You can also use ribbon if you need to cheat a bit. Dont get the wire edged ribbon. Sew the bottom up to prevent fraying. Try to get heavier ribbon. You can also use bias tape. Get creative. You will get different textures.

I don't have a sewing machine either so I was thinking of making braids from my yarns and using that instead of the fabric. Probably not as durable as with a fabric "casing", but might be worth a try.

@@mrsthomsonsvideos450 it called “cygnet yarn” I got it from cancer research charity shop. They sell it on a Special company shelf. That’s lots of these 🧶(new). You can also see it on the cygnet yarn website and you will see the yarn picture.
