Yes, think you're right. Would loved to have met him. Such a "laid back" attitude to flying just about anything, and anywhere. Definitely one of those characters you would always invite round for dinner. Cheers!

Apparently she was quite a good handling aircraft. Capt. Eric "Winkle" Brown flew one and liked the way she handled. Think the one that scared their pilots the most would have been the Me 163. A fuel leak could melt (yes, MELT) the pilot in about 10 minutes, and if there was even about a cup of fuel left in the tanks, and she landed too hard on her skid. BOOM! Game Over. Now that was a scary aircraft. :) Cheers Bob!
True, but at least Tamiya does give you pilots in most, if not all, of their aircraft kits, and even though you don't have to use them, it's nice to get that choice. Cheers!
