Then like a lot of people, he sat down, took a deep breath, and said to himself “things aren’t so bad, it’s fine” The fact that Brian Cashman feels empowered to speak this way to the media and to the fans. Cashman doesn't know how to construct a championship roster, point blank, no questions about it. The Yankees have not won a championship since 2009, while Boston and Houston have won several. The entire roster up and down the lineup is horrendous, duplication of batting styles up and down the lineup, with a team .200 batting average. No situational hitting, 150 -200 strikeouts per hitter up and down the line-up. If the Yankees have the largest scouting department, why have they failed so miserably to draft and develop talent over the past 23 years, when virtually every other team has developed multiple stud high-ceiling talents. Hal is content to win 86 games and sneak into the post-season, losing in the first round year-in, year-out.

Unusual but certainly deserving for the media to pick on poor Cashman. Looking back at the Core 4 run with Jeter, Posada, Andy and the Great Rivera is the real fact that these players mentioned were not very emotional except maybe Jorge. You add in players like Tim Raines, Strawberry, David Cone, Wells, Brosius, etc and you might ask yourselves? These guys were cold blooded in your face players that only cared about winning and certainly intimidated every team they played. The current roster have a few in our guy Judge, Rizzo and certainly Cole. Thats it!!It's a matter of studying players and throw out the analytics BS. I stopped watching the NY Giants as I watched second generation ownership scuttle the ship. The Yankees are following the same path. Between this attitude and Hal selling TV rights, I'm done. Life is too short.
