Visited many times while stationed at Loring AFB 50 years ago.
It has changed a fair bit since then. Still very beautiful, though.

I left school in 1981, I ran out of money. But I still love Fort Kent!!!

Completely agree. Route 161 connects Fort Fairfield and Fort Kent, two of the friendliest towns in Maine.

Congratulations to the creators of this comprehensive video. The overview is particularly good as it gives a stranger a quick study of all aspects of a sprawling community, its openness, its varying geographical features, its facilities and its physical connection to a neighboring "foreign" country. The narrator did a splendid job revealing the people's pride in its beauty, its educational and spiritual institutions, and its climate which invites physical activity throughout the year. Fort Kent is one of the gems in the State's crown, Aroostook County.

I'm now choosing between 2 university locations in Maine : Machias and Fort Kent .... - any comparative comnents ?... Thank you.
There is no comparison between the two locations. You would not think they were in the same state. Fort Kent, is agricultural and forestry, whereas Machias is mostly ocean related. Fort Kent is surrounded by French cultural whereas Machias is lower income, education, and economy. Fort Kent has longer colder winters. Hope that helps.
