No they're not the gait is just like that u can keep your hands in place without moving, this is just the style they're not hard on the bit ;)

Hey, i come from Iceland and the gait it just like this, WE CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. You can (on some icelandic horses, like mine) you can let go off the rains and the horse still tolts with out moving it's head (slagtaumatölt) when you maybe trot, the bit changes and the head moves so, we are not controlling how the bit is, its just the gate :)
