the android box I beenn using the other one on...thanks for a quick response though and the advice, good man

Kathreena Legaspi thanks for the info. If the Firestick is a first generation then this method will for sure NOT work. Just to make sure tho if Your Firestick has a stamp on it of 700 it’s Deff the first generation. However since your keyboard is Bluetooth u might be able to make it work. I’m at work at the moment but when I get home I’ll look at the settings and let u know what u can try to see if it works for you.
I have my keyboard hooked up. Everything is hooked up correctly. My keyboard has connection to the dongle, I know because the blue light is on. I am using the amazon firestick. When I go into developer options I don't have the option for usb debugging, only adb. What am I doing wrong?

@@sur.geek333 I figured out that my version of the firestick will not work with this keyboard. I have the 1st generation firestick 700 on the firestick.
kratos997 ok yeah after I had uploaded this video they rolled out updates which killed the support to the 1st gen. I recommend you get the 4K version it’s way faster.

I looked at the manual and it says you can also use 2 AAA batteries.
I think it’s for old Motorola charger wireless keyboard I put batteries in that but not in the micro usb wireless keyboard
You don't need the otg cable if you have a usb port on your TV... Mine does not work with the cable but does plugged into the TV... Don't know if that's a power supply thing or my firestick.... Crack on
Stu Jobling if it doesn’t work with the cable more than likely u haven’t turned off the usb debugging to allow it to give it power to the usb transmitter u connect to the otg cable.
The old firesticks with Stamp 700 u can’t use it period. Fire tv 1st gen (big square box) u connect to the USB port then turn off usb debug and every other Firestick and Fire tv u must turn off the usb debugging to make it work.
is there a way to keep the back lit feature to say on longer?
Hi Maria,
On this model the back light only stays on for about 10 seconds after a key is pressed then it turns off. It also turns off the keyboard after inactivity for about 5 min I believe to conserve the battery. Since I’ve had it I still haven’t had to recharge it once which is pretty good. If you’re looking for one that you can adjust how long the backlit stays in I’m sure you could find one. I actually just ordered another keyboard so I’ll be making a video on that one as well. Yeah you can use any mouse just connect the usb transmitter to the adapter and you can use whatever you want.
Can you get it to work for adjusting the volume though?

I bought the cable on the description and I conected it to my keyboard receiver and it does nothing. I also tried with a wireless mouse and still nothing. Do I may be missing a step? Pleaee help

I also tried to conect it to an android phone, still nothing. This is actually the second cable that I bought, the firt one didnt work and I asumed that it was broken so I bought another one. Now i have to cables and none of them work :(

it turns out that my remote control is broken. I was using the fire stick 2nd gen with the control of the tv, through the hdmi.
All ok.
Until today the fire tv stick was running slowly and I decided to return to factory settings .......... when booting, the first thing ask is to pair with the bluetooh remote control (which is broken) .. .. and I can't get out of there, he waits for the remote control.
Obviously, when returning to factory settings, I do not have the Amazon account associated ... as well as the Wi-Fi network .....
A disaster.
Can you please tell me if i can bypass that moment with this kind of conection that you do??

Exactly my problem. I want to know if this method works in this situation. I guess finding out if one of your friend has firetv and borrow remote for a day is the only solution.

Hi, I found my mini keyboard which I bought a couple of years ago, I put it on my TV it's very much the same as your mini pad but it does not light up like yours does, mine does everything even use the mouse on the fire stick home screen, but what I cannot get it to do is search in the movies section etc: I have the receiver plugged straight into my TV at the back, is this why I cannot use the keypad to search, do I have to purchase the cable to connect it via the fire stick ? Star Light I would assume that u should be able to search using your keyboard if u can us it to navigate within the Firestick system. What app are u trying to use that won’t allow you to search?

Star Light some addons require you to enable settings for keyboards what addon are you using? if you’re interested in using apks they are way more stable than kodi addons and work faster. U can find a url link to download them onto your device in my video with the insignia fire tv edition tv.

Martin Vasquez look in my description and read the instructions regarding turning off the usb debugging and see if that helps
I do not have the USB debugging option. But I was able to get it connected, not sure how I did it. I restarted the Fire Stick, along with unplugging and plugging all cable back into the Fire Stick , and it magically started to work after two days of trying to get it to work. TG. But I do want to say THANKS for your quick response. Any advice on VPN, which is best for speed and security, etc...

I’m assuming your have the Bluetooth version since u said it’s paired correct? Have you tried to go into the control settings to add your keyboard? Is that how you paired it?
Mrs Hars u can try holding the FN key and F1 key as well to pair

You can try turning on and off the usb debug option (if available) there’s been times where I would have to disconnect everything turn the tv off and turn it back on then reconnect everything and it worked. There’s also a pairing button on the keyboard as well.

Jennifer Slater what device are u using it on? Firestick , fire tv? If u look into the description of this video I have steps you might need to do (turning on or off the usb debugging depending on your device)
@@sur.geek333 firestick. I did try turning of USB debugging, still didn't work. Remote is charged, cords are hooked up correctly. I am lost with this. I have a set up like this on another firestick in another room, not problems.
Jennifer Slater by chance is Your Firestick a first generation? If the stamp on the actual Firestick is 700 it’s not compatible anymore due to software on that model Firestick.

Andrew Jeffrey pretty sure cus I have some apps installed where I have to use the scrolling on keyboard. U can just use the mouse and click on whatever u want.
U can also download the mouse toggle onto your Firestick that u can use if u don’t already have that.
How do you scroll sideways (horizontally) with this device? I know you use the two fingers for up and down scrolling. How do you scroll sideways?
Andrew Jeffrey on this keyboard I use the arrow pad on left to move page left and right then use mouse to click on whatever movie or show.

Or FN and F1 and blue lights flash and from what I heard it’s the way to pair.
I’d turn off the keyboard and turn it back on before u press those keys tho.

No the developer option needs to be turned on . You can also download the fire tv remote app to control your device but the device would need to be registered to your account to use it. Or u can buy a used remote and hold the home button to pair it with your device.

@@AaM1R.007 try downloading the app on your phone first then it will ask you for the email and password to your device once you log in it will see your device and you will be able to use it. If you are wanting to use a keyboard like the one in this video look for H9 mini keyboard it’s better than the one on this video. I posted a diff video for that one couple years ago . You will need the OTG cable to connect since these aren’t Bluetooth . If you want to use a Bluetooth keyboard you won’t need the otg cable.
