As the saying goes, "Tell me, and I'll know. Show me, and I'll remember. Let me do it myself, and I'll understand." It's great seeing your kids take an active role in all aspects of ranching, and doing tasks themselves, whether it's learning to operate a gate or operate shop equipment. That's how they become smart, capable kids now and smart, capable adults in the future.
Love how Riley is teaching the ropes of farm life to his little brother. Melts my heart. Sure glad the hay was safe and the fence fixed. Seen devastating piles of hay go up in flames here. Noticed you fixed the truck too. Good to see. I was watching a UA-cam video the other day of a parent doing all the farm chores while their spoiled kids inside the house. I have Big respect to you teaching your kids to work. Grew up working my butt off and was expected to carry my weight and more. We farmed and had a wood business. My dad said he didn't need a forklift he had kids.
Your show has fast become my favorite Utube show ! Watching your boys working and playing and growing up with their dad.... and mom, is really entertaining for me. My kids and grand kids are for the most part all grown, which leaves me with only memories of the life that you are living right now so, you enjoy,.. because your time will pass quickly.
Them there boys are our heroes we love watching them work around the farm. Ridge and Riley they go be the ones running things when dad gets to Old to ride herd.. y'all are the best...
I felt that finger chopper, OUCH!!! Reminds me of one of my boys hurting his foot, his Mom gave him a cookie to make it feel better, he put it on his hurt foot! LOL I didn't see any first aid cookies here.
It is obvious that you're raising your well behaved kids right and that is so good to see these days. Raising kids on a working farm or ranch is by far the best way to raise youngsters to become solid citizens.
The camera didn't show it the fuel line to tank connections for Generator. Need Mud Leg for fuel draw. Water and rust must fall into vertical pipe as "T" leg is down. By drawing fuel off across this leg water and rust fall into leg and save primary fuel filter change. If possible install fuel shut upstream to drain Mud Leg of water and rust. Love watching your boys learning. So many sons are doing video games not real life living, God has Blessed You ❤️
Those kids are Cool To sick for school Not for work😄 Fence looking good Dad Hope it keeps those calves in Where's that water truck A PTO with a 100' hose reel on it Ya got ranch fire protection Portable truck wash n A whole bunch of water sports fun for the kids during the summer😃 Great video ⚓Brand
You know what I did to the racks on my 4 wheeler? I cut a piece of plywood the shape of each one, bevelled the edges and even put some sealer on the edges and both sides, then fastend them to the racks, sure made it a lot easier for anyone to sit on them. Be sure to use carriage bolts so they don't snag their derrieres.👍👍
A 2 gallon pump hand sprayer with a cup of Dawn dish detergent mixed in makes a good sprayer for a welder to keep close by. For quick refills, a few premixed gallon or 2 gallon jugs is good. The detergent makes the water stick to dry feed or grass, giving better coverage on super low humidity days.
That’s what our rural fire department does. They keep a bottle of dish detergent in their fire trucks and UTVs. It works great. A good metal yard rake is pretty handy for controlling fires also.
That's the thing if you're the driver or setting in the middle you don't have to open the gate! In Ridges case he is the rider! But Riley does help out when needed! Glad you didn't have any fires!
I'll bet it's a nightmare trying to handle the finance on an operation that big. You two are amazing at multi tasking. Keep up the good work as I'm real fond of beef.
Along with knowing the mind of a bovine, Equis , and ever changing woman... now you have to be tech savvy !! Sir you have my respect.Thank God for those young men to lend a hand.
Best materials I've found for feed lot fencing is oilfield pipe and suckered rods or oilfield pipe for posts and old crane cable, all are relatively cheap and very strong compared to other materials.
In India we do something called “wet welding”. Simply put take a huge gunny sack and soak it with water till it is literally dripping. Put this below the welding area so that all your welding sparks are “killed” before they can do any damage. It has always worked here and should over there too. Enjoy!! Be alert and happy welding. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have in the past, when I had pipe tear up, is to take a larger or smaller diameter pipe, find the broken place, place the smaller length of pipe, with one piece inside the other one, drill hole through both pieces, place a bolt in the hole on both pieces n join pieces together on both ends. Spliced in.
nice great for yuz umm,,,,,is there any wind to harvest maybe i dunno umm those solar generators by jackery seem to have alot of happy customers also might want to check them out in the future
The calves enjoyed running around out of the pen. Hard working young men. When you run the generator does it charge the batteries also? Stay safe and healthy.
Having had a little experience at welding fence and starting fires you don’t mean too. You are good. Not enough vegetation in between. Always wear safety glasses. Maybe I should bring down my welder and my saddle when I come?!?!

I’m 80, and hope I live long enough to watch these kids grow and to see what they will become. Ranchers, I’m sure. So admire this family!

Riley has the kindest soul, heck of a hand too, just like all the kids. Y'all are a pleasure to watch

Yes the generator will charge up the batteries 🔋
Washing off solar panels helps them a lot. Small amount of dust cuts down on what they produce
Love brothers’ love!
Do you occasionally clean the solar panel face? Might help keeping some of the dust off to charge optimal…
Good job on the grinder ! Could have saved a bad accident if that wheel would have exploded
by grinding on the side .
Great stuff. Xxx
Having had a little experience at welding fence and starting fires you don’t mean too. You are good. Not enough vegetation in between. Always wear safety glasses. Maybe I should bring down my welder and my saddle when I come?!?!
Yessir there’s plenty to weld around here 😜⚓️🐂
Nice coat rio! Where’d you get that thing? Your grandma?!?! 😆
Did she get it from you?
For maximum satisfaction on your solar panel wash with distilled water 💧 so don't leave shots 😉
I’m guessing some of those calves had flash burned eyes😵💫
Missing got to get her hair done today
have you considered doubling the solar panels?
Yes sir
That is exactly what I would like to do!
The people that settled this county burned buffalo chips. I wonder if cow chips would burn. What state do you live in?
This is Nevada ⚓️🐂
I know you don`t like to weld. Hay is your main concern try to fab some type of clamp like a muffler clamp bolt-on just a though
Ridge can be a young Donnie Daytona.
