Dever the Dancer/Connie the Soldier | The Phonograph Project

We wrapped up the Phonograph Project back in the autumn of 2021, but there's still a few recordings from the project that we never released publicly. We'll be letting them loose over the next few months, and are starting out with this one that we recorded all the way back in January of 2021. It feels like a century has passed since then; Cait had just gotten her first dose of the vaccine, and Will was still a few months out from his (which explains his pandemic hair).
The tunes were recorded by John McKenna in 1934. The first tune is a slip jig called 'Dever the Dancer', and the second is a jig called 'Connie the Soldier'.
